I have FINALLY FOUND MY DREAM STYLIST!!! I have hair most hairstylists have trouble with. It is very fine and I have a lot of it. Hairstylists have trouble turning it into a stylish, attractive cut that looks good for more than 3 hours. It always falls flat and doesn't hold its shape...forget trying to do something fun or cutting edge with it. I've BEEN LOOKING FOR THE 'PERFECT' HAIRSTYLIST for over 12 years and I've NEVER remained loyal to one. The cuts never looked quite right. Finally my prayers were answered... I read an article in Marin magazine about Lili Shahabi. Ironically, that same day the hotel concierge randomly suggested the Lili-S salon (at that time I had no idea the same person I read about in the magazine article was THE "Lili-S"). I called and asked for advice from the salon receptionist as to who I should see. Although, Lili (the owner) didn't have any plans to come into the salon that morning...when the receptionist called her at home and told her that I was only in town for a few hours and desperate for a great cut (I'd been through everyone in my homecity of Miami and barred from most salons for my incessant complaining), SHE CAME INTO THE SALON EARLY THAT MORNING TO MEET ME AND CUT MY HAIR. MIND-BLOWING!!! Lili took the time to understand my fine hair problems and then cut ... the BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Perfect bangs, perfect layers, the cut looked fantastic (I got dozens of compliments from my critical friends) and it lasted & lasted & lasted!!! It was literally the haircut I've dreamed of all of my life - layers that look good and "fall" correctly... bangs with style that fall in a flattering angle. Lili won me as a client for life for her ability to execute on her vision of how my hair can and should work on a day-to-day basis (when there is no sylist around to perfect it!). I now fly into San Francisco once every 2 months JUST to see Lili. The world would be a better looking place if there was a Lili Shahabi in every city - I can't recommend her enough! I am new to the area and I just got a job at Driver's Market in Sausalito which is the talk of the town. I love Sausalito and I love working at Drivers. Everyone is so friendly. In fact, Pam, a customer came in and told me she works at Lilli's Salon & Spa and I asked if they have a massage therapist as I hadn't been able to find one since moving here. Well, now I have, today I had a two hour massage this morning with Ash. It was absolutely miraculous. I have had serious hip pain since my childhood and it dissipated in the time I was on the table. In addition, I also had really horrible neck pain as a result of two car accidents in 2011. The residual neck pain is gone as well. Ash "guarantee's" his work and so do I. It was worth every penny. I am a massage therapist also and it was difficult to find someone that really knows their stuff. Ash is an incredible healer and anyone struggling with pain issues definitely needs to go see him. I met the owner and she is fabulous also. Her husband is an amazing gifted artist as well. The salon has a wonderful healing beautiful quality. I can't wait to get my hair cut and colored next. OK- let me tell you about my girl Aimee- the queen of waxing! This gal is amazing! I've been going to her for 5 years now to do wax/tints on my brows and lashes. She has this crazy way of being able to fix the weird cowlick in one of my eyebrows, she tints my blond eyelashes and brows the perfect color- not "WTF?" black, but a dark brown so they are seen. Back in the day, when she was at Benefit, I would watch her work on multiple people at the same time and each person would come away with a different shape brow to fit their face shape- it was fascinating and flattering to know that not everyone in Marin was walking around with the exact same brow shape! I've lived in Sonoma County for two years now, and still make the hour drive to Aimee because I can trust no one else. Not only that, she's down to earth and fun to be around and doesn't mind if I rush in for an appointment smelling like horse and with my hair in a ball cap. Lili is AMAZING! I'm one of those girls that doesn't wear much makeup but I knew I needed it for my wedding. I really wanted someone that would make me look like me just better...and Lili did exactly that. I tried several makeup artists in the Bay Area and Lili was the only one that truly gave me a natural and soft look, while still enhancing all my features. She uses great products and definitely knows what she's doing. She asks all the right questions and can look at your skin tone and color to help you determine what will look best -- which was exactly what I needed since I was a bit clueless. I was very lucky to have her do my wedding makeup for my entire bridal party and my mother as well. She is so kind and accomadating. She made me feel beautiful on my wedding day. I just went to Lili S. for the first time last week and had a really good experience! The place had really good vibes and it felt very clean and professional, I felt like I was in good hands right away. I saw Aimee Nazarian who is AMAZING! I have never colored my hair before but wanted to darken it so I was obviously very nervous to make the change but she knew exactly what she was doing and what would look best on me. I'm really happy with the color and the cut is perfect, just what I wanted. She also waxed my eyebrows and they look amazing. I would definitely recommend Aimee if you go to this salon for hair and/or waxing! She's awesome. I'm in college so always looking for something within my budget and this was not too pricey. I have been going this salon for several years and I consistently get compliments on my hair from both friends and strangers. Lili, the owner, really works with me to give me cuts that are stylish and beautiful, but also easy for me to manage after I leave the salon. She is both professional and personable, truly talented and very kind. She has fit me into her schedule at the last minute and made every effort to accommodate my time frames. I like her work so much that I continue to drive to see her even though we have since moved. My mother relishes her visits to Lili's, too. They made me look GORGEOUS & TWENTY YEARS YOUNGER (at least that's what I heard)!!! Lili is an absolute genius when it comes to color. I called her last minute and made an appointment for myself and my daughter (the bride) for the works. First I met with Sharon who gave me the longest and most fabulous facial (everyone at the wedding kept saying how well rested I looked - they must have thought I got some pre-wedding work done). Then Lili did my color, cut, stying and wedding make-up as well as my daughters (who also has never looked more beautiful but she had no choice it was her wedding). It has been a long time since I have found a hair salon where I am glad to spend my money!! Lili and her skilled colleagues create a very welcoming, relaxing environment ( no attitude ) and she has provided me three different hair cuts that left me feeling relieved and pleased when I left. I am picky. Lili listens well but also has innate artistic sense and is just a gifted stylist. I have spent much too much money in other Marin locations ( and all over Bay Area) with seemingly good press, but where the stylists and their shampoo assistants had more attitude than talent or creativity. I had never been to this salon before but I found it on Groupon. I called for an appointment with Amiee or Lili but the only appointment available was with Ash. I came into my appointment a little unsure of what i wanted exactly but showed ash pictures and tried to describe my vision. He got it 100% perfect. The process took much longer than expected (almost 5 hours) but I am so able to look past it because Ash did such a great job with the color. He also cut my hair very well it was exactly what I wanted and Lili finished the haircut off with an amazing blowout. I will definitely be returning to Lili's Salon in the future! read more

Lili S. is the most considerate and accomodating salon. i wanted to go back to platinum but was afraid because I don't know any stylists that would be as careful with my hair as I required. A friend recommended Lili and what a great experience! We talked a lot about what I wanted and how she would do that. The result?
