Eleanor indulged in pizza, snacks, and crumbl cookies with her friends that attended the party, then it was time to open presents. She had very many exciting expressions while opening presents then sang happy birthday and off they went to go play. Eleanor enjoyed the pirate ship swinging back-and-forth with Nevaeh. Miss Avery enjoyed her time in the toddlers ball pit, but Nathaniel not so much he did not like it and started crying. And Scarlett left with a gorgeous cotton candy butterfly. I believe Eleanor had a very good time today with her friends! Happy 6th birthday, Eleanor. If you're looking for a birthday party event for a young child, I would highly recommend this indoor playcenter you can rent a room out have it for 2 1/2 hours. Pick your food choices for each child and then they have unlimited play. They have a toddlers area for three and under. every person does have to sign a waiver online if you're going for a birthday party you have to RSVP online. They have a wonderful snack bar with lots of food options, chicken wraps, mozzarella sticks, pizza, coffee, Café and more. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM they're closed on Sunday

This spot takes the fun of a play place, adds a bounce house, ride and rock climbing. As a parent, one of my favorite things is that they have food...and not just snacks, but salads, chicken, pizza and snacks too. We can stay most of the day and the kids will get all their energy out without being starving when we leave. I just wish it was not as expensive (and closer)!

As a member of the Zoo I've been lucky enough to visit the Sobela Ocean Aquarium countless times,…read moreand this is honestly one of the best things the Zoo has done to expand its offerings. First thing's first, if you are just wanting to visit the Aquarium you'll still need a ticket to the Zoo, as the Aquarium is just a part of the larger Zoo experience. I love this too, FWIW. This Aquarium, while top of the line, is not really intended to be a stand alone attraction, and in my opinion is not really large enough to merit a full day. It's plenty big and impressive though, if you are working it into your KC Zoo trip. What's great about this aquarium is that for the size and price you get to see sharks, sea otters, eels, jellyfish, and more! To a small kid it will feel massive, and even to an adult there is plenty to charm and awe. I love that during the heat of summer or the chill of winter there is a nice sized space to get relief from the elements, and there's always plenty of staff inside to answer questions. It should also be noted that hands down this is the best aquarium in KC. It blows SeaLife out of the water and is a much better value - in short, just support local and go here if you are on the hunt for an aquarium. All in all, this is a good Aquarium for our fair city.

Loved the outdoor space to explore with little trikes and a playhouse, wheelbarrows, etc. There were several reading books set areas set up with books to read to your kids, a large overhead climbing area, lots of busy boards, tables set up with smaller building toys for older kids, and more!

Now the treehouse was a little bit dirty, but I think it's probably the time of the year and that it was really damp and wet during our visit. There's a place for you to have lunch. Earlier today I went to the bathroom and some guy in there was trying to sell me drugs. That is the biggest problem with independence and Missouri in general is the amount of drug dealers here and the police in the entire state are completely worthless. Other than that, I will say I like to park but the police need to come here more often. But that's more of an independence problem than the park. But that's Missouri for you. High crime, a lot of drug dealers and completely worthless police.

Pros: - Two well-designed, "Pioneer"-themed playgrounds with great equipment and rubber matting - Paved, wide-open walking paths - Plenty of picnic tables and grills - A great water park!! - baseball diamond - Lots of informative plaques about local history, with Braille - The entire park is wheelchair-accessible - Very well maintained Cons: Not really any to speak of, except that people shouldn't leave so much trash behind. But I make that complaint about every park. The park was clean enough that I didn't feel nervous about being barefoot after playing with my Little One in the water park. This park is gorgeous and has lots of amenities.

I also didn't like that she just picked up the kids without asking them and then felt like kids had to give her a high five / hug but they didn't ask for it. She kept asking for hugs- not appropriate in my mind especially with younger children / any age. It took a long time setting up a party video that played for a few minutes and some of the pictures on it were blurry and only of the same three kids when there were 12 total. The inflatables were okay but felt a little bit dirty and not fully inflated to me. We had fun with all the friends that invited us but I personally would probably not come back on my own or host anything here. The arcade games in the rooms seemed funny placement to me especially since they weren't free and definitely overstimulated with all the toys in the front of the store when you first arrived. Bathroom okay but the pressure of the sink was very high and sprayed all over.
