Tree Removal. I'll start at the end. Over decades, we've had the pleasure of using Limber Tree for tree removal. What a mess it makes, but their final cleanup has always left our yard markedly neater than it was when their trucks arrived that morning. Consider it a given. Consider also the peace of mind we're given by have a written estimate, citing each tree's contribution to the total cost, specifying the implements required, chipping and haul-off costs and risk factors, if any. I've had "estimates" shown me as no more than a jocular "We'll get 'er done!" Limber Tree's is at the opposite end of the trust spectrum...and if they end up spending less time/mileage/equipment than first envisioned, we've seen those savings siphoned right back into our pockets. The job quality couldn't be better or more safely performed. We don't opt for stump removal, but what remains is each left as a clean, level face, cut as low to the ground as possible. They could serve as firm bases for whatever one does to decorate stumps, or even as picnic tables―but only if you're very short. Timber Tree Services Inc is incredible. They are friendly, talented, expedient, affordable and overall made a difficult job into a pleasant experience. I have been looking for a good and reliable company to cut my trees, which were about 80 feet tall. I highly recommend Limber. We got a free estimate for which trees around our house might need to come down before they fell on the house. To be fair, we got a few estimates and all agreed on which trees were problems. The rain this year, and my schedule, delayed their availability. But the crew that came to take down several trees were very nice, very cooperative, and explained what they needed to do. They were very polite and responsive to requests for our neighbors regarding the trees. I really have nothing negative to say about Limber. read more

Jordan milled some cherry logs, with me helping. The logs were from trees Limber Tree felled last spring. It was an excellent experience in every way. First, I really enjoyed turning the logs into beautiful lumber. Second, I was impressed how Jordan directed my help, safely and with just the right amount of direction. We have used Limber two times, and were very happy both times. They are prompt, attentive, safe, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Erik came both times to assess our situation very thoughtfully and gave us the quote. They were able to accommodate the small changes we required. When there was a communication error in our first round of cutting, they immediately and happily corrected the situation. The crews that came were awesome, happy and speedy while always being professional and safe. Our most recent job was taking down a giant willow limb about 80 ft. above our roof. The tricky placement of the tree, meant that they had to scale the tree. It was quite a sight. We didn't have a moment of concern while they were working and now we can sleep soundly during a storm. read more

Erik, Chris and team were fantastic and professional! They just completed work 2 days ago. I closed on a cottage 4 months ago in Kerhonkson with SERIOUSLY hazardous trees. At the recommendation of a neighbor, I hired some local guys to cut down 8 trees including a dead tree that was really close to the cottage and eroding the foundation (see my picture). After several weeks of delay (I suspect they overpromised), these local guys finally got there but only cut down the 7 easy trees and left the one next to the cottage uncut (go figure!). Apparently their truck wouldn't reach it and it was "better safe than sorry". So I tried the next tree service that was recommended by a "prominent" contractor and well known in the area. That tree guy told me his lead time was 6 weeks. So I said ok will wait 6 weeks. Closer to date, no response either text or call. Finally I resorted to google and found Limber Tree Services. Erik came over, send email with detail quote itemized per tree, and said his lead time was 3 weeks. I sent my deposit after receiving their certificate of insurance, crossed my fingers and hope it will work out. I was gut renovating the cottage so a lot of investment already went into the house. It was absolutely nerve wrecking thinking all my work would be destroyed if that darn tree came down. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, that 2 weeks turned into 4 weeks but Erik was very communicative during the process. As soon as it was feasible, they had that tree cut down and also another dead one hanging over the cottage. I got a call from Chris before he and his team arrived and after they finished their work. Upon buying the oldest home in the town of Ulster, and being a Master Gardener, naturally one of my first priorities was to care for the trees on the property as well as to provide a canvas for flower gardening. That being said, I made short work of investigating arborists to provide an estimate for tree trimming. There are many "tree services" out there, so many that it is overwhelming. I took a strong positive recommendation from my son, who has used Limber extensively, and also Angie's List. Limber was prompt to provide an estimate, arrived on time, and when some time lapsed without a response from me, followed up with an offer to answer any additional questions. Of the two others from Angie's list: one provided a vague estimate that was double the cost of Limber and the other failed to show up for the estimate. Suffice to say Limber got the job. The job came in on estimate, the clean up was spectacular, and when the crazy "spring" weather of 2018 delayed the start date, there was constant communication. After the job was complete Erik was more than happy to do a walk around of the property to review the work. A few minor items were quickly addressed. It's so wonderful, being new to the Hudson Valley, to have built a business relationship with such a top notch business. These guys are great. Very professional and enjoyable to work with. The job required extensive pruning and cabling of 5 trees. There cabling technique is state of the art. They did an excellent job on all aspects of the work. They were very easy to talk to. They were able to discuss the job with me and were very open to my input. They worked quickly and efficiently. They were very neat and the clean up was immaculate. This was a complicated job and they got it just right. i do my homework before starting a job and I found these guys to be very knowledgeable and good at sharing what they know. They had a 5 man crew and everyone was polite and friendly. There pricing of the job was very fair. The job came in $600 over the proposal and they only asked me to pay the proposed amount. Had them do some pruning of a few trees close to my house. One of the trees they suggested we prune ended up have some rot, so it would have eventually fallen on my roof if the branch was not removed. They were below the estimate, which was a nice surprise. read more
