Yesterday my friend and I made a special trip out to the Lindt Factory Outlet (literally a chocolate factory) to see what it was like. I love Lindt chocolate so I was excited to see what they had on offer and the prices.
When I first walked in I was super impressed - chocolate from floor to ceiling, mountains of Lindt balls, blocks of chocolate that covered entire walls. I went with a "Pick & Mix" box and crammed my container as tightly as I could with chocolate. For $26 I got nearly 1kg of Lindt chocolate in all different varieties (#cleaneating).
Everything else though was a bit meh. The blocks of chocolate and bags I can pick up cheaper in the grocery store when it's on sale. When I think "Factory Outlet" I think discount, damaged goods. These products all looked pretty good so I don't see why it would be a factory outlet.
This place also needs a coffee shop or a cafe or something. Currently there is nothing out this way because it's all under development, and if someone decided to add a good quality cafe it would go off. read more
