For years we had pretty much nothing in our area as far as a place to shop except for Western Beef or Key Food. Finally Lincoln Market opened up some years ago. It is sort of "high end" and offers many options like produce (sometimes wilted lettuce, bad fruit) fresh seafood area, deli, Cheese area, fresh ground coffee, etc.. Unfortunately their prices are INSANE. And they raise them constantly and are often mislabeled on the shelves. I leave with one small bag of items and it costs me between $45-$80. They offer "crab salad" -- a small container for $6! Keep in mind this is NOT actually Crab -- but KRAB--Pollack fish and yet they price it as if it is REAL crab and do not call it by its real name. I swear there prices are even higher than Manhattan!! They know they are the only game in town for us locals and they price gouge shamelessly! I just bought a Divine chocolate bar priced at --$3.99 but they rung it up at $4.50. I complained as the prices on the shelf was $3.99. This is CONSTANT you really have to be vigilant or you will get ripped off. ugh! read more

It's been 4 years since my last review, and I'm happy to say this place is now the ONLY local grocer I go to. Yeah, I could save a few dollars going to Western Beef, but why walk the extra 3 blocks when the quality of goods and shopping experience at Lincoln Market is far superior in every aspect? As opposed to other local supermarkets, you're not bombarded with obnoxious music, bad lighting, or unaware fellow shoppers. The workers are also stellar and keep it moving -- although the line may look long, you never have to wait more than 8 minutes to check out, which is pretty incredible. read more

On average, per week I spend about $100 on groceries here. Today, I was as accused of shoplifting. I was followed several blocks, detained and upon arrival the manager (Omar), whom prompted the harassment -- admitted he didn't have footage nor witness me alsteal. I never been treated so poorly, with in a store in a neighborhood that I'm from. Sheer harassment for the sake of it. Unfortunately, this isn't the only incident of sub par treatment, I was catcalled by a cashier and taxed incorrectly. I've lodge a compliant to federal, state and local agencies regarding spoiled food, improper taxation and harassment. UPDATE: I've attached a email response from the CEO, who is refusing to provide direct footage of the bullying and prompted me to call the authorities. I really only come here when I want a Bougie lil treat that's on sale. Today I bought a pack of bubbie's passion fruit Mochi (excited to try). 2 New York strip steak's bone in at 8.99 a lb, and a box of back to nature thin mint cookies (my fave). I'm not in the tax bracket to do all my grocery shopping here, but they have crazy cheese & beer selections, & their fresh coffee beans are now my fav in Brooklyn for making espresso at home: the Italian, Espresso, & Sumatra roasts. This place has good selection and is well-organized, but their stock has often not been refrigerated properly or is out of date. Goods that are fine when purchased elsewhere - prepared grape leaves, kimchi- are mushy when bought from Lincoln Market because of improper refrigeration. Their mixed nuts are stale and the oil coating them has gone bad. Their prepared foods are not good for similar reasons- their tuna salad has whitefish in it, presumably a cost-cutting move. There's a pattern with all these issues, and it's the reason I'm not going to be shopping there anymore. Food is too expensive to be throwing some of it away because the merchant is not doing their job properly or is cutting corners. read more

I have been coming to this market more and more as my needs for niche items have expanded. This is the closest location in Flatbush for relatively specific products with a good variety without being a co-op. It being close to the Prospect Park train exit on Lincoln Rd and some bus stops on Lincoln Road and Flatbush make it somewhat accessible if you are not close by. I can also imagine that it being close to the aforementioned Prospect Park also means you can have items for a somewhat fancy picnic on better weather days. You can find a large selection of kombucha and related drinks. It has a good inventory of Bob's Red Mill products, a deli selection, sushi selection and more. They also have a circular so you know what is on sale plus delivery through the apps (UberEats, other apps). So you can find what products are available before buying. They have normal shopping carts, the baskets and a something like a mini wagon which is the one I use. This doesn't of course beat bigger fancy chains of grocery and supermarket goods such as Whole Foods, Wegmans or even Trader Joe's. But I do think Lincoln has a good mix of the major brand names you would find at general super markets but also the local & peculiar items you would love to find. Since its opening, I felt drawn to this supermarket. It's good 15mn walk from my place but I'd rather that than commuting to Trader Joe's. Very well situated right next to the Q Parkside station. You can literally shop for a picnic basket and head to the park. On that topic, they do have a lunch area with ready to go food (salad, soups, sandwiches). Their spacious layout has been helpful lately. It could be my luck but I have never had to really wait in line. I do visit mostly late in the day but I've also passed a few times in the morning and afternoon. I find it easy to social distance, find what you need and get out quickly. Overall, I like the quality and freshness of m their products.The fruits and veggie aisle is well stocked and flows very well. Nothing is hidden. I love that they have a good variety in the alcohol aisle, not just beer but hipster hard cider, sparkling drinks. Great dairy selection. I was really pleased by the freshness of their meat section. They have an aisle filled with snacks (nuts, dried fruits, gummy bears) as well as coffee that you can buy in bulk. All in all, this is going to be my main go to supermarket for a while. read more

When it comes to grocery stores around PLG and Flatbush, you have options aplenty, but it's also common to find weak selections and expired products. Though the prices at Lincoln Market are on the higher end for the neighborhood, beggars can't be choosers, and I'm just happy to find that their produce is always fresh and their aisles are always really well stocked. They carry so many brands of hard seltzer, of ice cream, of cheese, and plant based meat. All the products important to me. Mask compliance has been high every time I've shopped there this year and the lines move pretty quickly. I go about 15 minutes out of my way to shop here because it's one of the better grocery stores on this side of the park. read more

We've been coming to Lincoln Market ever since they came to PLG, and have watched them grow. We've mixed feelings, hence an 'OK' review. On the positive side, they really seem to have tried to present well, and invested quite a bit in expanding their dairy section. The appearance & ambience is generally nice, but the produce section is way too crowded and needs more space [especially during the pandemic!] They offer a wide selection of foods, including a nice cheese selection, and the cashiers are very friendly and efficient. On the down side, underneath the veneer of presentation, the customer service of management leaves a bit to be desired. They come across a bit aloof and tend to assume the customer is wrong...not right. We inadvertently purchased a food after its best-by date (but was still on the shelf) and brought it back without the receipt because we didn't save it, and they inferred that we were being untruthful. On another occasion, we attempted to use a manufacturer's coupon that was legit, and they refused to accept it, telling us we could mail it to the manufacturer with their receipt, which was not true. Also, a lot of their prices are higher than regular grocery stores...however, their weekly sales help offset them. We still shop there because there is not much to pick from in the immediate vicinity (Pioneer on Parkside & Associated on Flatbush: yecch, Stop & Shop: recently closed, Ideal on Bedford: seems to be upping their game lately)...and they do continue to improve on their presentation. If they could install a good customer service manager and expand on their weekly sales, we'd happily add more stars! read more

New grocery store in the neighborhood. Definitely fancier than most other places nearby (perhaps with the exception of Wholesome on the corner). Really nice employees from my experiences so far. Lincoln Market has prices similar to the Associated on Franklin, but is cleaner, has bigger aisles, and much more depth of item selection for things like cheese, drinks, and meats. They do carry beer as well - a generic selection for the most part. The produce so far has been a bit pricey, but of good quality, despite a confusing layout (three separate spots to find carrots??). They're still working out a lot of kinks (many items lacking prices still, for example), but this place has a lot of potential and has a great location. I'm hoping they eventually do weekly sales, which would make it my default choice in the neighborhood, otherwise I might still make the trek to Western Beef or Associated to get some staples for less. Because I'm not going to pay $7+ for non-dairy Ben & Jerry's ice cream when I can get it for 2/$5 from Associated! --- Edit: They have their sales setup now! Awesome! Seems to mirror most of the sales that Associated has on products which makes it now the clear winner in my mind for the neighborhood. read more

It's amazing when you can find the best high end products and fresh produce and seafood within the Prospect/Lefferts garden area. Hands down Lincoln Market is the best place to shop. The prices are amazingly cheap and the staff members are always friendly and welcoming. You can always find a staff member within each department to assist you immediately. They make shopping easy for disabled and elderly or just individuals that don't feel like going out to shop in public to shop online and receive their groceries the same day. Love it. This is easily the largest, widest selection, best maintained grocery store in the area. I only wish I'd discovered them sooner, since I usually get off at the Parkside ave stop rather than Prospect park stop. Meat, seafood, produce, dry goods all fantastic quality and selection. Yes, it's a more organic / gourmet grocery store, and the prices reflect that, but it doesn't feel like a ripoff in our opinion, compared to some other fancier stores we've been to in Brooklyn. I love the variety of items and great sales. However, most of the time I shop here, there is a price dispute. Items that are advertised as being on sale ring up at full price. This has gone on since this store opened. I have to load my groceries on the belt slowly so that I can check the price of each scan. I also double check my receipt before leaving. I visited today, asked for a small piece of fresh salmon that was already cut. The price, $16.81. WHAT??? The fish monger charged me for two pieces instead of one. Check your prices shoppers. I told the manager, he said he would talk to the employee. Did he? I dont know because he went to his office instead of to the fish area. After all of this being said, I prefer this store much more than Western Beef. The variety is amazing, sales are great and I expect to pay what you advertise and not more. Usually when I go everyone is very nice and friendly. Tonight I went to buy some ground Turkey to make burgers and notice the store had shady brook pre made Turkey burgers with spinach and kale...sounded yummy, so I picked it up and bought it...not knowing that when I came home and opened the meat would smell horrible! I looked at the date and saw that THE MEAT WAS 2 MONTHS OLD!! I can't believe a store would still have me like that on their shelves! it was really crazy to open the meat and smell the horrible smell! Clean, bright, well-stocked grocery store. We're very appreciative this place opened! That said, I've been overcharged for at least one item nearly every time I've shopped here. A couple of weeks ago, when I pointed out to the cashier that an item was on sale, she quickly said, "No, it's not." I politely said that I thought it was and asked if someone could check. A manager immediately told her the price was indeed lower than it had rung up. More recently, when I was again overcharged, a manager described how tough it was to stay on top of ever-changing distributor pricing for their thousands upon thousands of products. This grocery store opened up a couple of weeks after I moved to the neighborhood and it is THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN. First off, this is one of the largest, nicest, cleanest grocery stores that I have ever been to in the NYC area. I have bought everything from meat to produce here and it has all been very fresh. Also, the prices are not too high and the employees are all really nice! What more could you ask for!!? Also, Ben & Jerry's was on sale at 2 for $6 this week. My old grocery store use to charge 2 for $7 when it had a Ben & Jerry's sale. Please let this be proof that Lincoln Market is CLEARLY winning the grocery store game. read more

A breath of fresh air after shopping at the Western Beef for years. It's a really solid supermarket. They have a full service deli counter, a fantastic cheese counter (with a cheese monger!), and a wonderful selection of delicious looking meats. The prices are a good midpoint. Definitely not as low as the other big supermarket in the area, but they are not Whole Foods prices. The biggest thing I will say is this place has some great quality control (for now at least), because every piece of produce I've gotten from there has been exceptional! It's at a perfect location, right off of the B,Q Prospect Park stop, so it's perfect for people coming down to the neighborhood to visit the park. A very solid grocery store. read more

I sorry to say I can't even give this 1 star, purchase from your ready serve menu , 1 roasted chicken, hot home steamed some rice, sauteed some vege & made a soy sauce base sauce to enjoy, when I open the container the chicken looked beyond burnt, but I'm saying the rub they used must be dark & I'll take off the skin any way, didnt help is was burnt havent only prep the above listed I served my husband a place and myself we tried to consume the unconsumeable until we had to dump the meals, I place the uneaten just over 1/2 chicken back in the container & place it in the refrigerator, to take back to the store the next day, because we recycle the bag that the chicken was served in was used as a trash bag, and unknowing the cashier place the receipt in the bag & gave me cash in hand so thinking I had the change & receipt in my purse no receipt. Went online to search for return policy, none were listed went into store about 10 am to be told no receipt there is nothing there can do although the price tag is still on the container with the name of the place listed. I said ok then can u dump this for we an walk out, that will be the last time you'll see my business & my building business as I have shared my experience, its just a couple of hundred neighborhood persons. Great addition to the neighborhood - a great option for fresh quality stuff (- not a huge fan of the prepped foods - chicken is dry, shrimp is over cooked and tough and the two guys that I've dealt with behind the counter have been unpleasant).
