Bid on an item and won. Three hours later auctioneer stated someone (unrelated to me) called in…read moreand canceled a different item and they canceled mine by mistake. Then they sold the item I won to someone else for the same price I won the auction for. Now they will not correct the error they admitted to making. Seems odd an admitted error can cause a change, but a corrective action cannot. Auctioneer got so belligerent, he threatened to zero out other winning bids out of spite. Completely unprofessional and doesn't stand behind their work. Several weeks later someone from their office called asking if I wanted to buy the item now. I asked what happened to the person they told me bought it the day of the auction. He said they never paid for the item, so it was now available. Let me think about that.... No!

They charged my credit card (which was on file with Hibid) and my debit card (which I used at…read morecheckout) for an auction that I had won some items through Hibid. When I had asked them to refund the charge on my credit card they couldn't figure out how to do it. After a month I finally just had my credit card company do a charge back since Maplehurst had not given me a refund. Unbelievably, they gave me a poor rating on Hibid due to their error. This has caused me to miss out on some additional auctions due to their erroneous checkout process, which has prevented me from bidding because of a poor rating. I'm struggling to understand how they can give me a poor rating for their mistake. Just a word of caution for anyone who may be using Hibid and bidding with Maplehurst. Caveat emptor.
