My kids are 6, 4, and 2 and each of them had a genuinely wonderful time. My husband and I did as well. We brought our lunch both days and ate in the cafeteria. We brought our stroller in with us all around which was helpful for toting around all the stuff you need for 5 people. I really can't complain about a thing. There were employees all over the place cleaning up constantly and taking care of the exhibits while also not interfering with the kids and their play at all. On friday and Saturday they have extended hours into the evening which is what lead us to come when we did. We were happy to have extra time each of those days and stayed well beyond 4pm which is the closing time the rest of the days. If you are considering giving this place a go, check it out for sure!!!

This place reminded me of the Exploratorium in San Francisco, , except instead of interactive exhibits highlighting scientific principles, these interactive exhibits were all about play! Play for both the kids, and the grown-ups. They had a ropes course for the younger kids, and another one for older kids and the grown-ups. For the kids, they had a scale model of a local grocery chain, where the kids could either "work", or "shop", right down to the working checkout lanes. They had a Sesame Street exhibit...., A butterfly habitat, and and All kinds of different indoor and outdoor play areas. I can still hula hoop! (for a whole five seconds...). They also had all of the exhibits on toys, games, and video games. This is the home of the national toy, Hall of Fame, and the national video game Hall of Fame. it was so cool seeing toys from my childhood, and a wide range of video games and pinball machine machines that are playable. The price to get in is very reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount, and memberships to the museum, which offer free museum admission. There is a parking garage attached to the museum, with a small charge for parking, and there is a also a small charge for the ropes course, the butterfly habitat, or to play the video games/pinball machines. (4 tokens for a dollar, and every machine only takes one token...) This is an absolutely fun museum for kids of all ages. Thanks!!!

I stumbled across it during one of their 2 (I think) annual open houses (which I believe are on a First Friday with extra hours). The military museum is awesome, the guys who run it are awesome, and they have awesome stories. Every time I go in there I talk with them for a while and hear more and more stories of where all the materials in there came from. The different galleries and spaces are excellent too. So many talented people and a great place to go get gifts for any reason. Its not just art, there are so many different things that are made in there from clothes to crafts to...well...you name it. Definitely one of the places that more people in the city should check out.

It was great finding a local, well ( Rochester) way, new venue, I'm from a suburb of Buffalo. After searching other theaters in the local Rochester area, this fit my availability . There are various productions held throughout their season, starting in a few months. The theater held a summer program for kids. The kids were then in one of the plays held for the public. I choose to see Legally Blonde 2, at Nazreth College. Even though, ran late as it was my first time at Nazreth College, for a performance, staff and patrons were kind in getting us late comers sitted. Talented young kids, look forward to checking out one of there regular productions in the future.

However, there were some frustrations. When purchasing tickets, it wasn't made clear that this was a high school student production, which led to different expectations. The biggest issue, though, was the venue itself. The café space was much more cramped than advertised, and the seating chart didn't accurately reflect how tight the setup would be. There were just two of us, and it already felt uncomfortable. If the table had been full, it would have been extremely tight--likely to the point where we would have left. I appreciate the effort from the cast, but clearer, more honest communication about both the type of production and the seating arrangement would make a big difference.

I was in a wedding there this past weekend and everything went so smoothly. The getting ready areas were very fun (the men got ready in the Firehouse toom and the girls got ready in the Marilyn Monroe room). The only issues we had were that the lighting was too dim for getting ready - we remembered to bring a separate makeup mirror with bright lighting options which saved us. The outlets were also difficult to find. It was a very cool and unique space to get ready in and the men were set up with a pool table in theirs. The wedding photos are not in yet but I just know that they are going to look phenomenal. We took photos in many different places around the venue (its huge) and I can't wait to see how they came out. Definitely more unique than youd typically expect for wedding photos! The bride had a positive experience with staff in getting everything ready and organized leading up the big day. Everything went as planned and it looked beautiful. Some exhibit pieces were in the way during the ceremony and they made arrangements to move them to make more space. The only issue we ran into was the heat. The AC was on but I dont think it was directed into the getting ready spaces, and when there were large groups of people around in the main room it was still too warm. Not a deal breaker but something to consider if being too warm on your wedding day is a concern for you.

Thanks to Yelp Rochester for the 2019 Maker Faire tickets! I have seen advertisements for this…read moreevent in the past and always thought it looked interesting, so I was really excited to check it out this year. I didn't realize that Maker Faires are a worldwide event. The Rochester Faire featured a ton of local businesses, interest groups, colleges, and more. The Riverside Convention Center was the perfect place, as you could walk through the various rooms and hallways to take in all of the booths without it being too crowded. I mean, it was definitely full of people, but the large space made it more manageable to move around. There was food for sale and many of the vendors were also selling some of their works. I had a great time taking everything in! There were so many different creative things to see, from a puppeteer to robotics groups. My favorite was Save Zigby, which was an escape game created by a 4th grader. It was neat to see so many kids running around and engaging in STEM activities. This was a really fun event and great for families and solo visitors like me. I will definitely return next year!

It was our first time here and there was LOTS to see and do for all ages. Two floors of different stations displaying electronics, robotics, inventions, and all creative and techy things. There were defined areas on the map provided to us that were for kids. Our 3 y/o was glued to the main entrance area at the hands-on tables. We stayed longer than anticipated because there were so many things to check out and thankful of the food trucks parked outside the convention center for a quick lunch. Later on we found a small food area in the back of the first floor, but didn't know until we made our way back there. I suggest leaving the big stroller at home and using a carrier for little ones. Try to get there early for this family friendly event so your kids get a chance at the hands-on stations. I anticipate this event will only get bigger each year!

Plenty of room to walk around with ample seating in the front and near where you pay. They have stools spread out if you prefer to sit while playing. The regular who I play in the monthly strikes tournament here are down-to-earth, sharing the same passion I have for the game. The rooms were laid out well. The system of getting clues is fairly straightforward. The clues and rooms were fun. It felt a bit rehearsed telling you the rules, which are important. I think it would be nice to have more of an engaging experience with the staff. I will continue to support them and bring more people through. Hoping I don't feel like a number next time but like I'm actually in an experience. Other experiences I have done in California the staff is very animated and engaging. I'll start with some of the things I was less impressed with: 1) I understand the irony of my writing this review and saying this - but their reviews, ESPECIALLY Google reviews, should not be trusted. I was honestly appalled by the explicit solicitation of reviews. There were signs to "review us on Google" on EVERY pole in the building, and the poor employee had to give a speech (that was clearly mandatory) about "my manager really appreciates if you leave 5 star Google reviews blah blah blah" at the end of our experience. It was so uncomfortable and off putting. 2) The decor and entrance, as other reviewers have mentioned, leave a lot to be desired. The escape room itself was a-okay, but the waiting area and "party room" both felt very sparse and dungeony. If you're planning to book any kind of party here, I would go see the space prior to committing. The "party area" is back by the bathrooms and not private. The rest really was fun and wonderful! We had fun picking our team name, the employees were great and helpful and kind, and the room was the perfect blend of difficult and engaging. Overall, I would say go and enjoy. I don't know how it compares to competitors since this was my first escape room in years, but this is a solid option for dates and groups alike.
