Johnathan was incredible helping me. I needed to change the head frame so I had to go to another location nearer to where I'm working out of town. He called the closest location to me and got an appointment. They replaced it with a different type and it works great! I talked to a Jamie in customer care and she updated the frame in the system so that I can order the correct replacement parts. So far so good! read more

I chose to get my CPAP from Lincare. The problem is that there's no way to call them. If you call you go directly to their office. It can take 4 to 6 hours to reach someone to local Office to do something as simple as changing your settings, or picking up supplies. My experience with Lincare was just terrible. It's one of the shoddiest-run businesses I've ever encountered. If it weren't for the fact that most of their income stems from Medicare and other government subsidies, I'm sure they'd end up bankrupt because most people would never put up with their ineptitude nonsense. I ended up having to deal with these clowns as my doctor diagnosed me with sleep apnea, and I ended up here to get a CPAP machine. I got an appointment to pick up the machine at 3:00 o'clock PM. As it is located way out west of me, it was over an hour drive with Florida's on-season traffic, and once there difficult to locate because of building numbering. It's located on the backside of the main buildings. Then, when I arrive the lights were out and the door locked. Just great! So, I gave them a call. To my surprise someone answered, asked me what I wanted. I mean really? A 3:00 o'clock appointment and they want to know what I want? Crazy! Anyway, someone came and opened the door, letting me in. Then asked me what I wanted or who I was looking for. Though I didn't know who, I told her why, and she said she'd get someone. So, a very nice gentleman by the name of Javis shows up. I thought things were looking better, but no, not the case. The clerical women working there seemed to be having a really loud party and I ended up in a room with no door, hardly able to hear what Jarvis was telling me about my CPAP machine though he went into great and thorough detail, also fitting me with a face mask. Anyway, I thought Jarvis explained all I needed to know and left rather than hang around with all the loud uncomfortable yapping going on. Immediate service re machine that broke over last night. FANTASTIC SERVICE WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATE! Called local office in Pompano this morning[Sunday] and they are closed on the weekend. They have reps on call 24/7 we found out. Call answered immediately and they were comprehensive, very thorough and helpful. Reviewed problem with my oxygen generator. After a thorough remote review of the problem I was advised I would get a call from pompano office emergency service. 10 minutes Anthony of the Pompano ofc called me. He advised he was on his way. Asked if I was ok or needed emergency service, which I advised I do not need. Anthony was at my home in a very short time. What a pleasure dealing with Anthony. This man was a breath of perfection. Replaced my machine, thoroughly checking all equipment from Lincare and n]made me realize even more why we feel secure using Lincare services. The folks at the Pompano office whom we have dealt with in the past have always been helpful and thorough. Shikita, Nadine, Jonathin etc, etc have all always treated us with respect and this office is run like a well oiled machine. We have referred many and will continue to do so. I've been using Lincare for 3 years and they are simply the nicest, most helpful and caring people I've ever dealt with in the healthcare arena. I have a concierge primary physician who is also awesome but like almost all businesses, there are good, mediocre and not great employees. Bottom line: stay away from LinCare if you possibly can. Where do I begin? The problems with LinCare are legion. It's everything from corporate culture at the top that filters all the way down to individuals who "work" with patients at all levels. All of their systems are archaic - from phones, to ordering, to tracking, to billing, to insurance. It's incredible in this day and time they don't even have a lousy app to do anything for their customers. I've spoken over the years with people at all levels within the company and at local offices in a couple of states. Many are pleasant. All promise to work things out. All are incompetent. None of them really care in spite of what they tell you on the phone. Because of insurance requirements, I have been forced to use LinCare for the past 7 years for my PAP supplies. When I initially set my account up with them, it was simpler and the hiccups were few, but still, it never ran completely smoothly. The $hit show started when I moved to a different state, I was told (incorrectly) by LinCare that my insurance was no longer valid in the new state and THEY changed my insurer in their system without telling me! It took THREE YEARS to get that part straightened out. Other insurance problems followed. My insurance from 2019 through 2023 did not change at all. Only my address changed in 2021. I got supplies and bills in 2021 and 2022. The bills never matched my insurance EOBs, but the billed amounts were always less than the EOBs, so I didn't rock the boat. Yet suddenly in all of 2023, I only was able to get two supply shipments because of new, different billing/order screw ups. LinCare for some reason couldn't solve their billing/insurance issues and threatened me with collections. I threatened them back with a lawyer. They simply dropped the billed charges. It's sad that they did that instead of figuring out how to file the insurance correctly! What's the problem? The insurance was no different from what they had in 2022. Ok, it's now 2024 and I just started Medicare. And guess what? The last shipment of supplies I got on my pre-Medicare insurance was screwed up yet again! I got back on the phone and raised hell again. And you know what? They dropped the charges again without it going through all my insurance! So now the old insurance woes are out of the picture. I'm now on a Medicare advantage plan. I placed an order after making sure they had all my Medicare information. That was a few weeks ago. I just called today. Guess what? That order was never sent. I was assured it would be sent today. The woman I spoke with could see where the order was taken. She couldn't understand why it wasn't sent, but she said it was good that it wasn't because they had the WRONG ADDRESS down to send it to! Ok, see a pattern here? I'm going into Year 8 with nothing but increasing screw ups from LinCare. As a disclaimer, I was asked to join the class action suit that was filed against this company (Google "LinCare class action" and you should find information about the suit). If I was you and you have a choice, go somewhere, anywhere else. The problem with this company is incompetence, plain and simple. Ok this place is busy ! Yes they get lots of important calls and they get tons of requests that come late ( my Dr failed to send in Rx for two weeks ) but as soon as they received the Rx they were super fast to get approval ( hoop jumping starts now-- calling insurance company-getting the correct head gear)--lots to choose from. I researched on Consumer Reports to find out which c Pap machine was the best and without asking it was the one given to me by staff! It's the remed 11 with internet IPhone app! Woo hoo! I was very relieved they use the highest quality and detailed staff to explain everything. I moved to Florida in November of 2022 from NYS. I informed Lincare of my relocation and have been receiving supplies automatically here in Fort Lauderdale, until April. Then, suddenly, the shipment of my supplies was discontinued by Lincare and I was removed from their automatic supply service, WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION FROM LINCARE. (If I had not followed up, I would have no information.) I called Lincare and was told that my supplies orders were canceled, ostensibly because my unit had not successfully downloaded data to LINCARE, information that they provide to my insurance company when seeking approval for payment. I was further informed that I needed to take the c-pap to a nearby Lincare supply company in Fort Lauderdale so that the technicians there could retrieve the necessary data from the unit. I called the local Fort Lauderdale service center at 5440 NW 33rd Ave SUITES 105 & 106, Fort Lauderdale, FL tel. (954) 677-2514 and was told that they would not deal with me because my account was still listed with them as a New York account! I was told I needed to bring the unit to Newbugh, NY or ask Newburgh to transfer my account. They were of little assistance; apparently, they could not request a transfer. Over the next three days, I called the New York service center, but no one answered the phone. I tried calling the local service center here in Fort Lauderdale again over the next two days, but no one answered the phone there, either. I called LINCARE's 800 number and I was told I need to take the unit to my local service center to be read! It is a cycle of getting nowhere! When I call to follow up, I am told alternately one of two things: either my account has been "released," or that my account is frozen pending insurance pre-approval. In the case I am told my account is "released" I am able to place an order for supplies, but when I call to confirm the shipment, I am told that either the account is frozen and the order was canceled , or I can place a new order. But the order never ships, and I do not get supplies. Just awful. read more

I feel like I need a lawyer for them to actually care about their clients. They charge their own fees for supplies and when the insurance company calls them to correct the fees, they blow them off. They are charging for items I never received and asking triple the price of what my insurance approved. I've called the company 5 times. My insurance company called them twice. The same answer every time. We will work on it and send out a new bill. However it's always the same bill. Now they want to put me in collections. What they're doing is fraud. Lincare is an extremely difficult company to work with. I was a customer for nearly 2 years, getting my cpap supplies through them. In October 2022 I received several cpap supplies that were not compatible with my new cpap machine they issued me. I returned the supplies to them using the process they set forth only for them to lose the items. I tried to reconcile this issue with them for 8 months to no avail. I provided them the UPS tracking number multiple times but no one was ever responsive in tracking it down. They were unwilling to offer any sort of make good for the items that I returned but they lost. This happened again whereby they sent the wrong supplies and when I asked to return them they said it was outside the window to return. Thus I ended up having to pay for supplies that I couldn't use. To make matters worse when they setup my account they entered the wrong birthday for me. So each time I would call they would say they have no record of me. All in and all, I spent countless hours calling them, waiting on hold, speaking with customer service people only to not making any progress with them. I even drove to the local Ft Lauderdale office location in hopes they could help. They just gave me an 800 phone number to call. I had no choice but to terminate working with them as it just became way too big of headache. Managing your health shouldn't be this stressful!! read more

This company refuses to except any responsibility for their mistakes which almost cost my life!! After heart surgery i was sent home and told to call LINCARE for oxygen as soon as i walked in the door. I called at 5pm. exhausted and waiting for my oxygen to go to sleep. I waited six hours for my oxygen!!! I had to call lincare every hour to ask where my oxygen was. It was midnight when a very rude uncaring manager named karen called me back to tell me there is no order on her end for oxygen. I contacted health park hospital and i was notified that they had the faxed the referral for my oxygen to karen at linare at 4:45pm. Karen lied to me and didn't take responsibility for her wrong doing, on top of that she was rude and condescending. Please seek oxygen anywhere else if possible. What kind of people does this company hire for their patients. Worst customer service in the name of patient care. You call they put you on hold to then pick up after 10 -15 min and respond with an attitude. Extremely rude Staff. This is the worst medical supply company there is. Even doctors don't recommend them. Unfortunately, it was a doctor from out of state who ordered and made the arraignment for my mother to received her oxygen equipment. When it first delivered, no explanation on how to use it. Just drop and go. Fortunately, another member of the family has these similar equipment and able to show on how to use it. The equipment kept making beeping sounds. The bottle to fill up water is broken. The filter was not changed. Oxygen was not working out correctly. (Cracked) However, the reason for calling to seek assistant. Women who answers the calls are rude. Was advised that technician will call. Never got one. Now after numerous calls within a month. The woman said a technician had come twice! Without calling to let me know? Duh! So how should I know the technician is SCHEDULED to come???Customer service are rude! Why LinCare is in the health/medical service I don't know. I don't understand how the staff at this company are still getting a paycheck. There a healthcare provider I feel like I'm talking to the DMV when I call. Shakita is not at all professional I waited a month to hear that my grandmother's request was not right written by the doctor I've left several messages for her to contact me on regarding my grandmother's oxygen. Not one phone call back after calling several times.. My grandmother was complaining she had a hard time breathing after calling the answering service over the weekend to have them send somebody out. they actually gave me a hard time on sending someone out finally many hours later someone came out thank God. I want them calling 911 at 3 in the morning..I just can't get over this is a healthcare this is people's families. . There was only two people that whole company that showed compassion a gentleman named Gary and a young lady named Lisa that whole company these two people are the only ones that actually care about their patients that care about the welfare of their patients that go over and beyond to make sure families are put at ease.. I don't understand the way of the world today where compassion is out the window they want that paycheck but they don't want to show some human decency.. Now, to go and order supplies....is another story. 3 weeks my account on hold, waiting for doctors notes they said. I called my dr office, they never got request, but the dr office would send notes anyways to them. I called several times to get the "hold off" see what else is needed, but nobody returns calls at FLL office. rings and goes to voice mail and no call back. I regret giving them a star. I've had 3 addresses in the past year all within the same town. They continue to keep them all on file so deliveries get lost. Worse, the consistently send me deliveries with items for my Cpap supplies missing, yet the shipping tag says they are in the box. They subsequently charge my insurance company for the missing items. I call and get they say they'll ship it again but they never do. Been about three years of this and now I don't even bother. I once had someone at Lincare tell me quite emphatically it was shipped and received at my post office on such and such a date. I said I never got the supplies. She repeated the statement and hung the phone up on me. I will be pleading with my Pulmonologist next week to find a new supplier. Should be able to start a review without conferring a star, which implies some form of competency. And competency is the least of it. I read the other reviews and concur with the majority of them. I am currently on hold for 01:26:51 and counting. The last time I called regarding an issue with equipment or billing, I was disconnected. Encountered a helpful person in the Orlando office, but experienced pure rudeness in Miami, accompanied by sighs (and I imagine eye rolling) for taking up the woman's time. Apparently, Medicare can afford to put up with fraud more than spend any money for oversight. I was charged for 5 months for a gaseous portable that I never received. No one has ever come out to service the equipment, after a year and a half, and despite a request. I continue to being billed for equipment I don't have. God help those who are on oxygen 24-7, and the old, dirty machines we are afforded give out. Certainly, Lincare Inc. won't help. read more

My dad was set up with a CPap through Optigen which is owned by Lincare. This company is a disaster, the billing is a nightmare. My parents have Medicare primary and a true secondary insurance, they still asked for a credit card on file. My father of course put one on file, he never wants any problems with creditors. Each month he was charged a copay even though his insurance covered it 100%, I know this because I handle the bills. I saw the payments they received. Finally I called and said I just want to buy the CPap machine, fine $300 later we own the machine. The first few months after I had to call and tell them to stop billing Medicare and AARP because we purchased the CPap. All was fine until my portable concentrator quit working. Set up and usage of both portable and large concentrator was quick and easy. Large home one still great. Small portable was picked up 11 weeks ago for repair, stilll can't get it back --"will be returned when complete". You'd think if it takes that long, they would replace it with a new one. I have called many times, my doctors office called, I had Medicare call twice, still no portable. Think I will hunt for a company that is better to those that have their equipment. Been using cpap machine for years and my AHI was always high. i have been seeing a new Dr to find out why it was still high. he put me on a BiPap machine but that just made the situation worse my AHI was even higher. I have had 3 sleep study tests to find the answer. My Dr. told me to stop using the BiPap machine and gave me a loner Resmed ASV machine. The ASV machine worked perfectly, brought my AHI below 5. Dr. ordered a new Resmed ASV for me. Lincare put me on compliance because I stopped using the BiPap machine even thought my Dr told me to stop using it. And Lincare did get records from my Dr. I did get the new machine thru the local office. one of the compliance reps was very helpful. I don't want to mention her name. but I still 3 months later cannot order parts, Masks, Hoses, Nasal pillows, I am still under compliance. Very unreliable company when you have a problem.
