We had an incredible experience with Khadija, Medha, and the team at Limelight Productions throughout our wedding planning process. We both work pretty demanding schedules and engaged Khadija for full coordination. They helped us with every detail from start to finish. Slight delta: - Khadija works on some very high-end weddings, and thus some of her initial suggestions for hair/make-up artists were way out of my budget. Limelight Productions is God sent! As my husband, Shawn, and I were preparing for our wedding, we were looking for a quality, yet affordable cake decorator to make our wedding cake. Initially, I thought, "hmmm, her cakes are okay." until I saw what would soon be our wedding cake. I fell deeply in love! - SN: I know Khadija as a volunteer tutor/mentor for one of my students. Hiring James and Khadija for day-of coordination was absolutely one of the best wedding choices we made. They went above and beyond the whole month prior to our wedding. The last month was hard, not only with the sudden passing of my grandmother, but we had multiple problems in the last two weeks before our big day. I would have been in total meltdown mode without James taking charge. He fixed several communication problems we had between vendors, including one that led us to have to change all our table rentals and seating arrangements at the last minute. I found myself emailing James multiple times a day, but he always found a fast solution for every issue. In addition to all the planning, they made the day of run seamlessly. We went to a wedding in October of 2018 where Khadija was the coordinator and with our friend's recommendation we decided to reach out to her for our own (May 2019)! We weren't originally looking into a coordinator but things started getting stressful because of unexpected (and unusual) factors. TLDR: We absolutely recommend Limelight Productions for Bay Area wedding/event planning. Determine your availability and budget before choosing a package. We hired Limelight Productions to help plan our July 2019 wedding + Garba (sangeet). Khadija was absolutely amazing: very organized, professional, and most of all really fun to work with. I would genuinely look forward to our conference calls. She was also experienced in all types of weddings/events which was important to us because we were a multi-cultural couple and were doing things a bit differently (groom is Indian/Hindu, bride is American/Christian). I was most impressed with Khadija's coordination day-of, and month-of the wedding. She completely handled following up with all vendors, setting up last minute decor, and even helped print some signs. Also at the wedding she was 100% on point the entire night and everything was perfectly on schedule! Limelight Productions offered a number of packages - full wedding planning (+~4 months out ?) or short-term planning (-~4 months out?). We chose the longer term package because we were living cross-country from Bay Area and were worried about ability to find vendors on our own. Ultimately I think we personally should have utilized Limelight for the shorter contract because I was able to be more hands-on than originally anticipated, but had I been hands off I am very confident Khadija and team would have gladly swooped in to support more. It would be important to firmly express your budget limits if this were the case though, as Bay Area wedding costs do add up very quickly. read more

This review is a long overdue! We made the apparently common mistake of thinking we would manage our own wedding on the day of. We'd been planning for about two years and knew the details in and out. Then, with about two weeks to go all of the details and decisions and dealing with vendors began to come at us all at once: Ahhhh!!! OMG what were we thinking?!? My wonderful partner began poring through recesses of the internet looking for a wedding coordinator or planner or anyone who could manage our day so we could concentrate on getting married.
