Prior to completing the job, he came out promptly and provided an estimate with several options (I hadn't made up my mind about a few things), then he waited patiently for about two months because I had to get a few things in order before I could get the job done. When I was ready, he was out a few days later to complete the job. The kick plate has helped tremendously to keep the patio clean and free of dust/dirt/debris coming in from the yard and settling on the concrete.

Both other quotes had a 2k charge plus one of them wanted half of the contract price advanced to them upon materials delivery.
