If my wife hadn't gotten home 2 hours and 15 mins after he'd been here while our rescue dogs were waiting out back the entire time, I'm not sure how it would have worked, except definitely overcharged. He told me he would only charge us full on one appliance and 50% on the other after the initial $130 service charge. We own a five-year-old LG refrigerator that is making a noise like a playing card in a bike spoke. The repair person, Kevin, immediately began telling us upon his arrival that our $4,300 refrigerator was 'nothing but junk.' He heard the sound, although it was quieter that day, and I also played two recordings of the sound for him. HE STATED A FEW TIMES that he had no idea what the problem would be. First red flag. He then told us that he DOESN'T WORK WITH REFRIGERANT and that he is not licensed to do so, in the event that the problem was refrigerant related. That was the next big red flag. He pulled out the frig and took off the top panel to listen further. He put a magnet in a couple places to turn off the interior lights to listen again. Then he began to scroll on his tablet TO LOOK UP ARTICLES ONLINE for what the problem might be. That was another red flag. He put the back panel back on, scrolled further, and then took the back panel back off and reset the refrigerator digitally. He replaced the back panel again and then told us to listen to see if the noise went away when we opened the freezer drawer. He wasn't in our home more than 15 minutes, had no idea what the problem was, and left us with the advice to just keep listening for the noise and TO CONSIDER BUYING ANOTHER REFRIGERATOR. He did no actual diagnostic work, didn't remove the lower back panel to get inside and listen closer, and had no advice for how to constructively proceed to reach a solution. HE THEN CHARGED US $97.50 FOR THE VISIT, a visit with no real expertise demonstrated on his part. To add to the problem, he scratched the handle of our black stainless-steel refrigerator, a scratch that is very visible. In full disclosure, we did not contact the company about the scratch because we know they will do nothing to compensate for it. We felt that he decided at the beginning when he saw our refrigerator was a high-end LG that he wasn't going to get involved with it. He should have just excused himself at that point and not charged us for the visit. Our advice would be to pass this company by, and if you decide to call them, ask for your repair person NOT to be Kevin.

She is in my friends list and I trust her reviews. I also saw photo's of the business owner and his family, plus some of his past work, indicating to me I was looking at an honest man. But to be sure, I utilized BBB for a background check and found zero complaints in the past year, an A+ rating and that they were BBB Accredited. So I gave them a call. Ron answered the phone at 7:52 am on a Saturday. This was a huge indicator to me I was going to be doing business with a good company. He told me he had one customer ahead of me but that he would be over between 11:30-12:30 and that he would call thirty minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He called me back at 10:26 am and arrived in 15 minutes. He assessed the work to be done, quoted a price, then left to pick up a new water heater and associated parts & pieces and arrived back around an hour later. I doubled checked with my sister, who owns five houses, on his quoted price and found he came in little bit less than her prediction. Ron and his son, who was helping him, installed a new water heater, and upgraded the water pipes and gas line, along with new valves on both, to meet today's codes. He completed the work in two and a half hours. We were completely 100% satisfied with the work, his timeliness, consideration of cleanliness and knowledge of his trade. Would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing needs.
