BUT everyone at Ash Creek are the most kind, caring and empathetic people in the veterinarian profession that we have ever had the good fortune to meet. They all provided such beautiful loving care to our Mango right up to the end...and really beyond..we received personal cards from the doctors, as well as a donation to the Animal Health Foundation in Mango's name ( which I was just today able to read). We are deeply touched and moved by their kindness. It's clear this Clinic is NOT motivated by greed but by a true calling to care for all animals. Let me start by saying that every administrative and customer service interaction was timely, clear, and concise. The last thing you want in this situation are delays and confusion. Once I reached out through the contact link on their website, the email response with details about their different services happened within 10 minutes. An intake call to make arrangements for a euthanasia visit at our home was answered by a human and only took a few minutes. They recommend making a reservation 48-hours in advance, but we were put on a wait-list and we moved up our reservation when things opened up. I appreciate that you can reschedule (with four hours advance notice) as well. They have a variety of services, Eco-friendly cremation, and memorial pieces. Everything was arranged in advance, including payment through their web portal, so when the vet arrived for the appointment it was all about our boy and his (and our) comfort. Dr. Wilson clearly walked us through the process, gave us time to say goodbye, provided options, and was a wonderful partner in the process. Cremation is done at a facility in N. Portland, but they have the option of picking up the cremains in Oregon City which was more convenient for us. Having gone through this experience with another pet where we took them to the vet's office, I would highly recommend this option for the pet's comfort. It just felt better saying goodbye in a familiar space surrounded by love.

He LOVES going to the groomer because he has never once had a negative or stressful experience there. I tried to make a same day appointment last week for my dog to be fully groomed but they said the soonest possible time would be the following week. That was no problem because they're worth the wait. So I made my appointment for the following week but asked the woman on the phone if there was a chance she could just clip my pups nails that day since they were pretty unruly. She said of course. She trimmed Oli's nails that day and said that since he'd be coming in next week to be groomed that I didn't have to pay separately for the nail trim since it's included in the price of the grooming. Both groomers have been so sweet and accommodating to my pup and I. I felt terrible because I was 15 minutes late to Oli's appointment and would've totally understood if they had to reschedule me. Luckily the gal who helped me said that it was okay. These women are phenomenal and really go the extra mile for the dogs and their owners. Even though I was late they still groomed Oli between dogs. It's a win/win my dog gets to hangout with the rest of the dogs while he's getting groomed and I get to pickup a happy clean pup! I watched after she asked me to leave the exam room at holistic vet clinic where she worked until she quit. I watched her and a vet tech, try to stick a needle (vitamin supplement) in my dogs ear. Who does this? My dog was writhing and trying to get away and she continued to push the needle in to a place where I have NEVER seen any vet do! She was not thoughtful on how she handled Louie and he has NEVER been ok with vet visits since. To make matters worse, she charges people if they miss and appt however SHE never showed up for LOUIE'S appointment and expected us to see another Dr. who knew nothing about my dogs condition. We left Holistic Vet clinic and never went back. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS WOMANS WEBSITE. She has shown no compassion to my dog, or his suffering and charges top dollar for nothing!
