I got riding lessons for xmas in 2024, was super excited and went to a couple of lessons. was a little disappinted that I wasn't being trained in wester which I told them I was more comfortable with, they told me after 10 lessions i could do western, so I was like ok cool. Then my schedule started getting busy and I couldnt' go. I informed them of this. So that fall I reached out and got zero response. So I did a follow up email and phone and text. Still no response. So I left it alone Then two weeks later I get a text from the trainer. And informed me they only had tuesdays and thursday. night availble. In formed her I cannot do that and be there on time due to my job. So I reached out again and asked for a refund on these lessions due to scheduling conflicts. They told me via text they would refund me Its been a mnth and still no refund. I tried to call, messaged them on facebook messenger, so far no response. i will say this place it great for younger children, but not adults if they want to learn or get back to riding. My main complaint is they have terrible communication. I never knew who to contact about anything. But the stable was good and trainers good, just terrible communication. read more

I've been riding at linden hills a few years and it's AMAZING!!! The people who work there are really nice and they choose horses based on what you can do. Also the horse camps they have are a lot of fun and I hope more people would come because sometimes there's like 4 people. Anyway I recommend Linden Hills read more

We had a birthday party here recently, and give it 2/5 overall. First, the good things. The kids had a great time riding the horses, and there were activities provided (brushing the horses, learning about the equipment, feeding them peppermints, and finally rides). It is not 2 hours of riding though. Each child is given 2 tickets for one ride around the stable. The birthday child gets an extra ride around. I didn't have to clean up, which was nice. When I spoke with the owner on the phone, she was very nice. On to the not-so-great stuff. There was no working restroom. Apparently they had a pipe break and it was expensive to fix. She offered to let us use the restroom but warned that it was gross. Most of the kids chose to go outside. I wish I had been warned, as we would have let the parents know or rescheduled for a time with a working restroom. Second, there is no separate room for birthday events. The party is in the stable, and there are flies EVERYWHERE. There was a cooler with something to drink, and cups beside it and they were literally blanketed with flies. When I spoke with the owner I chose the cake flavor, yet when the day came the person running the event did not offer to bring out the cake until I requested it. I had also brought cupcakes and she "figured that was enough." The owner was not present at our event. The girl hosting the event acted like she didn't want us to eat the cake. It was just weird. There were cakes stacked in the office (not refridgerated) and she said when people bring their own cake they re-use the cakes for the next party. Hello?! I paid for the event, why can't I take the cake home? Finally, there were 2 young girls assisting with the events and I don't feel like they had the training to guide children around horses. Most of the parents later spoke up that they were very uneasy and worried about their children being so close to the horses. I would not recommend this venue for a birthday party. For the price paid, I would have expected more. read more

I bought a horseback riding birthday party package for my 12 year old daughter through Living Social. The ad said the package included party set up, cake, 2 hours of horseback riding for the kids and clean up. After purchasing the package and 3 phone calls I discovered the "horseback riding" was led. I called and explained this party was for 12 year olds and they had all ridden before to no avail. I was told they would ride the horses inside and outside (depending on the weather). When we got there several people were outside including the party finishing up. No one came to our car to explain where to go or what to do. I had to walk up to an employee and ask. The "birthday party area" was inside a barn with flies everywhere and clean enough for a barn but unacceptable for an eating place. There were absolutely no decorations and only a cooler of warm water with plastic cups for drinks. I brought my own cake after an unpleasant encounter with the owner where asked 2 days before the party for the package birthday cake to be provided (Initially I said I would bring my own) and her telling me it was a $10 fee for the package cake. When I mentioned that I tried to call earlier and got the answering machine several times (not rudely) she told me that "they had a life"???? The actual horseback riding was a joke - one horse for 5 girls and they had to wait while the rider was walked around the stable twice in each direction. Also the horse was being difficult and the two teenage girls that were helping us had to encourage the horse frequently to keep walking. To make matters worse, no bathrooms, just a port a potty - and no where to wash your hands. I took the girls and left after the "horseback riding" and took them to get pizza and dessert to try salvage the party. My 12 year old was very disappointed and embarrassed. Also - never saw the owner which in retrospect is probably a good thing. It's a good thing I only paid $100 for the $200 party package. read more
