Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Aside from the fact that my fiancé said that she had Rachel; that she talked the entire time and the massage was mediocre at best, my experience was much worse. Do NOT. I repeat, do NOT see Dana. Although she told me a lot (too much) personal information about herself, I won't put that out there. With that being said, Dana talked the ENTIRE time. Even if I didn't respond, she continued to talk. She made comments and made fun of my feet. She asked me personal questions about my health and stated that I need to make sure my sugar intake was low, you know, "especially black people." Which is exactly what she said. Then asked me what my nationality was. No matter Dana's race, this was uncalled for. She was completely unprofessional and the massage itself was AWFUL!!! And I mean awful. She had no idea what she was doing and sometimes she was way too rough. And she did this thing where she pushed down on my head really hard. Oh, and the bed itself was even uncomfortable. Not relaxing AT ALL! Ugh! The whole experience! Getting there was ridiculous because my GPS kept saying I was there when I clearly wasn't. I called a bunch of times, while sending a couple texts-I received no response. No one answered my calls. In fact, I didn't get a response until the next day and they texted, "Did you find it?" At that point, WHY bother?! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I finally got there I tried to explain to Dana that I tried calling and she kept interrupting me! She did answer one of my questions, that they don't have a phone at all in their office. WHAT MASSAGE OFFICE DOESN'T HAVE A PHONE in the OFFICE?! Not to mention when I was getting ready to leave, didn't receive my glass of water. Dana of course tried to get me to say how much I liked the massage. I had left a tip against my better judgement because that's the type of person I am. And not just because Dana went on and on about how broke she was and going through a divorce. When I said, "okay, am I all set?" She said, "Well, just the gratuity." SERIOUSLY?! Dana has absolutely NO class. She basically was telling me to tip her. Ugh. I wanted to go right back in that room and take the tip back because I had wasted so much money on a crappy massage anyhow! I couldn't wait to get out of there. Dana said they were (or at least she was) an independent contractor through Jane, who owns the company. If I were Jane, I'd get rid of Dana. Idk how else to complain other than telling people about my awful experience. But it seems from a few reviews, I'm not alone. I highly encourage everyone to steer clear of Dana. If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a groupon voucher and this was the worst experience I've ever had. I didn't even get a massage. I tried a dozen times to make an appointment and they simply don't have openings for Groupon users. I understand they have regulars but to try and grow business you need to have time slots for other people! I tried calling the business to ask a question about booking and no one picked up. When I left a massage, no one ever got back to me. Now when I try to go back to their website, no website can be found. Got so sick of everything that I finally traded in my groupon for another massage company. Don't waist your money here. I have booked several appointments with Rachel and enjoyed every one. She takes the time to get to know you and listens to what area you would like focused on or avoided. I initially found Limback Wellness through a Groupon but then bought a package with Rachel after a great first experience and got a 3/$99 massage pack which I thought was quite reasonable. Her package is a punch card system and you can use it at any time - just book easily online and mention which punch you are on in the booking notes. No expiration, but why wait?! It is a little out of the way for me, but it is close to my in-laws so it gave me an opportunity to visit as well as shop in a new part of town. Totally worth the drive though! I discovered this place via Groupon and disappointed is an understatement. My massage was painful. I have never had to tell a therapist to back off, and I had to do so twice. I was also told during my massage that it was like "massaging Mrs. Gumby" and that I "must be a controlling and detail-oriented person" based on how stiff I was. So I originally booked my massage with Rachel and while it landed on a snowy day she found multiple excuses to try and back out of my massage- requesting to change my appointment time a few times, her needing bus transportation , and asking if she could bring her son to my massage appointment. I declined and decided to book with another staff member thinking I didn't want someone who was making me feel like I was an inconvenience. So I rescheduled with Dana. This wasn't any better. She asked if I wanted to use the restroom prior to the massage. I replied "That's probably a good idea, maybe I should go." She said "That's an odd response, I haven't heard that one before". This immediately made me feel uncomfortable but I tried to not read into it. She then shows me to the massage room and tells me to change and she would return. There were 3 chairs to put my belongings on and I wasn't instructed so I just chose one. When she came in the room she again made me uncomfortable and said "That wasn't the chair you were supposed to put your clothes on, but whatever". I don't see why if she wasn't needing the chair or wasn't going to change it why she needed to say anything. So she then left the lights pretty bright and began the massage. I told her I wanted deep tissue and her response was "I'll do what's necessary". The first 5-10 minutes was dry- like without any lotion or oil. It hurt and I almost said something but then she grabbed some massage oil. Also, at the beginning of the massage she said she doesn't normally keep her phone out but she had an important call she was waiting for. Throughout the massage, the phone would beep and alert with messages and she'd say "That's not the call" but I'd have to be subjected to noises that certainly were not relaxing. Dana talked mostly the whole time. I had to hear about how her ex husband divorced her and he let her house "go" and didn't ask her, etc. At one point she even disagreed with me about something I mentioned with my furnace that was DIAGNOSED BY A PROFESSIONAL but she insisted she was right because she is studying to be a realtor. OH- and the important phone call was regarding her Uber driver job and a drunk she dealt with the night before. How UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Her personality, professionalism, and manners left little to be desired. I've had many massages and never experienced the uncomfortable feeling as I did with this one. Her technique felt like it was just quickly pulling my skin as far as it stretched up and down as quickly as possible. She kept telling me to relax but it was pretty damn hard to. She told me I looked like this lady on a soap opera she watches and not to worry she is pretty or something to that degree. Then she started smacking my feet multiple times during the massage. I asked what she was doing and she said "people like this, you don't?" and continued... I can't say I've ever had this in what was supposed to be a deep tissue massage. She then asked me if my husband ever massages my feet. What the hell kind of personal question is this? I was way too uncomfortable to just stop the massage or even tell her I was uncomfortable- especially being alone in an office in the basement of some building at 7pm with this odd strange massage therapist. There were also comments about the freckles on my back and the type of shoes I wear. I honestly wondered if I was on candid camera.... worst experience ever!!!! As another yelp member mentioned, the yelp reviews post but you don't see any bad reviews on their personal website. Had I seen the accurate reviews I never would have booked at this place. I, like many others here, got my voucher from Living Social. I looked up the company, and they seemed ok... They had to schedule my appointment 2 months out, which seemed a bit strange, but ok. I then got a call from them telling me that she was not going to be available as she made some plans for that night, and the other girl there hasnt been showing up and cancelling all her appointments, so she didn't want to set me up with her. (thanks...) She said she would set me up with Steve, he is the new guy, but he only takes clients between 8pm-11pm. WEIRD! I guess it's nice to have a flexible schedule for those who work different shifts, but honestly it creeped me out to get handed off to the new man at 11pm at night for a massage... I have no issue with a massage from a guy, but this just kept getting weirder. She then called me back and said that she could get me in with him that night at 10pm or 10pm in 2 weeks. I told her never mind, cancel it. I called Living Social and they refunded my voucher. I do not trust this place. read more

I also found this place on Groupon. While the massage itself was good, the masseuse talked the majority of the time, and even made a few inappropriate and unprofessional comments towards me. I tried to write a review on the website that you book the massage through, but my review was never posted to their page. Makes me wonder how many others had similar experiences. I was very disappointed with my service. I thought I would try a new place- I got there a little early and the therapist was sitting at desk, gave me a hard time about being early- I stated I wasn't expecting service early but I was hoping to wait inside opposed to my car- she was disappointed but let me sit. She continued to read her book for 30 mins, then turned around and said it was a good place to stop and we could get started. The session began and the massage was really rough- I kept asking her to go softer as I was in extreme pain- she would just continue. At points I was in tears. The whole massage she talked and I never was able to try and relax. She gave me a really hard time about the shoes I was wearing and my weight, stating the massage would be more enjoyable if I had better shoes and lost weight. She was so rough during the entire massage she kept pushing my face into the table, so hard I actually woke up with a bruise on my face the next day. I would not recommend. read more

Dana's communication and bedside manner left a lot to be desired. I watched her break down the bed and eat a granola bar before my massage started, late by the way. I was basically TOLD, before the massage even started to leave a nice tip. The massage was VERY rough, despite my protesting, and incomplete. My neck, front shoulders, arms, and hands were left out. I am still sore days later and experienced bruising immediately after the service. The space is in the basement of an office building, small and dark with no bathroom. Don't waste your money. I booked a massage for my son. Then left a voice mail and email to confirm/possibly change date. Never got a reply. Then the day before I received an email confirming my appointment. After driving 45 minutes to get there 15 minutes early, I found the doors locked and not a single car in the parking lot. No one answered the phone, or my text, or my email. Disappointing to say the least. read more
