The prepared salads are flavoursome. I really enjoyed the sautéed vegetables and the leftovers tasted great in a soup I made the next day. What we have got is a sugary substance with remote flavour of buckwheat. Likely a blend of some cheap honey with some buckwheat honey added. Called the store, the manager said it is not her problem, and suggested to call the manufacturer. She was rude. Never again will we walk into this store. There are better alternatives in YYC to shop for authentic east European foods. Avoid.

Everytime I ate there I would get the cabbage/mushroom perogies with a side order of seasoned potatoes. Yum! These are by far my favourite perogies. There were weeks I would eat them everyday and still not get sick of them. They also sell them frozen for you to take home and cook for yourself. Be warned: the potatoes sell out quickly after lunch so make sure you get there early if you want some. The market itself is a lot of fun to browse. They have all kinds of specialty candies, chocolates, and sodas from Eastern Europe as well as more practical goods like canned foods and toiletries. The only drawback is that they don't take credit cards so make sure you have cash or debit on you before you go. Cracovia is a hidden gem. (I happen to making nuts and bolts that require bugles) Since the American company that make Bugles stopped making them in Canada it's nearly impossible to find. Until today! I was in the import store stocking up on Christmas treats I happen to see Bugles made by Lays!! Very expensive for a little bad, but I don't care I need them for my Nuts & Bolts!! I bought two bags.
