Hotel Belvedere Grindelwald - lounge area with nightly drinks and snacks

Views views views. Honestly the most spectacular views I've ever had from a hotel room. Service was superb, friendly and professional at every encounter. The rooms were large, beds a bit too hard (but they provided extra blankets to help me soften), pillows soft and comfy, fridge with free drinks, large balcony. We used their laundry service and our items were back early. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of options and continually replenished. Location is slightly off the main street...very quiet area, yet an easy walk to the train station, restaurants, and shopping. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful views! Thank the Lord, we got an amazing corner room with beautiful views of the mountains and the town. Their spa / hot tub is a beautiful perk, looking at the alps. Like the town, it's very touristy. I mean, we too found this hotel through Instagram haha. Their hotel dinner had a wonderful menu, and we celebrated our friend's birthday here. Everything tasted fresh and wonderful. MARINATED SALMON - was yummy and great to share. ASPARAGUS WITH HOLLANDAISE - It was asparagus season! It was sooo good with the truffle sauce. This was my favorite! TROUT - with smashed potato and whey sauce. Cooked well, great! AMERICAN RIBS - but with swiss cows so way better. Friends really liked this one! For dessert they gave us a GOLDEN BROWNIE cake for my friend's birthday. So sweet! We also got the FLOATING ISLAND which was a blind guess. It had egg white meringue with cream around it. Really interesting and tasty! Breakfast was full of choices. They have a lot of selection of cheese, including the local variety of eiger milch cheeses, so it was fun to try what my favorites were.

An amazing place to say the least. Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I have stayed in many 4-5 star hotels and this had one of the best breakfast selections which is important because food honestly isn't the greatest in Swiss and it's extremely expensive. Has a nice indoor pool which comes with sauna, shower places, and a locker with a hot tub outside! Located very conveniently to the train station which is about a 5 min walk. Plenty of parking spaces are available if you drove. They speak English. And the view. My goodness. I stayed in deluxe double with the city view and it was spectacular. I will come back again.

Great food and service. Breakfast buffet was a hit especially with kids. The truffle Ross was delicious. The hotel staff is super friendly and quite helpful.

View from the outdoor hot tub. It has jacuzzi jets too!!! Sooo relaxing

Visited these baths in Brigerbad during low season in mid-May. It was like having the place to ourselves. But this is a huge facility that caters to the ski trip crowd in the winter months. They have an infinity lap pool with at least 6-8 lanes, wet saunas, hot baths, warm baths that are indoor/outdoor with lots of cool features, and gym and massage/beauty treatments. The prices are Swiss (expensive), but worth the value. Bring your own towels, flip-flops, toiletries as this is not a day spa that provides it. They do provide lockers and hair dryers. It seemed more like a mix of a gym (with a focus on water features) and day spa, but with a restaurant as well. Anyway, totally awesome experience and a hidden gem in Brigerbad.

Everything we did at the spa was wrong. We got there too early, we wore shoes after the changing room (a huge no-no). After a swim in the admittedly beautiful roof-top jacuzzi we changed into clothing to eat lunch (sitting in wet cold clothes in the bistro did not sound appealing).... and all hell broke loose. We were 'ABSOLUTELY' not allowed to wear clothes to lunch. When we explained we didn't want to sit in wet clothes we were met with blank stares. After lunch we promptly were told off for bringing a plastic cup of water outside of the Irish Bath area and for trying to eat a muffin near where we bought it... muffins must be eaten in a specific muffin eating area apparently. All told we were scolded a total 5 times in just a few hours. If you're looking to be told off repeatedly and to pay a handsome $350 USD for the experience, this is the place for you! If not we recommend taking a swim in your hotel bathtub.

We had a huge patio on the 1st floor(floor above ground floor). The room was very spacious, with multiple table/seating areas. The bed was pretty comfy. The front desk lady was so sweet. We received two drink vouchers for the restaurant within the hotel. We never used them since there were so many restaurants to choose on the Main Street. This hotel was about a 9 minute walk from the train station and about a 1-3 minute walk to Grindlewald First Top of Adventure. We also had breakfast here and the offerings were very good. They had eggs, delicious bacon, and an assortment of bread. The lady at the front desk arranged a shuttle to take us to the train station the morning we left. We will definitely come back and stay here again!

Great Mountain views from the rooms on the front side of the hotel and the patio. Nice breakfast every morning - a mix of European and America style. We only had dinner there one night - a pretty good multi-course fixed menu for 30 CHF, which is pretty reasonable for the area. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. What would have to change for a 5 star rating? Better parking, slightly larger rooms, more electrical outlets, and better towels - all pretty minor things.

Where do I start with my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at?…read more So this is in the small town of Grindelwald, and getting here by public transportation is SO easy. You can walk from the station with your luggage, it's not that bad. If you rent a car they also had parking available too! It has everything you need: amazing rooms with views, a restaurant, bar, spa, a FREE laundry room, gym. I knew coming here it would be my time to relax and not really do much as I was traveling other places before. I picked this hotel for many reasons, but basically what I listed above was it, and once I arrived, everything exceeded my already high expectations. I had room 106 and it had the LARGEST patio ever. It came with a double swing, patio seats and table, and where do I even begin with the amenities in the room. A fantastic bluetooth speaker, bathrobes, slippers, coffeemaker, cups, wine glasses, etc. It was the most comfortable room ever. Spa was hands down just as gorgeous as it looks. Seriously message me if you want me to gush more. If you plan on wanting ZERO plans and just hanging around taking advantage of the hotel, this is your spot. The staff worked so hard- Dominique I saw you each morning for my FREE (included) breakfast and she was so attentive and sweet. Roger, my massage was AMAZING. Fabulous technique! I want to hug everyone who was there for my vacation 2/21-25 THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you're on the fence, you shouldn't be! BOOK THIS NO MATTER WHAT you will feel right at home! They even gave me parting cookies at check out, like for real, you guys are just magical.
