For military spouses I highly suggest you look elsewhere…read more They care more about blood lab work than actually caring for the patient. Each time I have a meeting with the nurse practitioner she has said one thing and done another and I end of having to make another appointment to figure out why she did or didn't do what was discussed. She hasn't listened to anything I have had concerns about , quickly assumes uneducated things about my medication and hasn't looked into my medical history. As a military spouse, you don't have another adult to help with the family most days and there isn't an extended network of help when you just move here. I have had a type of virus for a week and needed to speak to someone. I explained it was just me and my children and I couldn't just show up to urgent care (especially with Covid happening) and needed to speak with my provider about options. They first told me they isn't have any appointments, but then called me 5 mins later to get a THIRD APPOINTMENT on lab work that was never discussed. I explained I wasn't coming in for lab work until I felt better and REEXPLAINED my situation. They said they would talk with a nurse and get back to me. They never did. Their number they text you to speak directly to your physician is a joke. I asked to speak with her through text and reexplained for a third time my situation and it went silent after 1pm. For medical practice and only being available Tu-Th, is also a nightmare trying to see anyone. Imagine trying to contact them on a Thursday and no one gets back to you when they knowingly are aware that means I won't be able to reach them 5 days after. After having a bad feeling about this practice and not being there when I needed my physician to be an actual physician for once, I will be letting Tricare know why we are switching to another practice next week.

My nurse, Stacy Parker, went above and beyond making me feel listened to and helped! she gave me information I was unaware of and didn't let anyone make me more nervous or allow a doctor to say differently. My doctor Ludrena Rodriguez was very understanding about my fear and didn't make me feel bad! She told me exactly what she was about to do and never strayed from that scientific explanation. She was also warm and friendly, I didn't feel like I was being annoying with questions or my dear. Although I didn't get to speak to the shadow nurse (Jessica Coder) she was still kind and knowledgeable when asking questions, she didn't make me feel uncomfy.

Many times !!! The second time they placed me with a female but she was talking to be in a rude manner I was dealing with the loss of a loved one and the doctor was treating me like I didn't know anything and her tone was disgusting to say the least!! That doctor made me cry because of how she was talking to me. I have always enjoyed the doctors but having these experiences made me afraid to book future appointments I was unhappy about how they both handled things. Don't go here wouldn't recommend to anyone !!!

This review for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Women's Hospital is being written from…read morethe observer's point of view. We drove our daughter the three hours from the Wilmington area if NC to Chapel Hill for scheduled surgery. Her check in time was 5:30am for the first surgery of the day. The bad news was this meant we had to hit the road by 2 am. The good news meant that we missed the rush hour traffic in the Raleigh-Dufham area. The first part of the hospital experience started with parking. There is a large parking garage with ample parking directly across from the hospital. Inside the garage it has good signage directing you to the correct cat walk to get you right to the front door of the hospital. 5 stars Entering the main entrance to the hospital was very organized. You first encountered a table with face masks for the taking and signage reminding face masks are required in the facility. The same table had a large pump bottle with hand sanitizer for use. After face masks are applied the patient and transportation members walk straight forward to other great signage that advises the patient to take a number and watch the television screen on the wall for their number to appear. This area had plentiful seating that was spread throughout the area so there was space among the groups of patients. 5 stars When the number appeared on the screen it advised the patient which registration booth to go to. You could tell this was a large capacity facility by the number of registration booths they had running at one time. Our daughter went and completed her registration without much difficulty as much of the information was taken prior to the day if surgery. It was mostly showing id, insurance card, and signing paperwork. At the end of the registration she was given a paper map with directions of how to get to the surgery location. She was also given paperwork to hand to the check in location. 5 stars After following the directions and hiking thru the hospital we easily located the surgery check in location. Once again this process was very organized so they could handle the massive number of patients seen. Apparently there are eleven surgical rooms that are routinely being used at any one time. After turning in the registration paperwork our daughter was given a paper to hand off to us. On one side it had a number assigned uniquely to her and the opposite side had a color system so you could follow your patient and see what stage of the surgical process they were in. As family we were instructed to find seats in this waiting area and watch the screen on the wall that would post our daughter's unique number and be shaded with the color coating system. We were also advised that during the prep time one person could go into the prep area and be with her. I did this when advised she was in the stage that a member could be with her. 5 stars In the prep area there was a white board that contained her name, current vitals, and the surgical team members that would be checking in with her. After each person made their contact the nurse in charge of her particular case would x off that the step was completed. Example, the surgical nurse, the anesthesiologist, the surgeon, etc. Once the seven or eight people were checked off she was advised she was ready to have surgery. 5 stars I proceeded out to the waiting room and joined my husband. Whoever came up with the color coded system was a genius. It was very reassuring to follow our daughter through the stages of surgery and recovery. At the end the surgeon and his resident located us in the waiting area and informed us about the surgery and what to expect afterwards. They were very thorough but easy to understand. I could understand why our daughter liked this doctor. 5 stars After this step we were both allowed to join our daughter until she was released. Due to the length of time in this process it was now lunch time so the staffing was minimal. It took a fair amount of time for the person to show up with the wheelchair to take her to the front door. The gentleman was very polite and stopped with our daughter at the pharmacy for her prescriptions. At this point my husband went to the garage to retrieve our vehicle and drive up to the front door to load our daughter and myself. After loading up we were ready to hit the road for the long trip back to her house. 5 stars Thanks for providing such a good experience for such a specialized procedure. This was a true five star experience! 2023/ #6

I would not recommend UNC as Whole nor UNC Appalachian 1…read more UNC now is implementing a new program for nursing to where the hospital put the shift time/date needed and RNs will now bid on it, goes to lowest bidder Healthcare, has reached a new low, it is all BUSINESS now and about that dollar to add to the outrageous salaries/Bonuses upper mgmt make. I hope nursing pulls together and rehects this new "idea" 2. I would NOT recommend Cannon for alone incidents that have happened in their lab, good employees have left, "traveler" Mgr issues not being addressed. Definitely mgmt turns their eye away from problems. Healthcare is now MONEYCARE at the patients expense

I made an appointment at Nextcare on Glensford Road, intentionally selecting this area based on the high quality of businesses surrounding it. I made my appointment for 6 pm to give myself time to hydrate on soup and tea. My overall experience was so-so. I showed up to my appointment 48 minutes early and I was not seen until an hour after my appointment. I understand the nature of triage so it was not so much the wait. A few notes: (1) I did not look at the google reviews so I did not see the comments previously about the "waiting". I wish I would have taken some photos of the waiting areas but it had a filthy smell and it looked as if it had not been cleaned/sanitized in a very long time. I would not want my kids to play or sit in the kid table/chairs. I felt like going to relief myself from drinking so many liquids throughout the day but I stepped inti the restroom and it looked and smelled the same as the waiting area so I held myself until i went home. Also there was no toulet paper anyway. Just not a condition I would expect to see at a "medical clinic.". (2) The front desk staff do not really hear you as I entered I told them I had pre-filled the documents and scanned my IDs on the web for this appointment. The desk person did not make eye contact but she told me to grab a mask and provide info that I previously provided online. I complied and she did later acknowledge she saw my online input. On that note, I have verification that Nextcare "pre-online documentation process" does work. (3) Regarding the masks...The front desk requested strict compliance with the mask rule which I complied and appreciated. However, they do not enforce it with the already seated patients in the waiting area. I saw most of the adults and children were not masked up. The front desk staff does not enforce them to comply. The enforced conpliance ends after they tell the patient at check-in. They cannot see over the counter if nobody bothers to get up and monitor the waiting area. (4) The actual medical staff was very caring once I was called up to walk through the door to be seen. I was given a rapid COVID exam. I was negative. Then a PA or Doc consulted me and told me there are a lot of new strains of COVID out there so he was going to do another COVID test to send out to labs who specialize in the patest strains trend. I did not know until a medical friend of mine told me later that I could have refused because that is an upsell that uour insurance may not cover and it "will come out of your pocket.". I did not know, I thought the medicalvdoc or PA was exercising authority to ensure a citizen is not contaminating the community since I drive catering/delivery in the evenings. (5) the actual medical staff and the Doc/PA told me I had to pick up a prescription at CVS on Owen drive. Not sure why they told me to go there...there is a closer CVS location at Skibo. So I went over to CVS to wait there forctwo hours only for the pharmacist Brittany to tell me there is no prescription. The Nextcare wants you to buy Robitussen. That was a complete waste of time. I wish Nextcare would have told me that instead of sending me on a wild goose-chase.
