Response to owners reply on Google: Original post first, then read my reply: Original post : I am very disappointed with my experience at this Wellness Spa. I was overcharged for a simple consultation fee, and the value of the service did not match the price. What made matters worse was the attitude of the owner--aggressive, unprofessional, and dismissive when I questioned the charges.Before arriving, I had even called the day before to confirm the $75 consultation fee, yet I was still overcharged. When I raised concerns, the owner's response was aggressive, unprofessional, and dismissive. She even went so far as to say my "energy" was wrong--despite not being in the front of the building when I arrived, and only reviewing me over cameras. It felt more like she was defending the receptionist, who had already given me incorrect information, rather than addressing the real issue. I admit I did walk out due to price change, refusing to pay the remaining amount because it went from $75-$85 dollars. The receptionist was wrong and I can prove it. It only made matters worse. The owner definitely was aggressive about her coins and I'm not upset about that is business but it's how you conduct business.From my perspective, the pricing appears less about the quality of care and more about covering the cost of a high-end location, expensive equipment, and the "luxury" image the spa wants to project. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of fairness and customer trust. I later discovered that I am not alone--many other customers have also reported being overcharged and experiencing the same unprofessional behavior from the owner. I came expecting a professional and relaxing wellness experience, but instead left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and financially taken advantage of. Until major changes are made in both management and customer service, I cannot recommend this spa. Reply: The consultation I booked was clearly listed as 1 hour, not 30 minutes--and I can prove this with the time slot I scheduled. To say otherwise is misleading. Additionally, I would never sit and tell my "life story." That is a complete fabrication. What I expected was a professional consultation, not personal storytelling. And on the subject of professionalism, as an aesthetic provider, it is standard practice to present your skin honestly so clients can see real results. Wearing full makeup during a consultation undermines credibility--clients should be able to see your actual skin, not rely only on pictures. For the record, this was never about money. I could have easily paid the amount twice over. The issue is with integrity and how clients are treated. The deposit itself even changed from $75 to $85, which raises serious concerns about consistency in your business practices. As a business owner myself, I know that if a front desk staff member makes an error, the professional response is to "eat the cost," not push it onto the client. Also, let's be clear: the fact that you changed your consultation policy afterward speaks volumes. If everything was as smooth and clear as you claim, there would be no reason to change your policy. Clearly, there have been several complaints about consultation pricing and inconsistencies, otherwise your policy would have stood as it was. Instead of addressing those issues, you're deflecting by accusing me of being rude--when in reality, your tone as the owner came across as aggressive and unprofessional. Lastly, I was not rude at all during my visit. Respect goes both ways, and just because someone is the "owner" does not excuse being dismissive toward clients. read more

Love my tech! She talks me thru those sensitive spots and before you know it we're done. But I'm never done after waxing. There's always something that catches my eye... Like the bath salts and bath bombs and let us not forget those aromatherapy (essential oil) candles... Can you imagine dipping your finger into hot.. er.. warm wax and rubbing onto your skin? Ikr? Located in the strip mall that includes Olga's, Jersey Mike's and a Lamp Repair Shop. Very Clean establishment so u don't have to worry.. With it being my first time getting a Brazilian Amber walked me through the process of everything and before I knew it, it was over! Voila a full Brazilian lol. Be sure to specify what kind of look your going for before you start your waxing. After Care kits are provided and be sure to check emails for specials etc. I will be returning glad I chose this place. oh Danielle!!! I SO miss you! I was not yet a yelper when I lived in Michigan but this is the place to go for waxing! of all the salon/stylists/estheticians I have been too, there are only 2 that i really truly missed.. Danielle definitely claims one of those spots. She is meticulous, fast, and PERFECT. She totally rehabilitated my eyebrows after my first waxing experience in MI gave me sperm brows (the horror!!). she had them thicc and looking fresh after just a few visits and I had the perfect eyebrows for my wedding. The best part-- she is very down to earth, easy to talk to, and REAL. my favorite combo! I went to this place after I got off of work at 3:45, I ended up getting there by 4. Their hours are 10-5, it takes 7 minutes to do the service I asked for. It's posted that they accept walk ins, I did not schedule appt because they only listed 2/2:30 for today. I walked in, the lady whose photo was next to the service online stated that it was only appts & when I mentioned walk in she said first come first serve & there was no one in the store. Then she said they were in the back. The store & lot was empty. She just didn't want to take on another client. It literally would've taken 7 minutes. I've seen so many good reviews but maybe they were seen another day by different staff.‍ read more

Going to Huevine in Southfield was my first professional full-body waxing and I was so, so glad that I was made to feel very comfortable and my nerves were set at ease. The facilities were clean, sanitary and tastefully decorated. Everyone treated me respectfully and everyone was very friendly. The procedure wasn't as painful as I'd imagined it would be and part of that was thanks to Danielle, the other part was 3 Tylenol! I wasn't left sticky as she thoroughly cleaned every bit of wax away and I loved that she used organic oils post-wax. She worked super-fast and I was left with beautifully smooth legs, underarms and bikini area. Her prices were great as well, love the combos! Absolutely awful customer service. The owner of this business doesn't seem to understand how to procure loyal customers. I had to cancel a reservation due to a personal issue that I clearly communicated with her the day (not a full 24 hours) before the appointment. Unfortunately, the business owner decided to uphold her 24 hour cancelation policy and charge me the full amount for the service in spite of me explaining the situation and asking to reschedule. Needless to say, I will NOT be rescheduling. Be careful when you book online... if you enter your credit card info and end up having to cancel, chances are you'll be charged anyway. Honestly, if the owner had just been accommodating and rescheduled me, she would have had a returning customer every month. Now she just has a bad review on yelp. read more

Really bummed that despite scheduling online and calling to confirm, when I arrived, the door was locked and no one appeared to be there. I was generous in arriving 10 minutes early and staying five minutes post my appointment time, because I fully understand that things happen! I was terrified to get a Brazilian wax, but I was assured that I had nothing to worry about. Danielle worked quickly, was very professional and had such a great personality. It really felt like she was a friend. At the end of my wax, she told me all I needed to know to prevent ingrown hairs. First time going to Danielle! Came across this place last min b/c I got my legs waxed a crappy place (astute artistry) via groupon they did a horrible job only did half my leg wanted me to pay extra 45 on top of the 24 I paid via groupon. Poor advertisement saying they do "full leg". What they really mean by that is knee down and does not include the thigh?? Anyways thank god I went to Danielle to fix/complete the job. Only charged $25 for the upper thighs and for full legs its only $45. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other salons who charge so much and do a medicore/shitty job!! Complete life safer she took me last min with no appointment. She is so friendly and great to talk to while she waxes! It was like we were old friends catching up! Not awkward at all. She is very skilled she didn't even miss a single hair on my upper thigh. Took her maybe less than 30 mins very quick. Today was my first time ever getting a brazilian wax and it was AWESOME! We talked the whole time which made me comfortable and not even really notice that I was getting waxed. Booked a sugar wax which means half sugar/half hard wax, I was ok with this but was surprised booking a sugar wax meant it won't all het waxed with sugar. After my wax India said check the area and she would meet me in the front and walked out. As I'm laying on the table I found a large amount of hair which is probably the hardest part to wax. I step out my room and called India name twice she came out the room finished the wax and apologized. After getting dress I go to the lobby to pay no one is at the lobby I leave my purse and phone on the counter and go start my car to let my windows down come back in to pay and the receptionist says, "I guess India left a patch of hair and you called her name ... I'm thinking she's about to apologize about it make sure I'm all set ... she says India was with another client she didn't know she had one the appointments are in 30 min increments so she had to step out of the room with that client to come back because you called her name(this is all in 2 mins literally I didn't even have my undergarments back on i pulled my long dress down ) who expected India to be with another customer when she told me to check the area and she would meet me in the front is what I told her, The appointments being set within 30 mins of eachother has nothing to do with me i set my appointment and was there 6 mins before. She said I disturbed the other client by calling India name by having to stop that client and come in to finish my wax. Key word (finish). Totally disrespectful. This conversation was all during me paying for my wax i go to grab my card out the chip reader and she holds my debit card without letting go completely losing her damn mind. Then says she's going to call the police because I'm yelling but the entire time she talked over me and was out of order. I could have walked out and not paid you were not even at the front desk, I didn't leave a debit card on file when i booked because the lady didn't make me so I could have left the building without payment. I had already went and started my car and came back in. The place is nice the receptionist blew it. India was very sweet sad that you can not support a black business. Made my friend cancel her appointment for Friday. I left my 3,000 dollar purse and iPhone on the front counter and started my car please take that lie else where. This girk threaten to call the police AFTER paying because i told her she lost her damn mind trying to hold my debit card after my payment was made "her reasoning was because you were going to snatch it" . So it's very pathetic for the owner to come on here with lies it's actually sad and the number one reason why you can't support black businesses, horrible customer service and blame always pointed to the customer . I've had my brows done at many places in the past and I must say HueVine is by far the best. The staff is very professional, accommodating and made me feel welcome right when I walked in the door. I had my brows shaped by Danielle, she is honestly an artist when it comes to brow, she was able to shape my brows while keeping them thick. She was also very professional and was able to answer any questions that I had regarding the company, their offered products and treatments. While I was there I purchased their lip exfoliant and whipped lip balm, it smells amazing and makes my lips feel so soft! I definently plan to utilize their business in the future! read more
