For years, I've struggled and searched to find a place that "Sub-Specializes" in Outfitting the "Difficult" Foot. Clients are treated like patients; I'm serious - I don't know how else to explain. The amazing team @ Ralph Baker's Shoes - led by Marissa Wood- is incredible. You won't find an experience like this anywhere. I traveled nearly an hour from Charlotte for this service, and I can say with certainty, it was worth it. Marissa is an incredibly knowledgeable professional who is well-versed in pairing appropriate footwear with each of her patients/clients. Forgive me for sounding so medical. I can't stress the importance of having the appropriate footwear enough. This is a family-run business that has been in Salisbury for many years. Believe it or not, you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort - Ralph Baker has a tremendous selection. They literally have a warehouse of shoes; all different types. I challenge you to find a place with such a selection and exceptional service. It only exists in Salisbury. They tried 2 different machines for her card none which did not work. they tried it several times on each one. The casher had called another casher over and the first thing out of her mouth was must be your card after her being very rude and disrespectful to everyone waiting to check out she then looks back at the screen and kept looking at the screen making no eye contact saying ohh this said its on our end so you'll have to pay cash. The casher decided she would throw the shoes up against the wall.The lady left saying she would cash. Then the lady kept playing over what had happened as it was my turn to pay when the the teenage boy that was with the lady walked in by hisself I step aside to let him pay for his shoes she tried to get me to lay my stuff down and go ahead ans pay before him. I did not but then the lady behind the counter proceeded to tell this very polite young man that if the lady that had brought him in came to pick them up she would not have sold them to her. i just want to say this is a very rude, disrespectful, a big part of her job is customer service which always comes first the lady was not rude all she said was it wasn't her card and she knew there was money on it then we'll go to the teller. Please have someone take her aside and just go through the basics of customer service
