Amazing Service from Barry at TIS Appliance Repair! I can't say enough great things about Barry from TIS Appliance Repair! I've had the honor of working with him on multiple occasions when he came to repair appliances, and each time, he has been extremely kind, professional, and pleasant to work with. Most recently, while Barry was repairing my stove, I experienced an unexpected water break in my bathroom--a pipe burst, and water was pouring everywhere. I had no idea how to turn it off, but Barry jumped into action without hesitation. He quickly helped shut off the water, preventing further damage, and even assisted me in calling the emergency rental number to get additional help. His quick thinking and willingness to go above and beyond made a huge difference in what could have been a very stressful situation. This is the second time I've interacted with Barry, and both experiences have been exceptional. TIS is lucky to have someone like him on their team--his kindness, professionalism, and dedication to helping others are truly outstanding. I had a washing machine that wasn't draining. Signed up for an appointment next day. Denny came out and had my washer apart in no time. He told me that there were two possibilities for the problem, a cheap option and a more expensive one. I liked how he recommended that we try the cheap option and see if it worked first. That's the way I prefer to do business. So far, the washer has been draining without issue. I'm out a $39.99 service fee. I think it was well worth the price. Denny explained that if the washer required more drastic repairs, they waive the service fee. In the end, these guys seem like honest, knowledgeable repair technicians. DO NOT USE: DID OVER $1000 of damage by leaking water into my hardwood floors then took no accountability and didn't even fix the washer until the 2nd time around. I rarely Yelp but had to based on this awful service as it was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had as a customer with no exaggeration I own a condo in Lexington and had a washer that needed repaired. When the TIS tech (Barry) got there he began "fixing" the washer. He called me to let me know the job had been done and afterward my tenant who had been there and witnessed the work called me and let me know that while there, Barry had left a hose improperly placed and the water turned on leaking over 10 gallons of water on my hardwood. According to my tenant "Barry freaked out to stop the water and quickly partially cleaned up the water with a towel" my tenant had to further attempt to dry up the water, but too much had spilled. After speaking with Barry ironically he had never mentioned the spill to me initially, when calling to tell me the work was done. By the next day the wood floor was ruined and the best part, the washer wasn't even fixed. I had to call Erin (the owner) and tell her the entire story. Erin was rude and unhelpful through this entire process and tried telling me that the leak was my problem and not TIS appliances. They reimbursed me no money and I am out $1000 after ripping out the hardwood and replacing. My tenant was displaced for 4 days so I could get the place back to order for him. Again, zero accountability was taken after they dodged my email to them with all of the receipt documentation. and a call and VM and when they did finally call back it was both Erin and Barry ambushing me and telling me they see themselves at no fault and basically called me a liar. Even though Barry admitted while on the phone to spilling water. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Id say company but they don't deserve to be called one. read more

I hired to fix my fridge and my washer, Barry did a good job, but on fridge put in a new thermostat/freezer and had defrosting every 4 hours for 20 minutes every time, well now my freezer is icing and sounding weird, and my fridge is warm and food is going bad. I have no working phone and went on website and no return message or call, I have an 11.00 credit and I need help now but rest of payment will be 24th due to husband's disability check. Would not recommend. Came out to repair my front loader washer due to excessive shaking. Had to come out 3 times to "repair" it and charged me every time. Had another appliance repair man come out and gave me a different diagnosis that would have easily fixed the shaking. Would highly recommend Appliance Service of Lexington instead. read more

Barry has integrity and is honest. We were diagnosed with a bad compressor from another repair service (replacement cost of $800+). TIS ordered the part but before installing determined the problem to be low refrigerant. Saved us $$$$$. Very likeable, too! read more

Beware of this business!!!!! They are not reliable, They do not perform satisfactory work at all. They do answer or return phone calls. Definitely are not reliable when it comes to scheduling appointment times and keeping them, or giving courtesy calls . BEWARE, They do not fixing their mistakes. read more
