Lina hardly needs another positive review, but here goes. My father passed away in August and I was trying to plan his memorial service and figured "Hey, he liked guitar music! Let's get a guitarist!" I Yelped, Lina was the first listing, the reviews looked good, we had a couple e-mails back and forth, I booked her, and I moved on to other stuff. I really didn't give it much more thought. I just had too much other stuff to take care of. Just before the service we touched base again and agreed on what she was going to do. The morning of the service she showed up early, got set up, met with the officiant, then played and sang through the service. People think this is funny, but I had never heard her sing before the service started. We were all just trying to get through the thing. So I had no particular expectations. But when she started singing I was totally blown away. She has the most beautiful voice, and more than that, she really took her time with the music, she's very expressive, and it was just overall amazing. I had thought of music as sort of an interlude, just something required, and she made it so much more than that. The officiant said the usual words and I'm sure many were encouraged by that, but for me it was really Lina's singing that made the service beautiful. And as I'm meeting with people after the service they aren't asking me "How are you holding up?", everyone is asking "Where did you find that guitarist with the beautiful voice?" and I say "Yelp" and people just look at me like I'm crazy. So all I can say is that Lina is easy to work with, she has the most beautiful voice, plays the guitar wonderfully as well, is priced very reasonably, and although this isn't perhaps relevant, she seems like a really nice, genuine person as well. I was completely satisfied, would recommend her strongly for any event (she has a pretty eclectic repertoire), and she just was a really good quality person. Lina is an amazing vocalist and very accommodating. Our wedding was bilingual (Spanish/English) and Lina made sure our music was also bilingual. She was very easy to work with and to communicate with. She was very quick with her responses and was very willing to work with your style, so that your wedding was a reflection of who you were. Although our wedding was a church wedding, our music was not the same as a typical church wedding would be because we wanted something different. Lina sent us a few options for each part of the mass that required a song and if we did not like one of the options or had a different song we wanted, Lina was willing to hear our suggestions and then tell us if it would flow with the other songs or not.
