You are going to spend more money and have more issues at another gym. Trust. The pregnant manager goes around and sanitizes and vacuums--that's not going to happen at other gyms. Staff is super nice and friendly. The gym does run its A/C. Thank you for not being cheap because I don't know who wants to workout in a hot and stinky gym. Members keep to themselves--reasons why I have left other gyms. I'm giving it a 5 (but really a 4.5). I wish they had more/better equipment. They really need machines similar to Gold's Gym. Gold's has more leg machines but their stuff is always broken lol. Fit 19 has some repetitive and hardly-used equipment. I love that you can go into the studio and access all the kettlebells/weights/bars/mats This is usually restricted in other gyms. They often do not let you use weights in the studios at other places. The turf area is nice as well and is always kept clean and organized. People don't leave weights all around the gym--like at other gyms. The equipment is rarely broken like at other gyms with higher price points. You'll be lucky if LA Fitness' cardio machines are working. The spin bike room is so nice compared to other gyms as well. There's a lot more bikes compared to other spin rooms. All in all, you get what you pay for and in my opinion, I'm getting more than what I pay for--$10 a month. It's not a high-fees micro-managed establishment like most lower priced gyms.

Needless to say, it has been a wonderful training relationship as P is knowledgeable and carefully programs workouts based on each client's needs and goals. I'm a dance instructor and I need to train with someone who understands movement and injury prevention. She has helped me tremendously with joint mobility, strength training, and flexibility. The restrooms haven't got any better and the locker rooms need to be updated SERIOUSLY LA Fitness have such nicer facilities that it's almost worth it for me to drive up to the one off of the 210 Fwy. This one does have an indoor track but a lot of the equipment gets broken and it takes a while for it to be replaced or fixed. Some of the rubber handles on the weights are ripped or barely hanging on. On the LAT Pulls they no longer have the little 'add on' weights and on many of the weights the cords are missing from the pin. An…read moreemployee at the Upland location convinced me to prepay for 2 years for roughly $500, and in the process he changed my membership number, didn't cancel the old number, and caused me to be charged another $320 for another membership. First I went on the app and interacted with their AI assistant to try resolving this - but it referred my concerns to an employee who never responded. Then I called the Upland location that made the mess, but the manager said he couldn't do anything to refund the charge, and proceeded to try putting the blame on me for not getting the cancellation of my old membership number in writing! Apparently he thinks I should have done a better job of supervising their employee's work in the computer? Or maybe I should have known that their employee changing my membership number would create such a mess? I asked for a corporate number, and the manager said there isn't one, but I could email customer service. Problem is, he gave me an incorrect email address. So I tried to call the corporate customer service number (which I got from another location), and the automated system wouldn't do anything but circle me back to the Upland gym location. Then I scoured the Internet for a good corporate email address, and sent my email - but no response. I knew that 24 Hr Fitness had to change things after their bankruptcy, but for them to turn their customer service into such a nightmare is unbelievable. In a nutshell, AVOID THIS PLACE. It's not just my membership issue. The complaints from other reviewers on here are also accurate. Poor maintenance, filthy locker rooms, broken equipment, rules that aren't being enforced at all, and days when the music is cranked so loud you can't hear what's playing on your own earbuds. Just one big poorly managed mess.
