I've been passed this store countless times on the way to the beach and never stopped off until I thought it was time to give it a try today. The store had a selection of different chocolates as well as a range of candies and ice creams that I was glad to see.
The front window had a selection of assorted Belgian and hand crafted chocolates, inside there were a range of candies in home-made style packs, such as their chocolate covered snakes, a freezer section with boutique ice cream brands like Ben and Jerry's ice cream, Pat and Stick's ice cream sandwiches and they also had your typical imported big brand name chocolates and candies near the front counter like Yorkie bars, peanut butter M&Ms and Reese's peanut butter cups.
After a little while browsing the store, I ended up with some of their Belgian chocolates, some hard candies and peanut butter M&Ms which all came up to $9. Pretty reasonable from what I thought was going to be an expensive encounter. The Beglian chocolates were good, although I enjoyed the hard Rhubarb and custard candies much more. A good shop to give you that sugar rush when you're craving the old milk bar/candy man experience. read more
