Another beautiful venue for a hike. Great views. Easy level here. There are some streams you can cross and numerous trails.

It's OK place for a walk and get some steps in. The trail is around 2 miles and there is not a challenging trail, so all you'll do is walk. The nature is beautiful, some picnic areas, alot of people with kids. There is a river and a swing (didnt had a chance to use it, there were too many kids who were enjoying that place :) This trail is an easy and nice walk in the park. Plenty of free street parking.

I love this place is clean every one is so friendly and respectful! I consider this a small trial hike but if you have an hour to spare this place is for you. ‍

My wife and I came here today since the weather was nice with some clouds. My wife needed a nice walk in nature to release some stress so I figure this would be a good place. I tried doing the street parking which there were some before Corbin on Rinaldi or on the other side too. My wife wanted to use the bathroom first so I just parked my car at the Porter Ranch town center and walked from there to the hiking trail. It's a pretty good trail about 1.7 miles and has a nice small river so you can enjoy the sound of the water. When we made it to 1 particular spot with a swing and tire, I think that was the end of the trail so we stopped.

This place is such a peaceful trail! One of my favorite hiking trails I've been to so far. It's about 2 miles and I would say it is an easy walk with minor inclines. I can't wait to go back soon!

This park & trail is located close to Chatsworth & Porter Ranch. The trail path has a stream that flows with shady trees and is close to residential area. Easy to hike with kids and family. Has a few picnic tables in the beginning of the trail.

This is a very beautiful spot to take a quick walk/hike in the Porter Ranch area. It's a very easy trail, dog friendly and has a decent amount of shade for the hot summers. There is a recreation area to have a picnic or get a workout in. KEEP IN MIND this trail does not have a parking lot and you will have to park on the street. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Awesome park to take your dog. Lots of area to cover and a pretty oasis away from the bustling sounds of cars and city life. It has very beautiful scenery with a stream that you can follow and different paths to take. It's an easy hike/walk that most people would be able to do. Some things to note: dogs must be on a leash, and street parking only.

We love exploring this trail. There's multiple trails to walk one and we always discover something new. The kids love the little creeks and recently we found an area with fish and what looked like a little lobster (don't know much about the marine life so don't know what it really was) But it's beautiful here.

I was super happy to discover this place! The trails aren't very well marked, however this is the sort of place where you can go and explore EVERYWHERE. We ended up hiking about 4 miles from the entrance to Sesnon. The train was mostly a slight incline so it's a good way to get your heart rate elevated without feeling completely exhausted. I loved seeing all of the big trees and friendly hikers passing by! Beautiful yellow flowers COVER the hillsides. Street parking was easy to find. No water fountains or bathrooms are available. Dogs are allowed but I actually didn't see too many the morning I went. While some parts of the trail feel like you are in a forest somewhere far away, the second half of the trail is pretty close to the street so you will heard traffic zooming by. Overall, I would come back again and maybe even bring a picnic to enjoy at one of the tables available!

At one time this was a park only known to locals. If you needed a break and wanted some piece of mind this was the place to find it. Now, not so much. Complete invasion just like everywhere else around here.

It is good to see the greenery around. More water flowing on the stream. It makes the hiking more encouraging and inviting. As usual it is busy. People are going up and down the trail.

Did it have to take such a pandemic for me to find all these little hidden gems throughout the valley. Many hiking trails that opened up my eyes not knowing they were all in surrounding area. It's like you start at one and wind up at another. As in this case, that's how it started. Beginning with one and continuing and connecting on to another. Limekiln, a moderate hike gives you the sense and feel of being in the wilderness even though your surrounded in a community from both side. The trails are wide enough for social distancing. There's also a picnic area with exercise bars towards the beginning near Ranaldi. A creek still runs through the trail path with a good amount of flowing water. Continuing up toward the hill, you'll come upon a bridge that the trail goes under. There's little spots throughout that you could take a breather and enjoy the nature that's offer. I did notice that a lot of people would start from The trail and finished walking back down Tampa. Many beautiful trails throughout the city and this one is one of them. Easy moderate hike with beautiful spots throughout.

    It's so peaceful here! ‍

Ask the Community - Limekiln Canyon Trail

    Can you bbq there?

    I don't think so.

    Are there any restrooms nearby?

    None...

Hi, do dogs need to be on leash in the stream? 3 black labs who love water!

Yes that would be nice. Not all hikers are dog friendly. Some are scared of dogs.

Can we use a stroller on this hike?

yes there were a lot of people using their stroller there

Does anyone knows the quality of the water there? I'm wondering if it's safe to let my son walk in the water from the stream or even touch it. Tks

I wouldn't drink it, but it's a running stream so the water isn't stagnant. My dogs walked thru it and neither of them got sick. I also dipped their cooling jackets in the stream, so I touched the water and it didn't affect me negatively at all.

The fruit has not been properly tended to in decades, so it's not really yummy grapefruit, but on occasion you'll see some people plucking and tasting to quell their curiosity.
