From Diana to Jimmy to Juan and his installation team, everyone went above and beyond to create a beautiful enclosure for our home. The staff was responsive to all my concerns and the enclosure is designed and completed beautifully. I would highly recommend Tampa Screens and Aluminum for all your projects. I would give negative stars if I could. So many issues! First off if you are going to hire them I…read morehighly recommend you make sure in the contract it states they have to complete the job by a date you agreed by or they have to refund your deposit. I was told they can get me on the schedule to complete within a couple weeks after the permit was approved. It took them 6 weeks. They failed to stay on the top of the permit application. I had concrete contractor on standby to start on the footer. It took several calls to their office for permit status and they were not able to give me an answer. I ended up looking up the permit status myself online to learn that their permit application was approved more than a week prior. So I was the one that had to tell their office that their permit was approved and we were moving forward with getting the footer done. Same thing happened when the screen enclosure was completely finished. I had to remind them several times to order the final inspection so it could be closed out. It took a couple weeks after the job was done for them to finally do it. Tampa Screen's pricing was much higher than many quotes I received. They were recommended by our paver contractor and I decided to pay a higher premium using Tampa Screens for peace of mind the job was going to be done right. I figured their employees were well trained and supervised. But instead I learned that they subcontract out ALL of their jobs, and they have no employees except their internal office sales reps. So it was absolutely pointless to pay Tampa Screens the higher premium when they would be using one of the many options you can find online for much less. The subcontracted crew that came out only worked a couple hours a day and sometimes skipped days when I was told by Tampa Screens it would be a 2 day job. It took them almost 2 weeks to complete the job. In my initial quote Tampa Screen tried to upcharge me $600, which I declined, to allow me to have the travertine installed before the screens were added so that the screens wouldn't get full of dust. Sure that might make sense if they were staying on a tight schedule and getting the job done in 2 straight days like they said, but that did not happen. Now we get to the workmanship. They were absolute amateurs! I had to call Tampa Screens to point out they were doing the end posts wrong and it would not have passed permit inspection, which they ended up having to redo. Their cuts were way off in several places causing large gaps that got filled in by a whole bunch of caulk. Their caulking job looked like it was done by a 5 year old. They over screwed the screws into the aluminum causing the frame to dent. One of the screen doors was installed crooked and squeaks loudly when opening. They missed a screw in the footer that was caught in the inspection that I ended up screwing in myself to get it to pass. Tampa Screen said they would come out and clean up the caulking and replace the door but months later that still hasn't happened. And now I have water leaking within the composite roof when it rains. I called Tampa Screens on May 12 about the leak. They told me I had to text a number to get on the schedule to repair, which I did. I got no answer and texted them again the following day. They finally responded they wrote up a warranty ticket and would be in touch when there was dry weather. It's been almost 3 weeks of absolute no rain until yesterday and still now word from Tampa Screen to fix it. Instead of waiting around for them to hire another subcontractor I decided to take this matter into my own hands and fix it myself. I very much regret hiring this company
