Fur Star Pet Care is a family oriented service and I felt comfortable leaving our pets in their care for 10 days. I had never boarded my dog Bella, she always stayed with either my uncle or parents when I traveled. We got our puppy Dylan this summer and of course had never boarded him before. We also have 3 outdoor cats and had never left them alone longer than a few days. When my boyfriend and I made plans to take a 10 day trip out of the country, we needed a safe place for our pets. Jeanette and her husband Craig came to our house to meet with us and get to know our pets a week before we left. I felt very comfortable immediately, and when we brought the dogs to their home it was an easy transition for them and us. Jeanette posts on Facebook everyday with pictures and stories about the animals in her care. Our cats remained at home and Craig went to the house to give them fresh food and water a few times during those 10 days. I would recommend Fur Star Pet Care for anyone with pets and will definitely use their services again in the future! I used Fur Star Pet Care for the first time last week when I went on vacation. I was nervous because my cat had never been left alone for an extended amount of time - I was gone almost 9 days. Jeanette provided excellent care for my cat, who tends to be particular about what kind of food she eats. Jeanette was patient and even experimented with combining two flavors of food together. Every day I got a detailed message about how she was doing, including multiple photos (I don't know how she takes such great photos, but what a talent!), how the "bathroom" was going (absolutely no issues there), and what progress had been made with my cat's level of comfort with her. By the end of the week, my cat was purring, playing a little, and eating fine, both regular food and treats. Jeanette also brought in my mail for me which I really appreciated and turned my living room lights on and off since I had lost my light timer. Also, the rates are very reasonable for the service provided. I can't say enough good things about Jeanette and Fur Star. What great service and I will most certainly use them again! read more

My husband and I like to travel several times a year, but I always got stressed out figuring out who would check in on our two cats. We'd never had someone care for them other than a friend or family member, so I'll be honest, I was nervous about having a stranger come to our home and trusting them with our fur babies! When we met Jeanette, my worries were put at ease. She's very friendly, and I could just tell she's an animal lover. She asked all the right questions, and answered any that we had. The daily pictures/videos with little "how they're doing" texts made me so happy! When we got home, kitties were happy and fed. I think one of the cats got pretty spoiled to getting her special catnip spray everyday. I highly recommend Fur Star Pet care for your pet!! I have one cat - he is social, old and can easily get lonely while I am away. Jeanette is incredibly kind and intuitive with him. She spends 30 minutes with him per visit (and you can see this on the portal, where she also writes a full report of her visit and posts many pics). She gives him all the attention he wants - and gives him his space when he's being cranky. Not only does she follow the feeding and watering instructions perfectly, she grabs your mail and changes up which lights are on in your home. I worry about my little guy's well being while I am away, and really appreciate the wonderful care Jeanette provides. And the full report you receive immediately after she leaves is fantastic. Jeanette has been walking my pups in the evenings for me for two weeks now, and I am hiring her for a third! I work second shift, and recently adopted a new puppy, so I needed someone to come in while I was gone to get him outside while potty training. My older dog, a rescue pit, is extremely shy, but Jeanette has gained her trust with time and treats, and now she walks my two pups together! I could not be more thankful to have found someone who treats my dogs as well as her own, Jeanette really cares about my furbabies, she even brings them special treats! My husband dog and I moved to the Columbus area in 2001. I am a bit of a crazy dog lady, so I was very concerned about finding a trustworthy and reliable dog sitter. I have been very happy with Jeanette and her team! My dog can be a bit of a handful, and she does have a history with other dogs. I am able to enjoy my vacations, knowing that she is in safe and capable hands. I like that communication and scheduling is done through an app. After each visit, I receive a lengthy and detailed message, letting me know how my dog is doing. They also include a ton of pictures! I highly recommend Jeanette and Fur Star Pet Care! She has taken great care of our 9 year old Boston and our 15 year old pup multiple times, both in our home and in hers. She is great at what she does -- and even took my older dog for an emergency vet visit while we were away, no questions asked. Such a great experience!!! Fur Star took excellent care of our 2 dogs for a week while we were on vacation. Jeanette took the time to meet us and get to know our pets before boarding. We boarded our Airedale for 9 days and received daily updates with pictures. Irish is 2 1/2 and this is the first time he has ever been boarded so we were worried about how he would do. The daily updates were very helpful for us and he seemed to adjust well after the first few days of anxiousness. The surroundings are great and the fenced in yard is a place for the dogs to unwind and play. Finding Fur Star to care for our cats has changed our lives - I know that sounds hyperbolic but it's true. The values that these ladies have when it comes to pet care is remarkable. Jeannette and Fur Star took amazing care of our 1 year old and 10 year old golden retrievers. Jeanette loves dogs and they loved her immediately, too. She came over for a meet & greet. Then she watched & walked our girls for a few days while we were out of town. We received a well-written email with several pics right after she'd walked the pups. The letter, pics, and Jeanette's personality were all so calming and reassuring. We are neurotic pup parents and now we know that we can leave Eddie & Pippi in Jeanette's capable hands. My dalmatian, Bridgette, can be hard to warm up to and, as a result, can be very untrusting of new people. However, I recently moved to the Columbus area and needed someone to take care of her while I was away on the weekends. Jeanette was awesome with Bridgette- they became fast friends. And I loved that I could leave Bridgette in the comfort of our home while I was gone and that Jeanette made house calls.
