Once you arrive, you're greeted by a peaceful alpine lake surrounded by towering peaks, evergreen forests, and fresh mountain air. The campground is well maintained and sits just steps from the lake, making it an ideal base for camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing. We especially enjoyed walking along the shoreline and taking in the stunning scenery. If you visit during the summer, the surrounding meadows are filled with colorful wildflowers that make the landscape even more spectacular. The area is also a fantastic gateway into the Mount Naomi Wilderness, with several hiking trails nearby for anyone looking to explore even more of Utah's high country. Despite being a popular destination, it still feels peaceful and offers plenty of opportunities to slow down and enjoy nature. Whether you're planning a family camping trip, a weekend getaway, or just a scenic day drive, Tony Grove Lake is a destination you won't regret visiting. Kids under 12 can fish here without a license, but it is usually slow going. These fish have seen it all, they're the survivors. The surrounding park is open, green, clean and peaceful. I wish the pond was cared for the same way. I do like the large dock it has to fish from and the mature shade trees. Though it has it's issues, it is still a very peaceful spot to relax and have a picnic with the kiddies.

They even have a new official lacrosse field, I think, at the far southeast end. I saw them practicing but didn't walk over there to verify it. It's an oddly laid out, meandering park due to various additions over the decades, and much of it is hidden from the road. Frequented by locals, it can get busy, but the kids love all the other kids to play with. I just wish they had more full grown trees in the newer areas for us parents to relax under..maybe a cork tree for when I feel like smelling the flowers like Ferdinand.
