A few hours ago when I was searching for plumbers online I would not have imagined writing this glowing review for Kevin and Lile Plumbing. This is one of the most humane, even humorous plumbing experience I've ever had, and compared to my previous plumber, Kevin is the most professional, caring, understanding, and accommodating plumber I've ever seen. I would urge everyone to give them a call at 859-231-5155 with any of your plumbing needs. I am speaking as a skeptical consumer whose first priority is getting the best service with the least cost. You will not only get a plumber who will understand your concern about quality and cost, but also someone who would try to accommodate your specific request and go well and beyond the call of duty to make this whole experience "an early Christmas present"! Here is my story: I called Lile three times just wanting to get a quote as it sounded "scary" without knowing how much they would charge you until they get on site. They couldn't give me a quote as they "do not do guess work." I had no other option as my bathroom faucet is leaking pretty badly and getting worse every minute, and only Lile can come between 12 and 2 today for a $49 fee and then they will charge by the job. Kevin called around 12:30 and arrived in less than 10 minutes. He immediately started taking notes on the problem, and wrote down three options for me. When I told him they sounded more expensive than I expected, and whether he can just take the cartridge out of the faucet , and I'll then change the black rubber rings and the springs myself, he accommodated my request with a much lower fee ($99 inclusive of the $49 fee)! After taking out the cartridge, he kindly helped me to replace the parts and taught me how to put it back, with good humor. Sadly this didn't do the trick. He then took out the cartridge again, and put in a new one, this time it worked like a charm! Right when I was nervous about how much this will cost me, Kevin told me there will be no extra cost either for the new cartridge or for his labor, other than the $99 fee. I am sharing this early Christmas present I received from Kevin to you all out there, who might be looking for a plumber right at this moment, or in the years to come. My hot water heater stopped heating water. Kevin came and looked at it and it turned out that somehow the thermostat had gotten turned way low, just enough to keep the pilot on. He could have told me anything was wrong and charged a bundle but was honest. I was only charged minimal amount for a service call. read more

The team provided quality work on a half-bath remodel. While the pricing was somewhat on the higher side, it was generally consistent with local market rates. There was an issue with the sink and vanity installation, but to their credit, they made multiple return visits and ensured the problem was resolved to my satisfaction. called them for a leak & was charged over 40$ for the trip to come local & was charged 500$ plus initially and then changed to 800$ plus when the 3 hr. job was complete. Will never used Lyle again and will never recommend them to any person. be ware of OVER CHARGE from this bunch. read more

I am so happy we contacted Lile Plumbing for our toilet issue. After another plumber had "fixed" it 4 times, it was still leaking in a 2 year old house. Kevin came out next day after my call and was so professional, informative and actually FIXED the issue! We received a thank you card and a book for our 2 year old son the very next day from him!!!!! He knows how to do his job and adds exceptional service on top of it!!!!! You don't get that from many businesses anymore. We will use this company for all our plumbing needs due to this. I needed a plumber this past week to fix a leak that had happened when my shower valve broke. I was very impressed with Lile Plumbing and would definitely recommend them. They came out very promptly, were extremely professional, and got the job done without issue. Kevin has been very accommodating to us. They are not a 24hr company. However, they came out on the weekend and replaced my busted water heater. I have used them at multiple properties for our bathroom sink and garbage disposal. They came out at 6am to install a new garbage disposal! Find another plumber. Plain and simple. They get one star for a friendly technician and scheduling a visit also being easy. That's where the service stops. Here's what happened with me: Kitchen faucet head leaked, so the wife and I decided to buy a new one (upgrade time, why not?) and have Lile Plumbing install it (because I'm busy working at the hospital and didn't have time to replace it myself) while checking for any problems. Here's what I got quoted: $50 dispatch fee $275 faucet install $99 extra supply line $262.11 replace valves = $636.11 !!!!!! I decided no amount of laziness is worth more than $600, so I put aside three hours on the weekend and did it myself, with the help of a Youtube video. And here's what I paid: $36 for new 3 new quarter turn valves ($13 a piece) **Lile's charged $262! $16 for extra supply lines ($8 a piece for two) **Lile's charged $99! = $52 total for parts (Lile's charged $361 for these same parts!) So by putting forth my own time on the weekend and figuring out how to do the work that was needed (it's very simple, just look up how to do stuff on the internet) I saved over $580.... Lile's prices are laughably ridiculous, borderline theft. I urge you to look else where and obtain price quotes. read more

To fix a tub they needed to replace all of the pipes to the faucet and shower head at $560. To replace the faucet itself, $1000. All of the work is basically done at that point, $1000 for a $150 faucet. Now I'm out $50 and looking for a plumber that isn't out to rip off people. After looking more, I realized that the "Generic, impossible to repair" stem was WIDELY available and got it for $11 off Amazon, part 9C-23H. Replaced it in 5 minutes with a 13mm wrench. read more
