Elaine, who is in charge, is so professional and pleasant to deal with. Leading up to the wedding, she gave us a call to confirm the music to make sure the ceremony would be perfect! Elaine was also very up front with us (since our wedding had around 300 guests), and recommended that we have them play just a half hour longer so there is no gap where there would be no music. Dreamlike music! Our wedding day was the disastrous testimony of Murphy's Law. An exaggeration? Perhaps. From the dishwasher exploding in the morning to my husband breaking three bottles of sparkling wine in the evening, the adage "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" epitomized our wedding day. A drought no more, our sunny Southern California betrayed our vision of an outdoor ceremony under a beautiful gazebo followed by a cocktail hour on the patio as children and adults alike played the lawn games. Instead, the rain poured. The clear blue sky seemed to conspire with the sun, and our plans completely derailed. One adaptation after another, Elaine Tubinis and the incredibly talented musicians of Naples Strings patiently rolled with the punches alongside our wedding party. Weather punches indeed! From the planning meeting to our wedding day, Naples Strings proved to be accommodating and accomplished. The music elevated the disaster that is our wedding to the elegant affair we wished for ourselves and our families and friends. A classical and contemporary mix, the collection of songs served as a beautiful backdrop during cocktail hour and a stirring highlight during the ceremony... even in the rain. I recently turned 60 and celebrated by inviting 60 friends to Terranea Spa Resort. Since it was a 2-night minimum stay, I opted to host a casual party on Friday night, and a more elegant long table sitdown dinner followed by dancing on Saturday night. Terranea highly recommended Naples Strings for Saturday night, and now I understand why they did. Elaine and team added a touch of class to the cocktail hour, and more of the same during dinner. A couple of highlights happened when my mom requested "You Are My Sunshine", and after a bit of practice, they were able to accommodate her singing along with other guests. Then their rendition of the "Game of Thrones" theme was an instant hit with my guests, as it was immediately recognizable by everyone and very impressive.
