From the time he received the photo in horrible shape (the cracks had been held together with duct tape), Andy was confident that he had everything under control as we held our breath. He was great in communicating with us and taking our ideas about what we wanted done. We were delighted to find out that once he received it he developed a plan on how he was going to do the restoration. We knew he was the right photographer as he did an amazing job on each of our children's weddings. Everyone had remarked about his beautiful work and loved him. We recently received an email of the before and after and couldn't be happier with them. We now are awaiting the actual restored photos with great excitement. I would have him work on any restoration project that has sentimental value to you. When dealing with these photos you realize that if someone doesn't have their heart in their work and messes it up, you only had one shot, and the project would have been permanently destroyed. She recently opened her studio here in Batavia and had some spring portraits with a beautiful setup in studio so my friend and I brought our kids here (my friend has used her before). The studio has GORGEOUS lighting; my appointment was at 10 on an early spring day and there was a beautiful glow throughout. She has different areas to use for different shoots, as well as variety of furniture and props. Olena was very welcoming and pleasant to work with. I would use her again. Parking is available either on the street (along the bridge) or in the parking lot behind the building. There are signs that are written as though you would need a permit to park here but I was told that just means it's for the businesses in the building. Parking in front will get you on the level of the studio, and if you park in the lot you'll need to take the stairs up or walk around to the front of the building.

I was very impressed with his website and portfolio, so my fiance and I set up a meeting with him. During that meeting with Rob, we were blown away about how much he knows about photography. You could tell he has a passion for this. My fiance(now husband) wanted to book Rob right away, but I didnt want to put all our eggs in one basket right away. We met with another solo photographer who could not even compare to Rob and we met with a big box company who insulted us and really just tried to sell their "made in italy" custom books, not the photography. Rob was always prompt with getting back to me as I had a lot questions and he explained everything. Our engagement session was a blast and when I saw the proofs, they were just perfect! Before the wedding, Rob was in touch with us and suggested an alternate site for wedding pictures. When we drove by, I fell in love with it! However, due to the heat on our wedding date, we went back to the bar my fiance (husband) met at and Rob was completely on board! The week of the wedding called us and we were able to discuss day of planning and we were all on the same page! For the day of, Rob and his crew were on time and started snapping away! He was professional, but fun to work with! I can't wait to see the pictures!!!! We also used his digital photo booth which was something new as the "strips" are emailed to the parties instead of printed out. Some of the pictures I took with friends turned out okay, but some were really dark which was disappointing. Overall, his price is reasonable for the area and I always believe you get what you pay for with photography. He is passionate and knowledgeable about the industry, is easy to talk to and provides a great product.

Sally was not a part of our original wedding plans, but nothing about our day was what we planned!…read more We live in Chicago and were scheduled to get married in Atlanta, GA on March 28, 2020. When it became clear around March 13th that we would *not* be traveling to Atlanta to get married, I started googling "elopement photographers in Chicago" and found Sally. At the time, she was one of the few photographers in the area I found who advertised that she shot small weddings and elopements, and she had beautiful portfolio shots of these smaller weddings alongside more traditional, larger weddings. Originally, I reached out to Sally to see if she could photograph and elopement on our original date here in Chicago. And then, when it became clear that we would be facing an imminent shelter in place order, we moved everything up a week, and got married at noon on March 20th, and Governor Pritzker announced a shelter in place order starting that evening. So, first of all, Sally was incredibly easy to work with under the most challenging circumstances. If she can handle shooting an elopement in the middle of a pandemic on a week's notice, I can't imagine how great she is under "normal" circumstances. Day of, we were stressed to the max (remember how everything felt in March? Yeah, try getting married during that!), and Sally and her husband were reassuring, joyous, and kind. They radiated joy and excitement for us, which helped my husband and I both relax. Sally ran with every idea we had, from shots in front of the Wrigley building to holding hot dogs at Portillo's. She went overtime with us, and traveled to multiple locations all over the city to make sure we had the shots we wanted. We got our pictures back and were totally blown away. They were GORGEOUS. She captured so many details we hadn't even thought to ask about, and she made me and my husband look great. Her style is crisp, clear, and journalistic, but with just enough traditional portraiture to capture those "shots for mom" we all need. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Sally O'Donnell Photography and to have such incredibly photos of my very memorable wedding day!
