He was not strong enough to get up our…read morestairs to bed, so we had to find a store in the Burlington area where we could rent a hospital bed. It turns out that there are very few places in Burlington that rent or sell medical equipment for the elderly. This is particularly true on the day before Christmas eve!! Fortunately, Upward Mobility came to the rescue, making it possible for my husband to be discharged from the hospital on Christmas Day. As luck would have it, I did not pick up the bed rail, so Matt, one of the owners of the business, made a special trip in on Christmas Eve to make sure I had that important part for the bed. This is a family run business and they care about their customers. They have high quality equipment and are reliable. They pick up the phone and you can talk to an human! As we learned from our experience, they are willing to go the extra mile to make things work out. A thousand thank you's to them for being there for us when we really needed them. I highly recommend them.

Multiple calls on our end painted a picture of the doctor for the clinic having retired and that it was taking time to hire and train up someone to take over reviewing test results. In the meantime, we were billed for the sleep test and a "review" that was not done, and the billing date of this service was 3 days after the doctor allegedly retired. My wife told them she would not pay for a service that had been billed but not performed (the test had been done, but the review didn't come until many months later and with prodding on our part). In October we called again, still wondering when the review we had been billed for would be performed. Four days after this last call, we finally got someone to contact us with the test results. The next step was for them to request a prescription from our PCP for the equipment, which they would then order. Fast forward to this March. We receive a call that we are going to be put in collections. I asked the status of the equipment order and they said they never heard from the PCP, so they...just did nothing. Five months and there was never a follow-up to either the PCP or to us. But they did have the courtesy to call us before putting us in collections. I told them I was concerned that with what our experience had been to that point, that I would be happy to pay the same time we received our equipment, but that I didn't feel they would be motivated to follow up with anything if I paid them before that point. I did end up paying them in full at that time, with the request that they expedite the ordering process. --- At the end of the day, the only time we received a call from the office that they initiated was to ask for payment. We had to call them multiple times to get test results we were charged for months before they provided them (and if we hadn't followed up, would we ever have gotten them?) They also never followed up about the prescription request with our PCP or call us to let us know what was going on. It was five months after they allegedly sent the prescription request that they contacted us...to demand payment. As this is a company that deals with healthcare, the lack of follow-through without prodding at multiple points is not something that is acceptable. I cannot recommend dealing with this company in any way. While the alternative would be dealing with the UVM medical system which has it's own issues with wait lists, from my personal experience was UVM much more professional and I didn't have to nag them to keep the ball rolling. It's my own fault for not following up and being more of an advocate for my spouse, and if you feel you must use them, I recommend calling them at least once a week to make sure you don't fall through the multiple cracks they have in their business practices. It's your health, and you should be more concerned with it than they are.

My doctors want me to have my machine check because I am not sleeping at night because of my shortness of breath. When I cannot breath at night and have my cpat on, I feel like i am suffocating. Yankee medical service for elderly is horrible. They made promise after promise about how they would assist her and nothing. I finally brought her scooter down after their sob story of not having help. They promised repair by 2 and a call at 5 pm to pick up. They knew I lived 1 hour from Burlington and was staying in town. Five o clock came and went, I had called multiple times without anyone picking up and they never called. So.. still no scooter, no communication, and quite frankly a total disregard for the safety and wellbeing of their clients. Go to Keene Medical. Never look back.

I have received service from Mobility Works-Essex VT twice in the last year. Once was to fix the…read moreside ramp in my van and the other was to evaluate and ultimately replace my rear axle. Both times the work was done in a timely manner and I was kept updated about the issues and progress. Richard the manager went above and beyond in researching issues related to the axle and ensuring that we were on the right path. He also recommended an alignment shop which had experience in assessing these particular issues. Mike and Andy the mechanics took the time to show me the issues and to explain the work they had done. They managed to minimize the time my car was unavailable, which is invaluable for me. They all worked well as a team.

The pharmacist who gave us our two (each) vaccinations was -very- smooth with the needle and placement on our upper shoulder. Virtually no bruising or soreness from this experience and it repeats our visit there a year ago. As for their candy and its freshness. Well......my wife bought a bag of Milky Way Bars the day before Halloween and fortunately, we discovered it was expired as of 11/2025, a day or so later! They need to rotate and watch stock better and check expiration dates more closely as this has occurred twice before there in the last few years with a product near its expiration that should not have been allowed to be displayed/sold. But,, all in all, This is a great store to have so close to us and given it has dairy, wine, and other food items in stock if you're in a hurry to run out to get something, plus an excellent Pharmacy and Staff for Rxs, it's a solid 4 stars over-all for value, service and location.

The Kinney Drugs coupon system needs to become better and go back to card. They give you a piece of…read morepaper with a discount, but you can only use it on certain things and each store is different- when they should all be the same process. I spend a ton of money at this store a month from prescriptions to household items. I should be valued for the money I spend there and be able to use the coupons I earn for anything I want in the store. I also feel like it depends on who's at the cash register and if they're willing to investigate why the coupon won't work or why it's not applying..
