My divorce is contested which was discussed during the consultation, Laura was reluctant to address my request for relief or act in my best interest. I don't know if it was due to; trying to avoid confrontation, inexperience with complicated cases, or a simple matter of incompetence. I feel I was pushed to try mediation($), appear before magistrate($) when it was in my best interest to request a final hearing. Laura requested and received an additinonal sum before representing me in a motion for relief hearing filed by opposing counsel, which she lost when challenged by opposing counsel, costing me $1400 monthly. I was appalled to discover she didn't have any of my financial information to contest opposing counsel and she still didn't have my new address on record. Veterans please stay away from this attorney she is not familiar with military retirement/benefits or VA disability. DON'T be fooled by her military friendly website. So after doing basically nothing for $10K she filed a motion to be released of her attorney client contract and she actually won that case.

Then, she told me that while the 2 of them were cleaning, she left the KEY in the front door, which was open while they were taking trash out. She said a young black man wandered into the house, said he wanted to look around, & she let him! After he left, the key was missing & she couldn't find it anywhere! I told her how foolish it was to let a strange man come in, he could've hurt them, and he stole the key, which meant the locks would need to be changed! Luckily for me the owner was too cheap to change the locks so I wasn't charged for that; had I been, I would've had to deduct it from her fee. They did a good job, but had to come back because they hadn't swept off the patios or cleaned some paper that was stuck to the floor. They definitely need to step up their security & follow directions better, but I gave them 4 stars cuz they worked their asses off & the place was spotless afterward. In response to THEIR response, THERE WAS NO CAT FECES ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE. Some litter on the floor, BUT NO FECES ANYWHERE. I don't appreciate that remark!

While I was using the computers, I eavesdropped on other people who were there to satisfy if some nebulous requirement for various welfare benefits. Some of them seemed genuinely interested in securing a job, while others seemed put upon to even go through the motions of seeking employment. Who knows? Only those peoples' shadows. I've never seen all of the computers in use, and you can use them as much as you want and for as long as you want. With the caveat that you can only use the computers for job seeking activities. You can print for free, and you can fax for free. Only, of course, for job seeking stuff. Pick up the monthly schedule for seminars on resume writing, interviewing, and other stuff. The guys at the front desk will help you, and they are very adept and capable of answering any of your questions. You can scan stuff here, and email yourself the output as an attachment. They will provide the necessary thumb drive and instructions on how to do so. They'll set you up with an account that you can access from anywhere. All jobs are searchable with customizable parameters.
