The fundamental of what a lot of kids are missing these days. I notice my son needed help. He can't communicate on why he have problems with his homework or where to even start to solve the problems. Kumon step in to assist with that. They teach the kids to understand the materials but if they don't, they at least, can communicate on why they're having problems and they can find ways to solve these issues on their own. Again, this is not an over night thing. So if parents are expecting a miracle and need it instantly. Kumon is not a place for you.. In order to make this program successful. After 50 hours for each kid, only 5 pages of their books have been completed. My son is preparing for Math 1 for 7th grade and he performed beyond the assigned C2 book so was bored and had to bring in his own school work, which the tutor was ineffective with because he only talks about his dog. I complained and the center manager told me it was "on brand" for that tutor. My daughter tried to be more collaborative, but at the expense of her own learning. Sat in lecture for 1 day with RN/program director she has jokes love her too! She is a bit strict when it comes to learning but tough love is always good. They were very accommodating with my schedule and answered all questions without getting frustrated. I would drive from Matthews to Gastonia for evening classes and 10/10 would do it all over again worth the drive & also they are a testing center a plus I didn't worry about finding or stressing over that I would say the uniforms I would prefer a solid color but eh not the main character of the experience.

This is particularly disheartening for an instructor in the sciences. She gave students bad information about HIV. But I cringe every time she insists that skills be demonstrated to perfection the very first time and when students invariably fail her on their very first try, she gives them a laundry list of mistakes. Today I asked for a copy of my certificate of completion from Umanah. She said it would be five dollars. She asked about a bad review I had written on another site. I immediately admitted I didn't think much of her program and said as much online. Then she WITHHELD MY DOCUMENTS. She held my documents hostage (which are required for nursing school applications) because I didn't like her. That is low, low, low. Thankfully, she did call me later after I told her that the Board of Nursing might be interested in her personal vendettas, and gave me my documents.
