It's in the shopping center right by Cheyney Road and Route 1, along with a beer distributor and Brothers Pizza. When my mom was pregnant with my older sister, she made these cloth pictures with things like the alphabet, a height chart, etc. (apparently from kits, I have no idea how you make that sort of stuff). She wanted to get them cleaned and nice again, because they were yellowing. She took them to this drycleaners, and they gave her guidance on how to get them ready to get dry-cleaned (ex. untape the ends, take them out of the picture frames). She followed the directions and dropped them back off. They were done quickly and cheaply ($14 for 2 of them). I picked them up for her, and not only did they look gorgeous (were back to the color white again!), but the woman who helped me was also incredibly nice and friendly. The store wasn't busy at all, although in addition to dry cleaning, the signs around the store said they did tailoring, alterations, and all the other sorts of things that dry cleaners offer. Their prices are great, it wasn't busy, the staff was nice, and the items looked great when they were finished- I'm probably going to be using this as my main dry cleaning place from now on!

I ordered my dress after trying on a sample, and what arrived at my house fit perfectly from the waist down, but the chest area and shoulder strap were made for a completely different individual; the top did not fit me *at all.* I called Mia to set-up an appointment for alterations and was taken immediately upon arriving at my scheduled time. She confirmed the dress was "three sizes too big" on top and that it needed a lot of work. After pinning all the areas she thought needed to be taken in, I was still dissatisfied with the shoulder strap. Mia offered me a suggestion on how to fix this, which modified the loop of the strap, but which made everything lay much flatter. I told her to proceed. The alterations cost as much as the damn dress did, but I am not surprised by that fact because it truly was the most ill-fitting dress I've ever tried on. What Mia returned to me a month after our first consultation was perfect! It fit like a glove and no further adjustments were needed. I would totally use Mia again for any adjustments, big or small!

The current operator can't speak English well. I brought in a suit and a sport coat to be altered to fit me. She gave me the price of $60 for for each jacket and $30 for the pants and I agreed. I said that in addition I would like suspender buttons put in the pants and asked if she could sell me dress suspenders .She said yes and said that would bring the price up from $150 to $275. I agreed. When I returned the 2 jackets didn't fit and there were no buttons or suspenders. I left them with her to correct this. When I returned she had added suspender buttons to the pants but there were no suspenders provided. The suit jacket fits okay and the brand new sport coat from Joseph Banks still doesn't fit well. I don't know if the language barrier is feigned or real, but it is bad.

I feel badly for you, missing out on this fun. I had hoped for a place I could drop and pick up. The first place I went to was inexplicably closed that day. Sigh. Consult handy dandy Yelp app to see what's close by. Daisy! Off I go. Wash and fold drop off service are advertised as available. I learned at arrival though that a text is required to schedule drop off. This notice was taped to the drop off counter. Shucks. I think the Universe is telling me to wash my own comforter. Fine. The change machine worked perfectly, happily dropping $20 of quarters. It's a lot of quarters. I purchased a little box of powdered detergent for $1, then headed over to one of the 3X industrial machines to load my comforter. Inserted twenty four quarters, poured the detergent in the top bin and set it in motion. The laundromat is clean and well lit. All machines were working except the one oversized dryer. There is a drink vending machine, an ATM, a claw arcade machine and a flat screen TV that was turned off. "Adult Contemporary/Classic Rock" music was playing. I decided to head next door to Newtown Square Pizzeria for lunch while my comforter was washing. In theory, they have a handicapped accessible restroom and free WiFi(which they advertise). In actuality the bathroom has a numerical code lock and there's no password posted for the WiFi. I suspect both passcodes are available when there is an attendant. There are also a significant number of security cameras and, oddly, a ring doorbell on the wall by the drop off area. Once my wash cycle was complete I hauled my damp comforter out to my car. Took it home and dried it draped across folding chairs in the basement. There's a nice sized parking lot behind the strip of buildings that house the laundromat, pizza place and a couple other businesses. The laundromat has a rear entrance which is handy. I'd go again, bringing my own detergent and being prepared to dry at home using the chair method.

I took the dresses to two other Broomall / Newtown Square tailors and asked how much they would have charged me (without letting them know how much Young's charged me) and it was between $125 - $150. The woman at Young's tried to rationalize the cost of what she charged but at the end of the day, it was highway robbery. My fault for leaving them with Young's since she did gave me a price when I dropped them off. After thinking on it for two days after I had dropped them off, I went back to retrieve them but the work had already been done. Note that it was not a rush job. I would not recommend them what-so-ever and will never return. Something like this makes me truly sad.

We were frantic and called Kari to help out - she was literally closing for the day in 15 minutes but came to the rescue and was able to put a new zipper in and stayed late and finished 45 minutes before the wedding!
