There was an issue at the hotel during our last night stay at Planet Hollywood and De'Asia made sure she expressed this to the hotel to assist me in anyway to accommodate for the issue. The TSA agents, the snack lady, the folks that handle the bags, they attempted to be helpful, but as this is a small airport ..they were sorely understaffed early and at the last flight. If you are waiting on a maintenance issue that isn't immediately resolved on the very last flight of the night...and you don't want to stay in the lobby downstairs, get an Uber out of their early. There are no hotels within walking distance. There are no 24-hour eateries. Yours just stuck like chuck. Alex N. from the AA team gets shout outs for being helpful. Just like the gentleman in the morning after 5pm, he was a lone ranger behind the AA desk and baggage. Even when the flight was finally cancelled (and the crew went to a hotel), Alex was helping the stranded get their bags. Unfortunately, in this situation you have to get your bags unchecked and then recheck them in the morning. This experience was a bummer.

There's even a vending machine for snack attacks! This place is a little hidden gem right if I35 southbound, right by the Belton Expo Center / Cadence Bank Center. 2 gas stations are within reasonable walking distance for last minute needs if you don't feel like driving.

We called on a Sunday and they have after hours telephone answering but we needed to wait until…read moreMonday during 1PM-4PM office hours to make a reservation. They have an on-line booking but we couldn't see a place to request a pull-thru or to get any offered discounts. We made the reservation on-line after several dropped connections; unsure if it's my cell service in Lufkin or their line. We booked a back-in site since no pull-thru sites are available for our stay. The confirmation came by e-mail quickly. I searched the Garmin GPS for the address and it took awhile to find it. Try address number 10502 and street name FM 2410 in Belton TX if you also have trouble. It would have been nice if alternate directions due to construction on the Interstate were in the e-mail but we skipped a few exits and came back on the other side. Our first visual impression is positive. We checked in and one guy gave me backing up directions that got me right into the spot. This was very helpful for me since we've only been RVing for 5 weeks and prior to that I'd never towed anything. The roads are asphalt, the pads stone and the picnic table pads concrete. The picnic tables are nice. The water pipe is insulated. Wi-Fi is slow at times. There's no local road traffic noise and an occasional distant train. They have a playground, dog park, sheltered (roof and three sides) picnic area with five tables, kids pool, hot tub, some outdoor exercise equipment and Amazon Lockers. It appears they are expanding.

I had just texted my dad for the code and the owner pulled up next to us and yelled "If you don't know the code, Then you don't enter!". Then we proceeded to explain what was wrong and just backed up and corrected ourselves because another car was coming out and he jumped out and walked over to yell "Yall are not coming in!". In short, nice lady at the desk but HORRIBLE Owner! Watch out for him.

Several days prior to our visit and only a two days after making our reservation, we learned our Granddaughter, who is a Marine, would be flying into DFW for a short 2 day visit. When I told the staff we needed to cancel our last day with them and for what reason, I was told there would be no refund and a $25 fee added or we could bank the day and stay with them another day in the future. I explained we normally would not stay in the area and our Granddaughter's visit was a surprise. This did not make any difference. Of course we left a day early, but thought most other places we have camped in the past 40 plus years, would have understood.
