I did not get the results I had hoped for considering the money that I spent....I spent about $5000 on face and body treatments, however, the results were minimal at best. Very disappointing. The only reason I gave 2 stars, is because the staff was very nice, and professional....They asked me for feedback via email a few weeks after my treatment....I told them that I was disappointed in my results hoping that they would reach out and try to make things right,, but no one ever did. I like to give a business a chance to make things right before posting a negative review, so I did give them that chance...I would not recommend this to anyone...way too expensive, minimal results at best. read more

AVOID this rip-off company!! I have pretty bad sun spots on my hands. I got one laser treatment elsewhere for $150 about five years ago and after a lot of the pigment came to the surface and flaked off, I was stunned with the difference! I couldn't afford additional treatments at the time (three is often recommended to maximize the results), and they eventually came back. Last fall I had a few hundred dollars to spare to deal with my ugly hands :-( and the owner of another skin place said my hands would do great with his service, which would be ~$650 for three treatments. I then stopped in LightRx for an evaluation. The manager, J__, said it would be about $1500 for three treatments. -- Wow!! I told her that was WAY over what the center up the street said they would charge, so (just like a used car salesman does) she said she'd be right back after talking with her manager. She came back and said they would give me a "special deal" for ~$550 for three treatments. I've had three treatments over three months. Not once did I have the same results that I got five years ago with the darkening, lifting, and scaling, nor the same dramatic results. The spots have lightened somewhat. But as you can see from the photos, the spots are still very pronounced. :-( When they took my post-treatment photos, J, the manager said she would "make an exception" and give me another treatment. I said there was no point, since clearly their machine isn't working on me, and I'd already given the treatments three months. I said I just wanted my money back. She said they don't give refunds. When I pointed out how unethical that is, she said that I could talk with "corporate." I called the number she gave me, and the person who answered the phone said I would have to talk with J, the manager and immediately transferred me. I called them back and said to stop with the games, and that I wanted to talk to someone in charge and that if I didn't get a refund, I would write a review to warn everyone about my experience. She said that she would have someone call me. That was over three weeks ago. No one has called. Even though I then sent corporate an email, and called and left another message. TOTAL RIPOFF COMPANY. Scammed at the Birmingham location. I bought a Groupon for 6 visits. They schedule the visits 6-8 weeks apart so that they will be ineffective; usually 4-6 weeks for hair growth. They use the lowest setting so that there are barely any results. Then at the end of the 6 visits they schedule another visit - and they will call, text, and email relentlessly about the appointment without telling you that you are actually out of visits. When you show up for the appointment they will try to sell you expensive packages that "will finish the job". Don't waste your time, don't waste your money. Use a dermatologist that knows what they are doing, and not an office full of 20 somethings that are trying to hit sales numbers. read more

First up, the team here is GREAT. Erica is the manager and she shoots for real results! I have had a couple of procedures that have really worked. As a backdrop, I have had a surgical jowl lift, a breast reduction and a tummy tuck with back lipo. I am in my 50s and wanted to make this investment in myself over the last 10 years as a professional. Note: Even with the BEST surgeons in the business the surgical procedures DID NOT tighten my skin like I had hoped. Buyer beware!!! This company is very unprofessional. I'm not sure how they stay in business. I wish I would have done more research before stepping into this place. First of all, you will be sold HARD on buying treatments. You can read on Glassdoor many employees complaining about having to sell treatments to clients that they don't need, and also employees not getting paid on time. It is also listed they often do not have supplies to properly treat clients. There are also SEVERAL complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau. I was sold two treatments at $2250. I changed my mind on one of the treatments after a technician said it would not work on my body because I don't have enough fat in that area AND they did not have the key to operate the machine that was used for the treatment I purchased. I asked for a refund of $1500 for this treatment and was told it would take 30 days to receive the refund. It has now been over 60 days! My phone calls keep getting ignored and the general manager will not return a call from the messages I leave. read more

Venus Legacy treatments - I believe the procedure works. However I believe the results depends on the technician's technique. I am not happy with my results. I had four different technicians for the duration of my treatment and they all used different techniques and some seemed more experienced than others. I wish I would have done more research. The treatment itself was counteractive to the results I was trying to achieve and I believe it was due to the inexperience of the technician. I came here for the Light Rx treatments on my thighs and buttocks, helping to smooth out the cellulite and "melt" a little bit of the stubborn fat that has always been my trouble spots. I honestly have to say the difference after 8 treatments is very unremarkable. For the amount of money it costs ($2800!!), I have to say this was a BIG disappointment!! My advice would be to just live with the imperfections, focus on your positive assets and SAVE your money! I had really liked this business prior to one terrible experience that left me never wanting never to return, ever. During my pregnancy I had gotten stretch marks on stomach and legs. I had waiting until I was finished breastfeeding so that I could purchase stretch mark removal at LightRx. Because of the package I purchased, I also received free skin tightening services. I went 3-4 times and I did see some results on the stretch mark removal. However, I did not see any results from the skin tightening services so I decided to wait until I lost some additional baby weight before returning to complete my package. After losing an additional 10 lbs., I returned to complete my package. My usual person was not there, instead I worked with a sub who was filling in that evening. This new person (whose name I've blocked from my memory, so I don't recall her name), proceeded to body shame me for 20 minutes. As I laid there half-naked and vulnerable she proceeded to ask me if I worked out, and when I said no, she said she could tell because my skin was so flabby. She knew this was one of my last visits and tried to sell me on a package they were offering that night. She told me over and over and over again about how my body would benefit from it and she called out all of my imperfections. After 20 minutes I just couldn't take it any more and instead of bursting into tears I informed her that I'd be getting a tummy tuck after my second pregnancy. To which she replied, "Sure, a tummy tuck is great, but what about your legs.... and arms?" I didn't even think I had a problem with my arms until she said that!!! After she body shamed me for 10 more minutes I told her about how I had lost 65 lbs. of baby weight prior to this visit. She said, "Oh wow, that's great how did you do it?" I said, "Mostly breastfeeding and diet." To which she said, "Oh, yeah, I can tell because if you don't work out along with diet then your skin gets really flabby like yours is. That's why your skin is so saggy because it didn't get tightened with exercise." Of course she's right, but the point of this product is to assist in toning my skin (which it did help in doing; I did see good results). I should have left that appointment feeling like a million bucks, not feeling depressed and shameful about my body. A body that gave me a beautiful child. After coming home and crying to my husband that evening and asking him if he still found me attractive, etc. he said I should do something about it and complain to management. After two days of self loathing, I got the courage to call the manager. I reiterated my entire story and she said she was so surprised, how that was not right, how she would tell her boss, etc. I thought, ok good, something is going to done about this. Maybe this woman would receive sensitivity training or the like. A month passed and I did not hear a peep from the company in regards to a follow-up on my situation. I had an appointment coming up and I was questioning whether I wanted to go back to that office and face the staff after what happened. I contemplated canceling many times. The day before my appointment I did decide to cancel. I called and the manager answered and I let her know that I wanted to cancel. When she asked if I wanted to reschedule I said no and said that I was the person who had called a month prior about the body shaming incident, etc. I asked if anything had happened or came from that, etc. to which she replied, "Oh, I told my boss. I don't what came from that..." Then we hung up. Nothing. Nothing came from that. Did the woman get any sort of training? Did the company at least offer to give me any treatments as a make-good for my terrible experience? No. Nothing. I told a friend of mine about my experience and she was floored. She told her friend who works at another LightRx location and that person said that something like that would NEVER fly at their location. They would have at least done something for me and would have had much better customer service in dealing with my situation. read more
