Was told they always email and text confirmations but I never received either. Was told the person I made the appointment with is no longer accepting new clients. Not sure why I was able to do so on the website then. While asking questions on the phone and explaining my situation , the woman kept talking over me and telling me I was being rude. In fact, she was being rude and impatient while repeatedly telling she was helping me. Talking over me and calling me rude is not helping me. She was mad simply because I was asking questions about the new person she was scheduling me to see. As a potential new client she should be kind and patient. Left a bad taste in my mouth and does not make me want to keep my appointment. I'm a physician and know how to interact with the general public. I handle rude patients on a daily basis with grace and kindness. I was definitely not being rude. She needs to be trained. Let's hope the stylist is nicer than the front desk employee

For $40, plus a fee for using my debit card, there was a lot left to be desired. To start, there was a wait when I got there. I was told my receptionist to have a seat. The owner/manager was sitting in a chair with all types of hair clips and took about 10 mins to tell me it'll just be a minute. I did have an appointment! Then I got truly the worst hair wash of my life. Tried to explain to the girl that my hair gets knotty easily. Just said no speak English. She ROUGHLY, and I mean ROUGHLY washed my hair. Some strands were pulled out! My hair became one big knotted mess. Then I had to awkwardly lift my head for a solid 15 mins for her to try and use a comb. It was terrible, I truly have less hair than when I walked in. The blow dry was alright. She did not put a single product in it. I asked for curls which was an extra fee. She also did not even try to speak to me. She just spoke w the owner and other hair dressers as well. When it was time to pay I was not told there would be a credit card fee! I also asked for change for a 10 but they had no singles. Very convenient. Overall I've had a better blow out in the Rockland/Bergen area. Even at super cuts!

Lianna came highly recommended by several friends. I kept hearing things like "She is the Brazilian blow out queen!" "Best balayage in NY!" okay, so what's a girl to do? book an appointment, of course! For starters scheduling my appointment was super easy. She has her own studio which is so chic, clean and modern. One on one attention! That's right, no more schlepping from the washer, to the colorist, the other random person blowing out your hair. Lianna is a one woman show and it was the best experience. I don't think I could ever step foot in a crowded salon again. What I got done-Roots, highlights, balayage and blow out. The end result was beyond my expectation. My hair looks FLAWLESS and natural! I called a day prior saying I wanted a haircut and a wash and blow. I informed her that I wanted to know the cost up front because my hair is really thick. She said that we will talk about it when I come in, on my appointment I said I will be getting a haircut, collarbone length and wash and blow, I again asked how much do you think it will be. She dismissed me and told me to go to the wash area. Two stylists were present; one was washing a client's hair, the other one opened and gestured for me to have a seat. When I informed them that I was cutting it short, they jokingly said that I shouldn't in spanglish. It was then time to style my hair, a wide tooth comb was used to blowout my hair.. Just to check on things, my mother came in then later left. While my hair was getting blown out and Nani asked if I was my mother, I replied with yes. After my blowout Nani asked if I wanted to cut my hair, I answered "yes" to my shoulder. She was visibly annoyed and stated that I should have told her before the stylist went to all this trouble with my hair. I informed her that this had been mentioned to her twice and the women in the wash area. Anyways, I apologize and I understood that I could have made sure the stylist truly understood. Then, Nani asked for my phone. I thought she was asking to see if the reference photo for my haircut said no, the camera. She took a picture of the length of my hair and I was confused. I asked for layers and they said no because my hair is too thick. By now, I was really irritated and wanted to leave. NOW TIME TO PAY! This greedy lady made prices on the spot. She wrote down that I owed $250 because of how much hair I have. I knew that I was going to pay more money than the average but $250 is CRAZYYYY, let alone $150-200. She attempted to charge me $20 for a complimentary deep conditioner! AND charged me an additional $10 for wash and blow, which I discovered later. I then questioned her about the $150. She explained that it was because my hair was so thick and unmanageable. This pricing is absurd, I informed her. She claimed that they applied a cream or chemical of some kind. (I genuinely don't know, and I believe she lied because, as far as I know, she just applied Silicon Mix which is common in Dominican salon.) to make my hair more manageable for them. I said, you never told me NOR asked me to put that on my hair. Again she kept on justifying the price because of how much hair I have. I had to pay $200. Never in my life have I ever spent this much on a wash + set let alone a wash + blow! She called me on the way home and asked me to send her the picture because she wanted a before and after shot from various perspectives. Girl BYEEEE When returning home, I noticed that it was choppy and uneven. My mother was upset about the amount I had to spend and called to complain about my uneven haircut and price. She said, "My hair was thick and so unmanageable." And to my own mother, you have no idea how much labor goes into her hair because you're not a hairstylist. She then claimed that I was aware of the price, which was untrue because I hardly heard her bc a blow dryer was near my ear. I assumed she said was my mother, so there was obviously a misunderstanding. My mom asked for a partial refund and she dismissed it and said she's busy and had a customer, but I can come back again so she could fix it. Why would I want to drive hours to be treated like this again? Overall, this Nani has NO integrity AND A THIEF. Don't come here!!!
