The history and architecture of the property is beyond comparison to anything else. But the stay experience falls short after that. The problem with this property is the management. The entire staff is friendly and appears to want to provide you with good service but they've never been trained on how to do their job. From housekeeping, to service at the bar and restaurant, to simple upkeep of linens and the general property, this property should be a five star but it's a two star at best. Stay at any of the other travel hotels. You'll be much more satisfied. You'll get what you expect. This is a property in the Marriott Signature line that does not live up to what you expect from this brand. We will not return to this hotel. We have shared our frustration many time with the management over the years.

I got sent to a loading dock because someone made assumptions based on my work uniform rather than listening to me. Thankfully, Tina at the front desk completely saved the day. She was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and made the mishap vanish. Exceptional service from her! Beyond the arrival, the property is fantastic! Lobby & Hallways: Clean, modern, and very well maintained. Rooms: Spacious, great bedding, an incredible shower, and perfectly themed artwork. Atmosphere: The common areas double as a legitimate rock 'n' roll museum featuring memorabilia from Prince, Stevie Nicks, Elvis, and more. Casino & Perks: Thursday night rewards were great, plus room stays include a free drink ticket. Dining: Fuel American Grill was surprisingly amazing. We didn't eat here, but I saw they had eggs, potatoes, and sausage. They also had the usual items like bagels. The room is very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room had a microwave and a decent sized fridge. It also has a Keurig which I know may be considered pretty standard nowadays. I forgot soap, but was glad to see that there was a bottle of Bath and Body Works body wash that had a eucalyptus scent. When I was checking in, I inadvertently prevented check-in from being as smooth as possible, but the young lady working the desk (Sydney) was very friendly, patient, and understanding. Lastly, I felt as though the room was very nicely priced as I've stayed in far worse for more money. The only issue we had is that the sheet on the bed made no attempt at staying on, but I didn't even notice until my Wife pointed it out I don't know how often I'll get the chance to stay at this chain since there aren't any close to me, but I'd stay here again without hesitation.

She checked me in right away and gave me a room on the second floor. The first thing I noticed when walking in was there was a smell of maple syrup in the air, and it was throughout the room. After a while I didn't notice the smell anymore, but when I left for dinner and came back, I smelled it again. It wasn't offensive, just weird. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was also clean, but didn't have any shampoo or conditioner, only (2) bars of soap, (2) make-up removers and lotion. This room has an in-room coffee maker and was stocked with coffees and teas and all the things you need in the morning. Overall, this is a nice hotel, and I would stay here again.

When we moved the chair in the room to sit by the window we found a discarded pair of underwear behind it. Otherwise the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the A/C wasn't too loud. Even though we set the temperature, the A/C unit did it's own thing changing the temp. At one point in the night it dropped to 70 and it was set at 74 so we woke up very cold. But it was 75 and hot when we woke up in the morning. Front desk staff were efficient. I was disappointed that the M Club only served breakfast until 9am on a Sunday. It would have been nice to have it until 9:30am.

And the toilet paper is literally jammed between the tank and the sink... no fu*#way that a normal sized person could possibly reach the roll behind then, much less get it to unroll. Here's how it gets an extra star (from one to two): the rooms have been updated (at least attempted). Updated TV, comfortable bed and some extra outlets. The pool is nice too. The pool was closed. It is a pet friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and the floors are wood laminate. Comfy beds and plenty of pillows. There is a microwave, fridge, blow dryer and iron in the room. Fresh coffee by the main desk. There is an expanded hot and cold breakfast that they ask you to make and take back to your room for Covid protection. When we went down they had not restocked the breakfast area so several items missing. The fan provides good white noise. This is an okay one night stay for the rate.
