Not having booked this hotel myself , (my wife booked it) or even seen any details on it prior to my stay I am giving a completely unbiased review..5 stars as my expectations were met. Nestled in beautiful Interlaken, Switzerland right on the bank of the River Aare the Lindner Grand Hotel Beau Rivage was a 'delight'. The staff were amazing, the rooms were small but cozy and there definitely was a nostalgic feel; the hotel still has a 'key' entry into the rooms that hang behind the receptionist desk like the days of old. Kinda cool I thought. The room I stayed in also had a small patio with two sets of French doors that opened up to the amazing fresh air and view of the river. I utilised some of the ammenities during my stay; the pool, gym, sauna and steam room are all located on the lower lever. Very clean and well maintained. If you are a gym enthusiast like myself be practical as most of the Hotel Gyms in European hotels are small and not a priority as in most of America. Enjoy the abundant breakfast buffet and grab a window seat and savour the view, you will not be disappointed. I would not hesitate to stay there again. *Hotel has parking *Good free WIFI connection *On site activities desk

Incredible full service hotel with optional balcony views of Interlaken and surrounding mountains. Pool, restaurant, and cigar room onsite. Shuttle provided by request to local train stations, although everything is within walking distance (brienz, thun, shops, Harder Bahn train to top of Interlaken). Competition is tough with several great 5 star hotels in the area, and Lindner Grand is sure to provide an amazing hotel experience for anyone staying in Interlaken.

Enough that I think I have a pretty good barometer for what is genuinely five-star and what is just marketed that way. Victoria Jungfrau in Interlaken is the real thing. What stood out wasn't one flashy moment. It was the consistency and attention to detail from every single member of staff I interacted with. That kind of alignment doesn't happen by accident. It reflects culture and leadership. There's something here that feels like old-school European excellence in hospitality. Service that is confident, calm, precise, and not overly theatrical. It feels intentional. Lara at reception was excellent. Professional, efficient, and warm without being overdone. Check-in was smooth and polished, but never stiff. Chantal at concierge was exceptional. She noticed me every time I walked into the hotel. Not occasionally. Every time. She remembered what she had arranged, followed up naturally, and clearly paid attention. That level of detail is rare, even at top-tier properties. It made a difference. I genuinely felt that she wanted my experience in Interlaken to be great, not just adequate. In a world where many luxury hotels rely on branding and design to carry the experience, Victoria Jungfrau delivers through people. That's harder to manufacture. And it shows.

Singers at a nearby restaurant serenaded every night for dinner. Horses and buggies were taking riders around the area. The stores were great for chocolate, watches, clothes, souvenirs, etc. The hourly church bells were charming. Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. Online reservations through Expedia and check-in were easy. The lobby is beautiful with a bar, lounging area, and even shopping. It feels like a casino. There are three elevators; I only had to wait once because of a large group that just arrived. I was in a single room with a nice bathroom (shower) and balcony. I would have liked fluffier pillows and one more towel plus washcloths for showering. I also made reservations to eat at their awesome restaurant (Top of the Met) with panoramic views and gourmet food. I wish I could get the recipe for their sauce that came with the roasted chicken. I could drink cups of it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try out their sauna or fitness center. Next time!!

This was THE BEST hotel stay I had while visiting Switzerland! First things, I booked a single room and was shocked when I walked in to find a queen sized bed. This is really an upgrade from what most other hotels provide to single room bookings. Yes, it was small but well laid out. All the comforts and toiletries were provided. Toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, slippers and so much more. Plus, the bed was insanely comfortable AND the room had great AC. I also loved that they provided a mini fridge and left a cold water everyday. That was a nice little touch. I suppose the only minor issue was the shower/bath tub situation. It was setup rather awkwardly but nothing that couldn't be managed. It wasn't issue enough for me to remove a star! But just a heads up. If you are very tall or have mobility issues, the shower/tub could be a challenge. Otherwise the bathroom was very large and easy to move about in. Other perks here would be the excellent breakfast, onsite restaurant providing guests with a discount, and complimentary bus pass for Interlaken zones. The staff were helpful and kind. I will definitely stay again during my next visit to Interlaken.

The tomato soup was another two levels higher though! The best I've ever had. It tasted like eating pizza sauce to me...but I LOVE red sauce so understand the source. The service however was something to be desired. I asked the waiter to explain the fondue choices and I got a haughty response and felt like he was put upon. This could've been the European way, but I didn't feel like a customer. After the food he didn't come back to check on us. Again, could just be the European way. Highly recommended for the food and outdoor seating behind the glass or by the street.
