3/13/19- Remembering The Past:…read more It turns out I have been to this place, but the name is now called Ace Spa. If I remember correctly, this place stayed open to 2:00am in the morning back in the early 2000's. When I worked for Securitas back in the day, I had a number of stops in this area. One one particular night I decided to get a massage during one of my breaks. Arriving after 1:00am, the place was all but dead. One night I tried out this place. I was greeted by Mama-San, who looked tired. Honestly, I think if I hadn't shown up, they might have closed. After paying the cover charge, I was lead to a room. I truly don't remember what the cover charge was, but I paid in cash. The massage was okay, but I am sure the lady was tired. Yes, this was a massage palor and no the lady wasn't wearing high heels to work, but I digress. Now because I had already given my masseuse and Mama-San the cover charge and tip, the masseuse's massage started getting lighter around butt. Yes, I have heard of getting my glutes massaged, but her finger went were the sun doesn't shine. The prostate massage was something,...but (no pun intended) the good feeling went away. The glove she used looked like one she had used before. I am not a hundred percent sure, but the idea stayed with me and that ment the happy end Avril Lavigne was singing about was over too. Should have gotten my money back, but I didn't. Guess I got what she would call a butterfinger ending...:( Maybe going when it was close to closing wasn't such a good idea.

I went there looking for a very good massage and was disappointed. Upon arriving I was escorted…read moreto a room. Preparing myself for the masseuse to enter I was there 10-12 minutes. The masseuse entered and gave me a massage and rubdown for 30 minutes I paid for 45 minutes. I was told that my time started when I entered the front door not the time spent getting the massage. I have gone to other places and paid for 60 minutes and I received a good 60 minutes with the masseuse. Also, the masseuse held her hand out for a large tip. I was a upset with this time spent with Ace. This was my first return to Ace Spa as I used to go there a lot. I feel the service is not the same. By this I mean the masseuse could be better. I don't think I will be returning again.

I have had great experiences here the majority of the time. I think over the last several years I…read morehave only had to wait one time due to it being busy. All of the other times I am taken right away. The prices are pretty much a dollar a minute plus 5 bucks if you opt for the table massage. The staff does not speak English so it is difficult to convey exactly what you want if you need to specifically describe an injury or problem you are having. I just go because I am a massage addict so I don't go for specific health reasons. This is definitely not the 5 star massage place most would have in mind but I have been going to many years and plan to continue going as needed. They are conveniently located inside of Marley Station Mall on the first level across from Golds Gym. Entering Macy's on the first level and walking into the mall is the best point of access that I use every time.

I just had a massage there for $80. As I paid on my card, I gave the woman a $20 bill and asked for…read more$10 back since they only take tips in cash. The woman held my money and told me that $20 was 20% of my bill-- which it is not, and that people usually give her $20. I explained to her that a tip doesn't work that way and additionally her math is wrong. Finally, after way too much back forth, she gave me change for the $20. I told her I was giving her $10 but fine I'll take it back. The woman proceeds to walk around from behind the desk and attempt to stop me. She even reached toward my purse as she said she would then accept the $10. Suddenly it's good enough. At this point I'm agitated and sternly advised her that I am not obligated to tip whatsoever, however I was going to anyway-- but since $10 was not enough and she felt entitled to the amount SHE preferred I would not be tipping anything. For the purposes of this review, I am a Black woman and I have heavy doubt that she would have had the same audacity if I was another race. The sheer audacity. I used to frequent this place but this was so off putting and offensive. Suffice it to say, I will never return and they have lost a customer. I will make every effort give my money to members of own my community from here on. Absolutely unacceptable.
