On arrival reception had us booked in, and in the room within a few minutes with such a friendly attitude. The room was a wonderful size with a sofa bed, dressing table, plenty of hanging space. Extra bedding if needed. Very comfortable huge bed. TV on the wall. Tea/coffee making facilities. Nice, clean bathroom with some toiletries. Powerful shower, which I love. This hotel doesn't have a 'restaurant' as there is a pub on site but the quaint breakfast room cannot be beaten. Friendly staff who will cook anything special that you may need. Why would you though, everything is there freshly cooked. If ever we are back 'up north' then Premier Inn Chorley North will have us, as visitors, again, Finally, thank you to all the staff for a nice two night stay. See you soon.

I have no idea if the food will be good or bad as I don't know that I will be eating here, but it is in a very convenient lacation, and the room looks great. Even has Horlicks as well as hot chocolate and bikkie on the tray. I think the room must have been revamped recently as it all looks great. Flat screen TV is a nice feature, although they managed to fasten it in a way that it keeps swinging towards the wall slightly. Canny on tha herl, as they say in geordieland :-)

(I don't know whether it is cheap or not as I've never had to pay to go there). The food on at least two of those three occasions I've been was woeful and I did not enjoy it one bit. The only slight thing in its favour is its proximity to the motorway network -- but it's a long way from any public transport links. I won't be going here again unless I absolutely have to!

A comfortable room with a choice of bath or just a shower. A B&B often has better care taken as it is their own property, and this was no exception. Car park at the back, and a quick walk to the pub over the road (see seperate review) and a cashpoint further down the road. The breakfast was buffet style with fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, with fresh coffee or tea. One of the best things was the very smiley welcome from the lady of the house! I felt welcome, and refreshed after my stay.

The local neighborhood has abundant shopping and dining options within easy walking distance. All of our morning and evening meals were in the hotel dining room. My little boy loved the baby pool each day. Food was good, room cleaned nicely each day. We have booked to return again soon, hopefully on a Tuesday as this, according to the literature I read in our excellent sized room, is a very special day at the Dalmeny as this is when they have the weeky fire alarm test which I would love to experience, especially as the children's entertainment is only on a weekend during term time. I dream not only of hearing the dulcit tones of the fire alarm test...ringing out like the glorious Westminster Abbey bells, but of being there during a test evacation, assembling at the fire point (which is at the front car park), meeting the fire wardens, chatting for ages about hazards and risks...I love Health & Safety, it could be the reason I've only been married 4 times but that's another story. My wife, unfortunately, doesn't share my passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety but she, like me, enjoys the hospitality and experience the Dalmeny offers, so we do have something in common. We are due back again for 5 nights 8-13th September, if it were possible to have a tour of the fire exits and and any C.O.S.H cages etc it would really make my day. They are very obliging and willing to do what they can to make your stay as nice as possible. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Just back from spending the September bank holiday weekend in The Chesterfield Pet Friendly Hotel…read morein Blackpool. On arrival we were too early, but still we were allowed to check in with a very warm welcome from Julie who runs the Hotel with her brother Steve. Julie also made us a pot of Coffee with biscuits to welcome us. Nice touch. The room we had was comfortable, clean, with a double bed, en suite, Kettle (tea and coffee) and a small flat screen Tv and wi-fi. Breakfast was excellent, the portions genorous and served with a smile. The Bar downstairs is cosy and a nice place to have a quiet drink if you don't like the hustle and bustle of Blackpool at night. The prices of the drink's were good too. Happy hour 8-9 at night. And we met other people using the Hotel who were very friendly for a good chat. In summing up i would say this is great accomodation, at a great price with very friendly and hard working owners who go out their way to ensure you have a nice stay whilst on holiday. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone; i know i would certainly try The Chesterfield before anywhere else if i was to return to Blackpool.

Some of them are single beds, some 3/4 - the price you pay depends on the bed size! They have flats with up to 8 bedrooms sharing a kitchen (again the size of kitchen depends on the no of rooms sharing it) I shared a 4 bedroom flat - was in a single room, the bathroom bit was nice. We were on the 1st floor- unfortunately i got noise from above and below- my friend who was down the corridoor had the quietest room ever - so really its just about luck! Nice accomodation ,but you will pay for it. Just down the road from the student union, so ideal location!
