First let me explain that the reason I am here is that I am recovering from spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and am here for about two weeks of rehabilitation. The room, facilities, and food are all excellent. What makes this place great though is the people who work here. Every interaction with staff is very caring, professional, friendly, and supportive of my every need. I'm convinced that everyone here cares about me, and all the things I want and need. I didn't expect to be here but I'm very glad that l am. If you are ever needing skilled nursing care, you owe yourself nothing less than the best here at Springview Manor. Your welcome.

Overall great care from nursing staff, etc. I'm mostly reviewing the cafeteria, because I was able…read moreto find almost no information online before needing to spend about a week at this hospital every day with a patient. I ate in the cafeteria many times. I'm vegetarian, and during the week had multiple choices, including a full salad bar, often a vegetable or cheese pizza though not always, and the option to order a grilled cheese at the grill. Note that on the weekend there are far fewer selections and I had to make do with a very limited salad bar and a waffle maker. But for a non-vegetarian, this is an excellent cafeteria, enough so that I would consider coming here for a quick lunch if you work nearby. I really liked all the slices of pie for dessert and treated myself during a difficult time.

Was there for 2 days and was sent home with blood thinners and pneumonia meds. 3 weeks later I was back to Urgent care with 102 fever only to find out that what they gave me really wasn't the right med for pneumonia. I guess now you need to be your own doctor. Going forward I will Google my med before ever leaving the Dr office. I thought I was in good hands guess I was wrong. I found communication between Drs to be a big problem here.

I spoke to admissions and was assured they could and would take care of him compassionately. New administration came in shortly thereafter and things changed for the worse. They have absolutely no skills in taking care of a dementia patient. I caught them on the phone texting instead of seeing/ hearing my father less than 8 ft. away need help. I saw another aide with her head down napping instead of watching the few patients on this wing. There was no activities for them except to place them in front of the TV. When my father exhibited a normal progression of Lewy Body dementia, they immediately wanted to kick him out. As he lay dying in May, the facility got even worse. They basically left him to die without food or drink before he was on hospice as they did not feed a man who became incapable of using his hands. The doctor did not authorize a change in his menu to soft foods. His bed was broken so he could not sit up to eat. In fact when we were able to go into his room, the food tray was dropped off without any liquids. We were told it was a mistake. Every day we saw more and more mistakes. Imagine what would happen if we did not show up as many do not have an advocate. Our family provided him with almost round the clock care for his last 5 days since it was clear he wasn't being cared for properly. If you love your family member, do NOT allow them to move to this facility.
