(I know, personal opinion.) Adrian has only cut my hair once, but he will not disappoint on the fade. I've bought cologne from EM, coffee (fantastic), cold brew equipment, shampoo, etc. I've been impressed by everything I bought. They are a bit pricey on some things, but nothing unexpectedly expensive. To all my Stillwater folks, give EM a try if you haven't already! Some critiques: It can be a challenge to schedule a journeyman/senior barber on Saturdays. A lot of us are doing the whole 8-5 thing, and Saturday is almost always the best day to get a fresh cut. Not that big of a deal, but I wish it were easier. It was easier in the past (1 year ago and prior). Also, the other day I went in to buy some coffee for myself and my wife, and when I asked for a medium roast... I was told that "we don't believe in that, but we have coffee beans from here, there, etc..." Now, as a black coffee enthusiast, it felt like that comment was a departure from reality. I brushed it off and chose by origin instead of roast... I hope that's not an attempt to fight racism or something. How beans are roasted make a huge difference in taste, how they are brewed, even ground. This incident happened a few weeks ago (March 2023). Some of that is just nitpicking, but I really love going to EM. I also look forward to their expansion!

Honestly, we have all heard that before, but sure enough, 10 days later we received a text and an email that said that they were ready to go. Went to the attached invoice, paid using ApplePay, and received a text that afternoon that they had already taken them to the post office to mail! We will be back in Stillwater often and will be shopping here lots!

While it is on the pricey side, which is…read morewhy I mostly window-shopped during my time as a poor college student at OSU, now as an alumni I love to come in on football weekends and pick up some cute orange gear as well as browse the excellent NorthFace selection that is frequently carried in smaller sizes than other shops. The main reason for my 5-star rating is due to the level of service that I received with my latest purchase. During the coldest Bedlam game I have ever experienced, I stopped in looking for the warmest coat I could find. I found a great (and not cheap) puffy NorthFace jacket that I purchased and carried with me until the game started. Unfortunately when I put it on, I noticed several small slits at the bottom of the jacket where the stuffing was coming out. At the end of the game, we brought the jacket back and they offered to personally take the jacket to their NorthFace rep in Dallas to be either repaired or replaced under the NorthFace warranty. Unfortunately after inspection, the NorthFace rep could not help as it was apparently a burn and not a tear (which I am sure I did at some point when walking through numerous tailgates with heaters blazing). Nonetheless, the store manager offered to have it repaired at their tailor at no cost to me, and even had it shipped to my house in Tulsa! I greatly appreciated the level of service that I often do not experience at other retailers these days and plan to continue shopping at The Wooden Nickel in the future.

I needed a wardrobe change and fast! I stopped in Old Navy, because I figured I could find a reasonably priced t shirt. What is the first shirt I see? A Batman shirt, so I'm sold. Only $15, and it really breathed. Just what I needed to alleviate my uncomfortable situation. They had the AC going, and the shopping environment was so welcoming on this hot day. The workers asked if I needed help and seemed over all, friendly. The store was very clean and well put together. I've been in some Old Navys that look like garage sales gone wrong, but this one was well kept and on point. Well done Stillwater Old Navy!

I just moved here to Ponca and I was used to the Enid location with Lincoln and he is the TOP manager and would never treat his customers the way Dona did. I will no longer be shopping here after the treatment I received. I made a layaway 11/16, two payments ($75) one being in December, and they put my stuff back in January without any phone calls at all. When I went to pick it up they couldn't find it and were shocked it was put back. The sweet girl working told me she would talk to Dona when she came in. I picked three new things out including one of the items that was previously put back. She assured me she would hold them so I could use my credit. The young girl called me Monday night or Tuesday and let me know she talked to Dona and they would give me my layaway down payment back so I was very happy with that. However, my husband stopped by this evening to pick up my credit and the 3 small items and he said the lady said she couldn't not give him the credit and that she put the items back on the floor again for inventory ( this is Wednesday).. I called the store and she was completely unapologetic, uncaring and never let me get a word in without interrupting me. Not impressed at all with your manager!!!!!

It has a large jewelry and fragrance section. This holiday season, I'll be getting some of the ladies in my family box sets of luxurious bath and body care items. There are lots of perfume and men's cologne sampler packs that would also make good gifts. There is also a home section with lots of bedding sets, dishes and silverware. Again, some really great gift opportunities. Workers were all over the store and they asked many times if I needed assistance with anything. I plan to shop there more often in the future. It's nice that I can get a lot of shopping needs done without going to Tulsa or OKC.

I checked the size chart and ordered the appropriate size but when it arrived it was extremely too large. I couldn't find any information on the website about how to do an exchange so I called the customer service number and was told the gift recipient would have to pay shipping to send the item back and then reorder it, at a higher price, and pay for shipping again. When I told them this is horrible because she just wanted to smaller size, they said the only way to exchange is in store. The nearest store is almost 1,800 miles away. I'll never purchase anything from them again.
