Great food and good staff. The place is always busy at lunch times, but the service is quick and consistent.

Bonus points for the unlimited coffee refills -- always a win in my book! They've got a huge selection of sweet and savory pancake combinations, or you can build your own with over 12 million possibilities (yes, really!). You can choose between buttermilk or buckwheat pancake bases -- we went with the Shakshuka Stack, which came with two fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with perfectly fried eggs and a rich, spicy tomato shakshuka sauce. Absolutely delicious -- spicy, savory, and such a refreshing change from the usual plain pancakes. Definitely enough to share! One thing to note: they do automatically add a service charge for table service, so keep that in mind when you get the bill. If you can't get enough, they even have a location at the airport -- perfect for one last pancake fix before you fly out. Highly recommend!

Sit-down interior with tables & booths. Lovely service & fantastic food options. Great selection of coffees & other drinks as well. Fast service & ability to customize quite a bit. (Note for US customers: eggs are either 'hard' or 'runny'; no such thing as over-easy or over-well!). Also customize every little add-on, so don't pay for what you don't want -- most sides we found were enough for 2 people to share. Sweet options can be incredibly sweet, so ask questions for clarity. Lots of sweet options but lots of savory too! Delicious fresh food!

Today the queue was promised at 10 minutes so we waited outside (not in the sun so was pretty chilly) for over 20 minutes for a table to become free. When we sat down we ordered right away, having had a while to peruse the menu. I went for their five egg omelette which apparently is so big it took them almost three weeks to find suitable crockery. I digress. The breakfast omelette was certainly huge, with two chunky slices of toast accompanying it. However it tasted pretty greasy, probably mainly due to the sausage which wasn't great quality. I got a bit bored halfway through eating it so gave up and got it to take away! I was pretty full so didn't get chance to get a dessert but they looked pretty interesting. On the whole there's great choice for breakfast, brunch and dessert but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't say it was bad but I don't think I'll be rushing back.

I had, by chance, noticed an advert on the subway and thought it looked interesting! Let me start off by saying that the portions are HUGE. Coming here with a huge appetite is definitely the way to go! I ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon and a vanilla latte. The pancakes were massive and fluffy, served with delicious maple syrup and crispy bacon. Definitely the best I have tried outside of Canada. The vanilla latte was sweet, creamy and filling! My boyfriend had the egg and bacon bagel which came with a delicious side salad. The vanilla milkshake that he ordered was bloomin' lovely! Sprinkles on top and sugary till the very end! I would highly recommend a visit here for breakfast- I will be back very soon!

A family run, very popular, place, Crema has a great range of food. From paninis (heaven is full of their chicken pesto paninis) to homemade bakes and cakes, hearty soups and a nice line of caffeine based beverages, I spent many a Saturday/Sunday morning brunching here. There are more seats upstairs, and whilst the decor is pretty bog standard, check out the amazing photographs on the walls, amazing portraits in black and white. Price wise it is about average, although the temptation of cake always meant our bill was a little high for a brunch but hey, what's life about if not treating yourself?!! I'd recommend Crema if you are in Hamilton town centre (or even down at the Asda, it's not much of a walk) for any reason. Good food, friendly helpful staff, for a good price. If you are lucky you can chat to the owner(s) and see just how passionate they are about sourcing local produce as well, an excellent sign!

Food comprises snacks with toasties and other light snacks being heated on the premises on order. Coffee is smooth and enjoyable with no bitter aftertaste. Staff are usually too busy to do much more than take orders, prep food and take money. It is rather cramped especially when several people are waiting for their take away orders, but places worth recommending are usually very popular and this is no exception.

It is conveniently located at the end of the walk through Electric Glen so there was constantly people coming in to see about whether they could get a table. We hadn't tried The Boathouse, despite it being in our local park. When we arrived last night I was impressed by the decor - they've definitely gone for a boating theme but it's done in a very classy, relaxed way rather than being naff and tacky. We had a comfortable table for 4 by the window looking over the pond which would be an excellent spot to dine in summer. I was initially a little disappointed by the menu as it all seemed like standard café grub and the prices gave me the impression it might not be a great standard. There's sandwiches, baked potatoes, burgers, wraps plus a hot dishes section with fish & chips, macaroni cheese, beef chilli etc. And they have a separate breakfast meal (my favourite meal of the day!) I then read the cute little info box on the menu that says "real people make real food from real ingredients" and all outsourced food is marked on the menu so you know what is/isn't made on site. Understably things like ice cream, pasta plus some cakes/bread are bought in but it was pleasing to see the rest is made on site. I opted for the mac cheese - after doubling checking with the waitress what she thought of it. I think the price was around £5.50 so I was a bit worried it would be tiny or substard. When it arrived it was in a decent sized ramekin with garlic bread and side salad. It was incredibly cheesy and creamy and I'm pleased to report it was one of the best macaroni cheese dishes I've tried to date. Big call I know, as I eat a lot of macaroni cheese! My only comment about it was that the noodles were really small (perhaps maccheroncelli pasta which I had to google to check the name of!). But that wasn't anything to complain about, just something to note! The extra side of chips I ordered were also really good - nothing to rave about, but decent chips all the same. Service was exceptional - even without having to take into account how busy The Boathouse must be while Electric Glen was on. The place didn't feel busy, the staff didn't seem rushed and they were all calm and helpful. The waitress even came back to ask what I thought of the macaroni cheese after I'd finished it which I thought was nice of her. The bill for a meal for four people (mains only, a soft drink each) came to a very reasonable £40. If you want to have some drinks, they are BYOB with no charge for corkage. They also have free wifi. Seriously - this place is awesome. For proper, decent food right on our doorstep, I'm totally kicking myself for not visiting this absolute gem sooner and can't wait to go again.
