DO NOT take your dog to Li'l Pets! We are new to Stevens Point and this groomer is about 3 blocks away. We took our yorkie in for bath and trim We were called 20 minutes later that she was ready to be picked up. Her back still looked dirty but I thought maybe she wasn't dried yet. When we got home I noticed blood on my hand and husband's jacket. Her little ear was full of blood and down on her collar. One of her paws was also bleeding. To top it all off, she had NOT been bathed! That's what the appointment was for! Her face was still dirty, backside had bits of poop stuck to it and her back and neck under her collar were still greasy. Our dog loved our groomer in AZ but couldn't get out if this place soon enough! Also it's a damn puppy mill! Do Not patronize! read more

I stopped into this establishment yesterday to have a nail trim. I was greeted by an older lady and three dogs ran out from the back room. She picked up one and took it in the back room and I heard it yelp loudly. She came out to get the other two and they both cowered to her when she picked them up. I already had a bad feeling but proceeded with the nail trim. I walked to the back room to watch how they handle my dog and witnessed the younger lady grab a dog and forcefully slam a dog in a cage. I have never been so disgusted. This place is a no go. I am contacting the state to tell them how these dogs are being abused. DO NOT take your pets there. read more

Was biking through Plover this morning and saw the "Puppies for Sale" sign out front. Went in thinking I would be surrounded by adorable, happy little pups and walked in to a vacant store front with multiple dogs crying in the back. I looked through the window to the grooming area and saw 4 small dogs (all different breeds) all in one kennel squished together, crying. An older woman came out (not friendly whatsoever) with a 9 week-old pup and literally tossed it into a small kennel right in front of me. I asked if I could hold him and she said no and locked the cage and said she was working on a dog in the back and left me. The cages they have in front have newspaper at the bottom (convenient cleaning for the humans) and nothing else. No toys, food, water, anything. Also the pup was alone. When I was trying to play with the puppy through the bars I heard the woman saying mean things and it sounded like the little dogs were literally being tossed around. Tears started streaming down my face and I had to leave. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

I take my small dog here for grooming and they do a great job. I drop her off and pick her up an hour later and she is wagging her tail and happy. It can take several weeks to get in for an appointment so call early to schedule. read more

When I arrived to pick up my dog, the groomers said my dog had a problem inside the corner of her eye. I was totally shocked to see the damage they did to her. There was a hole with a jagged, uneven edge and red blood visible on her cheek. No apology, nothing. I will not take my dog back there ever again. read more

Bev sells puppies from amish puppy mills. The parents of the puppies are treated horribly! They live in filthy cages and have no love. The puppy I bought is the worst dog I have ever had and is the only dog I think would be better euthanized! Four years old and isn't housebroken. My other dogs were housebroken between 2 days and 6 months. She has social anxiety so badly she tore my solid wood door apart. She has diarrhea everywhere if put in a kennel for even a minute, she bites other dogs, she will climb 3 gates high to get to a person. I've done behavior training, antianxiety meds, pheromone diffusers, antianxiety collars, etc. She is from poor over bred dogs. Please boycott and do not buy a puppy from there! Stop the cruelty! Those puppies were left alone in their store every night for 12 hrs in the dark too! Horrible! carla is a kind, caring experienced groomer. my dogs like her and she does a great job. read more

I had just moved to the area and had taken my 2 puggles here for a both and nail trim. Both my dogs cowered to the lady trying to take them to the back room. Instead of trying to console them, she dragged them to the back room by the leash. I had a bad feeling, but was in a hurry, so I left and picked them up when they were done. This happened back in August and I never took them back there since. I chose to take them to Petco in January. To my surprise both my dogs cowered and were afraid to go with the Petco groomers at first, but they consoled them and they went with them. My dogs had always loved to go to the groomers prior to our Lil Pets experience. My male dog used to pull me to the back of Petsmart every time I had taken him there to be groomed. I wish that I would have trusted my feelings and not left my dogs with this woman at Lil Pets. I strongly suggest, don't make the same mistake as I did. Do not let these people near your pet! read more

Carla at Lil Pets is an amazing and compassionate groomer. She does a wonderful job and is patient and kind to all my babies. I trust her with my whole being that I know my dogs are getting the best non-stressful grooming experience even if they are acting naughty. She makes it always good for them. I have been to others trust me and none can compare in my opinion. She is thorough even to the point to inform the owner if she thinks something may be wrong whether it be an ear infection, eye infection, fleas, lumps and bumps, etc. Number one in my book. read more

Took our dog to get him groomed (a simple request), dropped him off in the am, groomer was very nice and asked what we wanted (length, etc), picked him up an hour later and asked how he did ..'he did fantastic', took him home and he was acting a little strange, we thought nothing of it (thought he was excited that he was groomed!). Noticed a few hours later, while petting him, that there was a hard spot on his neck, we figured it was ear wax or left over shampoo/conditioner. Later that night we used a napkin to wipe it off and it was dried blood. He had a dime-nickel size cut and scab on his neck. So we decided to check him over and noticed he actually had a cut on his penis! It even looks like a little chunk is missing! I became very alarmed and disgusted that the groomer didn't even think to let us know that she cut him. Did she not think we would find it eventually? I will be calling them tomorrow morning demanding a refund and possibly a paid vet bill to have his injuries looked at. Completely unacceptable from a groomer that has '30 years of experience'. Started asking around about this place (we went to them because we have gotten all natural treats from them and they were in town), turns out they were shut down not too long ago because a dog died there! I will continue to get treats there but NEVER EVER taking my dog there ever again to get groomed. If i could give this 0 stars, I would. read more

I have went to little pets about 6 times the first was because the owners son was a student in the classroom I worked in his senior year. The first experience was decent but the next few times I questioned if he had been shampooed because he didn't smell clean. The next time I inquired only for them to say "oh yes of course". The last time I had the last appointment of the day and he wasn't trimmed evenly. I thought I would give it another try since I like to give business to local families. Never Again!!! My son was 5min late bringing my dog to them and the grandmother turned him away because he was late and the owner wasn't there anymore because she assumed we weren't coming, so my son was told she had to run to the post office. Wow, nice accommodation for your customer....apparently in her world situations never come up! When I called at 11:30 she said she has dogs to groom Every hour on the hour and 5 min sets her back just as a Dr with patients. Ha! I'm very positive the clinic doesn't turn you away for being 5 min late and in my opinion you cannot thoroughly groom a dog in 1hr, I guess that explains the shotty job they had been doing the last few times. Don't bother giving them your business they do not appreciate it!!! read more
