I was in the area and had time to kill. I found this place. It's not your typical Chinese food take out spot..it's a sit-down restaurant. Not wanting a full meal, I ordered chicken wonton soup and steamed pork dumplings. It took a while for both to come out, but I'm guessing that's because it's all made to order. I really enjoyed the wonton soup, and I added hot oil which was perfection. The dumplings were great and one order came with 6. The sauce that accompanied the dumplings was delightful. Judging from the owner's accent they're from the northeast of China so I was not surprised when they served us double the portion size of the usual norm. Highly recommended items: 鱼香肉丝 shredded pork - best I've had in the US 肥牛肥羊麻辣香锅 beef and lamb malaxiangguo - got this for takeout. they put so much meat in a $30 dish that we couldn't even finish. A brutal comparison to what you might get for $12 from flushing with only 3 slices of fatty beef. This is a dish that's better shared with a large group of more than four. 熘肝尖 fried liver - the liver is very tender with rich flavor. Next time I'll try the duck dishes. read more

First impression was very clean, small and quaint, about 6-8 tables. The booths had adorable over stuffed chinese characters to dine with. We were given menus with a bowl of peanuts, which were enjoyable to munch on while looking over the extensive menu. We ordered the Chicken Wonton Soup. The broth was delicious, and the wonton wrapper was like rice paper, very thin and pleasant, not a typical thick wrap that hides the flavor of the meat inside, which was a tiny chicken Meatball. Next were the fried pork wonton. Delicious. Again, the outside didn't over power the flavor of the pork inside, perfectly and evenly fried. Roast Pork Fried Rice was not typical roast pork, it was authentic and so good! Rice wasn't sticky, it was moist and delicious. I ordered the Lamb and scallions. This was next level. The amazing flavor and tenderness of the lamb. Not a store bought scallion with heavy onion flavor, this was vegetable-like. Lastly the Beef and Mushroom stir fry. Again, flavorful and tender, we would have preferred less mushrooms, more beef. Excellent food experience. Only negatives: Everything came out as it was ready, not in soup, appetizer, entree order (pictures show how food arrived) And the service. Painful. Why has it taken so long for us to find this gem. The variety of food they serve here is pretty incredible. We've been here multiple times in the last 2 months and have tried different dishes each time. There has been no disappointment. Eel, Fish, Chicken, veges, dumplings. Everything has been good. Always have leftovers for the next day and the bill at the end of the meal is reasonable. Fast food costs about the same price nowadays, and instead I get freshly cooked authentic chinese food. I haven't tried their american chinese dishes yet, can't comment on that. It's family owned, and the kids help out. They are on the shy side, but respectful kids. Bon G. and I chose Ju You Ge for our Valentines Day festivities due to Spice Workshop being closed on Mondays. We had been to this venue once before and thought it was comparable to SW and also about the same distance from Shirley. It is a family operation with Hubby cooking in the kitchen and Mama running the front and taking care of the customers. We went on the early side around 5 pm but by 6 all the tables were taken. BTW... they are BYOB so be sure and bring your beer, wine etc to enhance the meal. For our mains we chose 3 dishes, after all it was a special day! We had Cumin Lamb 10/10, Sliced fatty beef with soft tofu in a really hot spicy sauce. Also had Boiled Fish in Hot Spicy Broth..Was delish and Spicy! For dessert we had an appy called Fried Pumpkin Pie..actually 6 perfectly cooked balls with pumpkin inside and a sugar coating...not listed as a dessert but a must have as the conclusion of an outstanding meal. The soup dumplings were okay. You can taste a lot of ginger in the broth. More dough than meat/soup. I would rate it 5 out of 10. It took about 20 mins to come out .. with 1 other table in the restaurant. Also ordered beef lo mein to go, and that took about 20-30 mins. So if you have time to wait, the lo mein was decent. The girl at the counter was nice and apologetic about it but didn't really give me a reason why it took so long... either way I probably won't be back unless I'm REALLY craving soup dumplings. read more

Impressed! After my doctors appointment in Selden and fasting all morning, I'm hungry. I go to Yelp and I'm directed to Tao's Fusion. Tao's Fusion is in a strip mall, its not a Chinese food takeout place but a beautiful restaurant. I walk in and the waitress directs me to a huge booth. For little ol me? I said, let me sit at the small table. There's no need to tie up a booth. She leaves a menu with me and it's all dinner portions. I asked for a lunch special menu and she came back with the correct menu (along with lunch pricing) I see the other patrons just digging into their meals. Hot pots and large shareable entrees. I'm just me, I'm looking for Ma La Tofu or Dan Dan noodles. I asked the waitress for a beer and Ma La Tofu, I don't think she understood what I was asking, I was put on the spot so I asked for General Tso's Chicken. My platter comes to me, there is a lot of food. The lunch special comes with rice and a choice of soup. I chose Hot & Sour, its also a large portion. The soup is fantastic! What they don't serve is noodles and I guess that's the trend, no more noodles and duck sauce. My General Tso's chicken? Perfection. The chicken is fresh, flavorful and cooked with just the right amount of heat. Kudos to the chef. Speaking of, my table is close to the kitchen. I can hear these guys talking some serious smack to each other. The restaurant has a private dining room with doors for a large family party. After another long fast, many Pokémon catches, and portals attacked we made our way here to end our weekend feast. Nonetheless I ordered the beef brisket noodles that ended up being a soup dish, which I still very much enjoyed despite having it on the hottest day ever lol. Their beef was nice and tender and I'm not sure if the noodles are made in house or not but they were very good! We also had to test out and try their soup dumplings and duck bao buns which were also quite yummy. The boyfriend enjoyed his fried dumplings and Dan Dan noodles (of course he asked them for hot chili oil for extra spice, which thankfully they had). Hi Yelp friends, I met my friend Mikey for lunch at Tao's Fusion today, he's been telling me about the wonderful soup dumplings here. And of course their incredible traditional Peking Duck! ..Oh yeah bring it on! I don't know if you've had the traditional (REAL) Peking duck experience. It's a bucket list type of thing that you must try. Your server will first place the steamed pancakes, hosin sauce, sliced cucumbers and scallions at your table. Now get ready for the Royal Treatment! Minutes later, The Chef will will wheel your BIG HOT, crispy Roast Peking duck to your tableside on a cool serving cart. He introduces himself and gets out the sharp knives. Almost by instinct he quickly and expertly slices every drop of available meat from your roasted Peking duck as everyone watches. He rotates the duck like a corn on the cob and peals the crispy skin from the meat. Next comes the succulent duck meat, dripping with juice as he slices off and arranges it on your serving plate. Tell me when I'm supposed to feel like the KING because you can get out the crown, I felt just like royalty. Having the duck sliced table side was a wonderful culinary treat and entertainingly educational. After a few minutes the duck had been all sliced up and was ready to be served. The steamed pancake is drizzled with hoisin sauce and pieces of scallion and cucumber are added. Then pile it high with equal portions of crispy skin and duck meat. Roll it all up like a burrito and eat while it's hot. Mikey and I dug in to our wonderfully delicious, fresh, crispy duck treats. Sooo good, there wasn't much left to bring home. Lunch at Tao's was so incredible, it had been a while since I enjoyed the whole duck sliced as I watched. This added such a wonderfully exotic accent to our lunch. Can't wait to come back again. My family had dinner here on a Friday night. The place had a simple and easy atmosphere. The servers were all very polite and helpful. We started with vegetable hot and sour soup and Dan Dan noodles. The soup was delicious and tangy. The noodles were well prepared and full of flavor. For entrees, we ordered: Lamb with cumin - very flavorful and cooked tender. It was delicious. Sesame Chicken - we hesitated to order this but to our surprise it was a clear winner. The texture of the chicken was insanely good... crispy yet juicy. The sauce was light and not goopy. Eggplant with potatoes and garlic - typically we get this and it has no potatoes at other restaurants. The potatoes were complimentary addition to the eggplant. The two combined well and the dish was great and vegetarian. Beef in hot maylo (spelling?) sauce - this too was delicious. Nice spice level and pepper kick to it. Pairs well with the rice. Other Chinese food places. It was very good. We had the fried dumplings, soup dumplings, sesame chicken, general Chou's chicken, and the meat in a stick. I have to say it is all fantastic and it all is just different then all other places. The place is family run and it shows. They take care of you while you are there. We went with friends on their recommendation. Because they were busy, rather than wait, we were seated in a private room. Given menus that looked very intriguing; interesting and unusual selections. The first problem was when the dish I ordered- shrimp with mushrooms and potatoes- arrived. The vegetables were now noodles. When I insisted it wasn't what I ordered, the waiter said it was and then, after he consulted the chef returned to say the chef had decided to change the dish. Ok, it wasn't bad but I did want mushrooms. Then we asked for water; it took 3 times but we finally got 1 glass for the 4 of us . After our dishes were delivered, no one came back to see how things were, to offer a refill of water or tea, to see if dessert was wanted.
