The motif is based on a cabin-ish style and that's something I always enjoy. The lobby is pretty big and open and the hotel appears to be geared towards large groups such as a wedding, or business get-together as there are several meeting rooms. The hotel does have an indoor/outdoor pool and several, spacious sitting areas. There is a bar located on sight and they serve a free breakfast in the morning. We didn't eat here, but I saw they had eggs, potatoes, and sausage. They also had the usual items like bagels. The room is very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room had a microwave and a decent sized fridge. It also has a Keurig which I know may be considered pretty standard nowadays. I forgot soap, but was glad to see that there was a bottle of Bath and Body Works body wash that had a eucalyptus scent. When I was checking in, I inadvertently prevented check-in from being as smooth as possible, but the young lady working the desk (Sydney) was very friendly, patient, and understanding. Lastly, I felt as though the room was very nicely priced as I've stayed in far worse for more money. The only issue we had is that the sheet on the bed made no attempt at staying on, but I didn't even notice until my Wife pointed it out I don't know how often I'll get the chance to stay at this chain since there aren't any close to me, but I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Their website makes it look amazing and a steal of a deal but I've stayed in Best Westerns that seemed cleaner. The pool was down for a little bit while we were there (maintenance so it wasn't their fault). Our room was clean at first glance but had some dirty sports. Weird stain on the wall inside the door, some short little hairs in the shower. Very convenient and worth a stay if in town for business or pleasure. Hotel staff was very kind.

I arrived just as they opened so I was the first one there. Street parking was not an issue, but it may be later in the day. I don't know. They have a smaller luncheon menu and I chose lasagna and a side salad. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was a really light Italian that was very complementary to the greens and not overwhelming at all. When the lasagna came, I initially thought wow that's a lot of cheese, but it really was not an overwhelming amount. And the taste of the sauce as well as the meat in the lasagna was fantastic. I don't know what I expected, quite possibly the same generic type of lasagna you get at most places, but this was far from it. Very different than many other lasagnas and tasted as if a family member made it with an old secret family recipe. The restaurant is very clean and classy. My server was very polite and attentive, but not overwhelming. I didn't get any bread, which was a bit of a disappointment, not because I need bread in the least, but I do enjoy trying different breads at different restaurants. However, that takes away nothing from the dining experience for me. I won't even remove a star for it. This is five star all the way.

We ordered the stuffed pork chops and the salmon piccata. The piccata had a huge amount of pine nuts and capers and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Had a golf ball hit a windshield where the hole is lined up right next to the road with no netting or any warnings about how their golf course is lined right next to a very busy road with no protection whatsoever, the clubhouse told me to call the owner Farrell so I did and before I could even explain to him what happened to ask what the process was he immediately started yelling in the phone "who gave you my number!" And "maybe you should be a better golfer" (for context I've broken 80 multiple times, I'm not the worst golfer) he the goes on to mention how this year alone 20+ windshields have been broken on the hole which proves that there needs to be some sort of warning or protection. Even though all the laws and everything supports them being at fault he just continued to yell through the phone (very professional) I didn't want to leave the lady with a broken windshield so I paid for it anyways because he wasn't going to, I didnt call for them to pay for it, I just called him because this obviously happens all the time and I jus wanted to know what to do in the situation. The owner then started puffing his chest on the phone talking about how he can beat me in golf, it's honestly laughable the way he acted as an old old man. I would never give a cent to that business and someone needs to take them to court for actively knowing they have a problem with balls going into the road and damaging cars and not doing a thing about it. Not only is the only a low life human based on my 5-10 minute conversation with him, but the course is the worst course I have ever played in my life

The carpet was dirty, there was puke in the bathroom, some of the stalls were clogged and didn't even work. The owner was absolutely rude and basically called us liars, said we didn't make a deposit and he could've made more money booking the room for a home Husker game. I would not recommend hosting a party at this venue! Sad for South Sioux City to have owners treat customers so poorly.
