If I could give a negative star review, I would in a heartbeat. I want to start by saying I have never taken any of my own pets here before but my husband and his family have for as long as they can remember. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. My father-in-law told me he's taken his pets here for a long time because they DO NOT require vaccinations. Should've been a red flag, in my opinion. Well, this is the second time since I've lived in the same household as him that he's taken his cats in for grooming & they return home with fleas. The last time, which was back in May, my husband took his cat (Ollie) in for a groom. He mentioned to me when he dropped him off that the staff was rude & basically treated him as if he was an inconvenience because they were so short staffed. Poor Ollie returned home so badly infested with fleas that he was literally ripping chunks of his own fur out. Within a week, he was clearly distraught & went from a shy cat who was typically afraid to even go upstairs to one who was sleeping on the STOVE & in the SINK. He stayed in the basement so it took a while for me to notice how bad the situation was but when I did, he had quickly spread them throughout the entire house. It started to all make sense to me when he was staying upstairs because he was clearly trying to escape the fleas. All of our animals (who have been proactively treated btw) are now suffering because of this. My personal dog, who has actively been treated his entire life is at risk because he has an autoimmune disease that directly affects his blood. It's to the point where we had to hire an exterminator to treat the house. It's now 5 months later & we're still treating our poor animals for fleas & the cat who went to them has passed due to the severity of the infestation. (I'm talking we went from a flea free home to a situation where fleas were pouring out of this poor cats nose & eyes within a couple weeks of being groomed here. All of the animals have always returned with fleas after being in their care & not once did they even mention a thing about fleas. I have never experienced this before as I have never & will never take my babies here & always give my animals the best care I can provide for them. I'm posting this as a warning to others to avoid the terrible experience my family has had with these people. Again, according to my father-in-law, they don't require vaccines which is a HUGE no-no in this industry. DO BETTER before you hurt another animal. You've cost my family & I a lot of money and a LIFE because of your negligence. I have also attached screenshots from when my husband dropped his cat off & the treatment he received from the staff. How could anyone trust to leave their pets with someone like this is beyond my understanding. I am beyond livid over this experience but above anything else, I truly hope this place improves & takes this to heart so none of their other patients ever have to go through what I've witnessed from this place. read more

I took my yorkie for grooming. i was shown picture of a puppy cut that I liked. But when I got my baby back it was totally different that the picture that was ahown to me. My baby looks horrible!!! He was practically bald and his head hair was not evenly cut. Never again will i take him there and I do not recommend Lin Lar to no one! read more

I really don't enjoy doing bad reviews but I feel like I need to when it comes to this. I have taken our puppy in twice to get her nails trimmed and I'm kind of disappointed with how we've been treated especially the latest event. The first they clipped her nails, the lady was fairly nice and got it done in 2 minutes. Good overall, in and out. My understanding was it was supposed to be 14$ and they charge 16.. not a huge deal but oh well. The second time was what made me realize that I won't come back. I came in with my pup adhering to covid-19 precautions while wearing a mask and through my mask even the smell of dog feces was everywhere. An older lady came out from the back with no mask on and asked me what I'd like. I told her she needed her nails clipped and I handed her the pup. 5 minutes went by and I heard her grumbling in the back, she came out agitated, and stated it would be $18 with a very irritated look on her face. I told her that was more than I got charged last time and she said "due to how big your dog is and how difficult she was this is the standard price".. the dog hasn't changed weight at all since your last visit and we had no complaints of her getting the done the first go round. I guess where my issue is is not only are they not following covid protocol but they could at least be nice, welcoming, have the place smelling better, and not change prices because they had a more difficult time doing what they were hired to do. I try and support smaller businesses but in this case I'll be taking my services elsewhere read more

My dog went there Tuesday, and he contracted ear mites, which are only passed from other animals. We have no other pets or animals around our home. His itching and symptoms started the morning right after. Also, scooter has little scars on his nipples from where he was clipped with clippers. I'm not saying this place is totally bad but I'd definitely just be aware. :( read more

I dont like all the negative reviews I'm seeing because here I am 3 years later leaving another positive review because I've always had great service from linlair and will continue taking my dogs here. And my dog Chubbs wont let me do nothing to him but bath an that's a job just doing that with him so they handle him very well, So Thanks alot groomers at Linlair because I know my dog Chubbs is a challenge an you have not once complained! I have a 1 yr old golden retriever and brought him to the groomer for the first time. We asked for a breed cut, to avoid his ears because he has medicine in them and checked that clipping his claws was part of his grooming (they said yes). I had been getting lazy and falling behind on clipping them. He came home, they avoided washing around his ears, okay great! But they didn't clip his claws, his cut is choppy and not a breed cut or even, (on side butt tuff much longer than the other ping other examples) and they didn't brush him after his cut so he dropped a ton a fur everywhere when he got in the car/home. We took our long hair cat, Daisy, in for a spring shearing (her first one ever) a couple of weeks ago. We were amazed at how great the grooming job turned out. She looks like a little lioness! She was calm and loving when we picked her up. No trauma whatsoever. She even seems much more playful now. We had wonderful service from the gals there. We would recommend Lin Lar to cat lovers especially! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I went here because I was in a time crunch and this is closer than my normal groomer. I went to have my dogs nails trimmed. First, she never greeted my dogs. Every other place I've been has always greeted my pets and tried to make them feel comfortable. She put her "leash" around their necks (one that tightens if they pull) and literally drug them to the back (my pets were already on leashes). They were scared and not willingly walking so she just went ahead and drug them across the floor while they tried to sit. Again, every other place has picked them up and/or tried to comfort them. Keep in mind my dogs are small, 8 lbs and 12 lbs. I have shelter animals. They are terrified of any place that reminds them of that (i.e. the vet, the groomer, pet stores with animals). Both of my dogs came back shaking after being taken to the back to have their nails clipped. I also do not like that I was unable to see what she was doing to my animals. Again, every other place has had a wide open facility so you can see how your pet is being treated. Lastly, she told me it was $30 after the service. Her prices are not listed, and I should have asked in advance, but imagine my surprise at being charged more than anywhere else I have ever been for terrible service. I gave her $40 cash and she handed me back $5 and said "Thanks, come back!". She had the nerve to go ahead and tip herself $5. Are you kidding me?! I did not even bother asking for my other $5, I just wanted out of there. If you care about your pets at all, please do not go to this facility. read more
