It was about to close, so I drove down to it just to get a bearing on what they're about, and (mainly) if they did ac repair. I was greeted warmly and was offered a time only 4 days away to have my car assessed. The morning of assessment, they looked at it almost right away and had my diagnosis ready. I ordered the part (compressor), and they installed it a week later at a reasonable price. My ac is working great Thank you Howell's! You've got a new customer!

First time here for oil change. Oil changes do not trigger check engine lights. Took them forever to fix the check engine light. Was late picking up someone from work as a result. I Checked under the hood later on and notice 25% of the splash guard engine cover under the vehicle is damaged and missing. We already have some missing plastic clips from the cover, so it sags a little. For some unprofessional odd reason, they decide to cut off the sagging area without notifying me. All it needed was a couple of plastic clips. Also was not told by management of the hidden charge for disposing the oil. It's not the fee or so much the mistake of triggering the check engine light that bothered me. It's the simple fact that nobody told me ahead of time of the hidden charge and the damages to the vehicle bottom engine cover in cutting it off. Now we have to buy a whole bottom engine splash cover.

Before the appointment the message cleared itself and the lights went out, but we took it there anyway to have them look for any history codes that might have caused it. I fully expected to pay a diagnostic fee. They checked it, and found an history error for the ABS pump (likely the case of the Stabilitrak error). But since it wasn't currently throwing an error, they suggested to take a wait-and-see approach. And to top it off, they didn't charge any diagnostic fee. You can bet that if it comes back, I'll be completely comfortable having Midas repair it. Or, if there are any other issues, Midas will be our shop of choice. It's nice having a company that you can trust. Thank you Midas!

They said " I will get home two hours away " if we can't fix this today. They found a part from a similar GM model and made the minor modifications to make it fit. They said GM uses the same fittings the hose for this model is a little longer we will just have bend it a little to fit in the space. I have lived all over the US and finding a GOOD mechanic is a challenge to say the least. If possible I will drive 150 miles back to have these folks fix my car if I can again. Every person who needs a mechanic should use these folks, they will do only the work necessary and not rip you off. May God Bless these folks with more business.
