I hired Jason for a specific task, and while the work was completed quickly and professionally, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding his fees. He estimated the work would take about an hour or less but never mentioned that we went over this time or communicating via email or phone would incur additional charges. Receiving a surprise invoice with these fees was frustrating and could have been avoided with better upfront communication. To his credit, he did waive some of the charges after I raised my concerns, which I appreciated. However, I believe clear disclosure of rates and billing practices is essential, especially when working with first-time clients.
