It was really unfair for the people that sat 90 min ahead to get a good seat for thier view to only be blocked completely by last minute attendees that stood in front of the fence blocking everything. The sherrifs were trying to get those standing to sit but noone complied. People were getting mad and started to yell at eachother. They need to find a way to control that or get additional grandstand installed.

It was inexpensive to walk, but wasn't an easy course to walk because of going up and down hills and some of the holes there are steep. I would definitely play there again, but ride next time. Knowing there had also been rumors early on in 2016 about the Muckdogs being sold/moved, I figured this year would be an opportune time to get to a Muckdogs game. There's no page available for Dwyer Stadium itself, so this review encompasses the overall experience. In terms of getting to the stadium and everything, I used my GPS (since I don't really know my way around Batavia) and found the stadium easily. Parking is free and readily accessible on stadium grounds. The staff is friendly and organized, and my Will Call tickets were readily available for pick-up. The stadium itself is typical for a short-season A team, and I think I showed up for the last game of the season (Labor Day). The fact that it was the last game of the season did mean that the concession area was out of the more popular food options (including sausage sandwiches, etc), so one had to stick to the basics... but plenty of people (comparatively speaking) showed up to enjoy the game. With ticket and concession prices being so inexpensive, it's not a bad way to spend a day. When it comes to the overall experience during the game, I suppose the stadium is missing any added "oompf." The mascot, for example, was out maybe... once during the game? Walking in front of the crowd/in the stadium; however, there was no participation by the mascot, including in the between-inning games with kids from the crowd (something that's fairly normal). The games too were pretty simple, and even the staff members assisting seemed to lack some enthusiasm. The game played was enjoyable though, and it's great to see such young players and their passion for the game. In a stadium like this, I suppose it's more about getting up close to the players... and while I didn't try and get anyone's autograph this time around, it would seem the stadium layout makes it fairly simple to get to players at some point. TL;DR Very local feel. Am glad I went in 2016 so that I could check it off the "to visit" list, but it feels lacking in comparison to other stadiums I've visited, including those for other short season/single A clubs.

Both were good experiences. The announcers are knowledgeable about the racers, and enjoyable to listen to. The track is in good condition, they always have a safety crew and clean up crew. I've been to other races with no tow trucks, and a crappy track. Always a good time here!

This past August, I got a chance to watch the Mets take on the home-team Red Wings as part of a corporate event. The schedule gods were friendly so I could root for my hometown team as a visitor to this pretty ballpark. Innovative Field is nestled in downtown Rochester and has a cool backdrop of some of the city's buildings. I really liked that the park is part of their downtown's identity as Syracuse's is not. Parking was nearby and fairly easy to find. Their gift shop is expansive and had lots of fun items to take home including their alternate jerseys (the garbage plates) and some of the diversity night jerseys and hats. I browsed but didn't buy. Food is pretty standard fare though they have a cool pub style area to get a beer and it has tv's to watch the action while you're enjoying a drink. For some reason, the hot dog buns are like a italian sub roll and engulf the dog - too heavy for a bun and too bready. Not sure what local place they are supporting, but this was my only complaint about their food. As with any park, your mileage may vary with the sunshine/sunset depending on which side you sit on. We sat in an outfield area near the scoreboards and it was pretty brutal :) Overall, a great place to watch a ballgame. I've been to better, but this one is a gem for Rochester-area baseball fans.

Or find a spot nearby, along one of the many side roads around the airport. I've done both of the years. With so much to see it's so cool. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds are a favorite of all. Between their aerobic formations or solo fly bus it's memorizing. There's so many other great aircraft's, like the bombers and the SU26... schedule is on line.
